the view from our room was breathtaking, the ambiance was relaxing, and the food was fantastic.
The location of the Parador up in the mountains is excellent with stunning views from the bedrooms (Mount Teide on Tenerife can be seen on a clear day). The bedroom accommodation, lounges, & main areas are of the usual high standard found in Paradors (this one has only recently been opened/renovated). We thought the price of the Spa/indoor pool etc at over 30 euros each person was excessive otherwise we would have used it more. It's a pity there is no outdoor pool.
View and location Service was rather cold and off hand not what i expect at that level of hotel. Also Spa and pool were closed which i was not made aware off when booking so as a family very disappointed!
The view from the room, the balcony furniture with fleecy rugs for sitting above the clouds was amazing after a day of driving the zig zag roads. the cafe/restaraunt staff were very helpfull and attentive to the kids, and the standard of food excelent. The swiming pool shown in the photo's is not available unless you use the spa which is out of bounds for kids at all times. I had read reviews about it being closed so checked on paradors website, trip advisor and hotels website and there was no mention of this. This was the main reason we had booked.
This parador is located in the centre of the island with magnificent views of the mountains and easy access to walks and the very special Roque Nublo. I was amazed to get a twin room for 60 euros. Breakfast was extra at 15 euros each but very special. There could not be anything to dislike at this hotel.
clean new hotel with stunning views and very friendly staff; the reception staff speaks either english or german as a foreign language; Arrive early to enjoy the afternoon sun on the terrace looking at the great mountain scenery! only buffet breakfast is offered
Fantastic iews from our room and balcony. Staff not very friendly. No lighting for inside the wardrobe/lobby.
Excellent location for walks in the mountains and visiting the interior of Gran Canaria.
The view from the balcony towards the setting sun was beautiful. The hotel offered what they promised in this regard. It was quite expensive.
Tranquility Booking.com information stated things that were not there, ie., solarium, massage, jacuzzi, business centre, laudnry & ironing.
Good food and friendly staff. Good base for walking Did not like the open plan bathroom-I like toilets to have a door! Also the room was small and smelt of food, and there was nowhere to sit comfortably, apart from the bed
Good location for walking. Attractive comfortable rooms. Other guests very nice. Disappointing food
i liked almost everything there. Nice atmosphere, good garden, breathetaking view on the mountains, nice stuff. -
Splendid, though challenging walking from the door into the amazing Gran Canerian mountains and gorges Eating in the evening is a problem. Though one of the largest central Gran Canarian villages, Tejeda is very quiet even in the 'high season' of mid-February - with wholesome but simple food available from only one (different) cafe per night. But its Almond Festival, when blossom abounds at this time, changes everything - though this year this was spoiled by rain.
Lovely hotel well situated to walk up Roque Nublo. Has a nice common room, but unheated and locked in the evening (Feb.'09) No heating, everyone seemed to wear coats for breakfast, no restaurant or bar open. All restaurants in the village close before 9:00pm if you can get them to serve you. I like a quiet life, but what happens here after 20:00. I don't recomend the drive to the village after dark!
Great location and view, very friendly and helpful staff, god facilities, good breakfast (but remember to bring warm clothes for cool mornings). Possibility to have earlier breakfast, and perhaps more varied selection of bread.
The Location, The Individuality, The general comfort. The friendly helpfulness of the staff.. Cold breakfast room was a nuisance, Local amenities in Tejeda for late eating were very restrictive. This would not stop us visiting again, we would plan our days differently.
Good location for walks in central Gran Canaria. Probably one of the better hotels in that area. Lack of heating, especially in bath room. Only 2 quality restaurants in Tejeda, and open only from 20:00 to 21:30.
The room was cosy. The hotel's staff and all people in Tejeda were very friendly. The mountain views - great.
Spa was good, receptionist was very helpful. Room spacious and bathroom clean. Excellent parking facilities. We did ask for no smoking room and it obviously was a smokers room. Smell. ashtray etc.
good breakfast, good spa, pleasant staff. nope.
Quiet, close to good fish restaurants. Excellent buffet breakfast. Good Christmas Eve meal - good value for money too. Owing to adverse weather conditions for five days we made use of indoor pool and free indoor parking. Free internet.
Hotel staff very helpful. The accommodation spacious and enjoyed the spa. Was the best hotel of the four we stayed at in Gran Canaria but it was the most expensive. It felt lonely because there were very few clients.
Location and Agaete city as part of gran canaria The price from booking.com was almost half higher than the price availabe directly aplying hotel 210 EUR for 2 nights junior suite 2 persons ocupation, directly was 110 EUR. and Junior suites doesnt have balconies, so we were oblidge to take normal cheaper twin room but at higher t booked price,
Spacious room;superb bathroom;helpful staff;good on-site parking;peaceful;excellent spa facility. Our room looked out onto the adjacent wall of buildings opposite-we were expecting a mountain view. The restaurant was poor both as to food and service. We would stay at the hotel again but only if we had a mountain view.We would not recommend half - board to any one!
We liked the quiet atmosphere and the willingness of te staff to find an alternative solution when we had a complaint. The level of services was not according to our expectations in a 4-star hotel.
Great balcony and the room was so clean and cared for,the breakfast`s were full of everything. We also had a view of Mount Teide from the balcony. There were not any.
We have now stayed in this hotel on four separate occasions and have always found the staff pleasant and the facilities excellent.

Hotel staff was extremely professional and nice. The hotel was impeccably clean and comfortable. The hotel had excellent pool, jacuzzi, and spa facilities. Everything was absolutely excellent.
Mostly everything, and the very nice staff more staff with more english knowledge
The peaceful and tranquil atmosphere make it easy to relax. The evening meals available at the hotel are satisfactory, but choice is very limited.
The hotel, an ex orange-tree farm, is in glorious surroundings. The staff are excellent. The evening meal had no choice except vegetarian.
Relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Staff extremely friendly, helpful and supportive. My wife had a bad fall (off premises) and the support and assistive nature was second to none. Variety of nationalities staying there. Nothing
Friendly helpful staff. A peaceful relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful colonial house
The location of this hotel is perfect for anyone who enjoys walking and the outdoors, with trails close by. Gran Canaria has more to offer than beach holidays and this is a good base to travel around the island and see what the north side has to offer. After a hard day of walking, you can enjoy reading by the pool with stunning views of the moutains close by. The hotel is tucked away in a lovely valley away from the main town. It is therefore necessary to have a car to go out to eat each evening unless you eat in. It is more of a B&B rather than a hotel.
Situation (in an orange grove, with avocadoes, guavas etc), character of the building, peace & quiet, like-minded (i.e quiet and civilised) guests, pool (but cold!). Nothing to dislike.
The hotel is very romantic and the views are magnificent. In addition, the staff was simply fantastic. The hotel makes available an all-day snack bar and drinks, so this is the perfect place to relax by the pool away from the touristy resorts from the south of the island. Hotel needs a little bit of TLC. Staff should promote the evening meal better because the Agaete area is lacking in decent options for dinner, except for touristy mediocre restaurants by the harbour.
