Very nice room; very kind staff/receptionist Nothing, everything was perfect
The hotel itself was nice, but the location was disappointing, as it located between to big camping sites. We would not book again.
Staff at the hotel were excellent and the hotel was very clean. Very peaceful location. No swimming pool, but beach is nearby
Very nice rooms and grounds. Friendly staff. Location just a couple of minutes on foot from the nearest beach in a relatively unspoilt region of Sardinia.
Very pleasant environment ..great garden setting and nice private sun areas at the front of each unit . Spacious room We were allocated a unit fitted for people who have a disability without being consulted..while this was not a problem in itself the fact that each time we used the shower the entire bath room floor flooded due to the shower floor not being graded down adequately. As the tiles are very slippery when wet we were concerned that we may leave with a disability due to high risk of slipping...we felt this situation was quite dangerous and needs addressing.I provide this information as constructive feedback as we loved staying at this hotel.
The hotel is confortable, walking distance to the beach Strange smell from some plants/trees (alergy??)
excellent and friendly staff, closeness to beaches.
The position of the hotel between two camping sites was not great but the hotel itself was very nice and the location in between several wonderful beaches, most notably Monti Russu, was definitely a plus.
very cheerful friendly and helpful staff, who were able to provide us with dinner even though we had arrived latish. Loan of beach umbrellas was appreciated. The view from the terrace, and the peaceful rural location. Nice little pool and area was clean. The rooms were quite small. The TV was small and suspended high up on wall, difficult to view. Rooms not particularly well soundproofed. Not much fruit at breakfast and no cereals. The coffee was poor. Unnecessary small steps with uneven and broken tiling on pool terrace.
Beautiful location - but you need a car. Swimming pool, friendly people, good atmosphere. Great base for day trips. Breakfast - only crossiant and very little to choose. The pool was only open 10-18. Only one person among the staff understood English. Small rooms. 5-6 km to nearest shop, village, other restaurant, beach. I think it is too expensive. BUT we had a great holiday.
Friendly staff, excellent restaurant, wonderful views, miles of unspoilt local beaches
Hotel staff were excellent. Nice rural location. Food superb. Nice pool. Noise travelled up from bar or breakfast area and also from other rooms, both at night and in the mornings.
It's a B&B and not a hotel. The only good thing was the reasonably priced dinner. The rooms were hardly cleaned, nobody changed the sheets after four nights, the bathroom was uncomfortable and felt old and dirty. We booked 7 nights and left after 4, because we could not stand it for longer. Friendly owner, but this is not enough. It's not a place I would recommend or would return to.
The location in the mountains of Gallura was beautiful as was the old village which had lots of character and very friendly locals. The hotel was lovely in terms of decor - done in Sardinian style, and it was clean and well maintained with pretty grounds and swimming pool from which there was a lovely view across the mountains. Hotel was in a quiet location with plenty of parking. This could have been a fantastic hotel. Staff are polite but become surly and unhelpful the minute they are asked to do anything "out of the ordinary". The mattresses were exceptionally hard - I like a hard bed but this was the hardest bed I'd ever slept on. We consequently woke up with bad backs and broken sleep for most of the 2 week stay that we were there. The hotel said all the beds had new mattresses exactly the same as ours (presumably they must have bought a cheap job lot) so there was no point in moving us to another room. I asked if they could provide mattress toppers to which they said No, so I asked if they could provide extra blankets so that I could lay them on the bed to soften the mattress - again the answer was No, and that sleeping on blankets was not acceptable. Talking to other guests, they found their beds very hard too. Had we not prepaid we would have left.
it has a swimingpool, not large but when you are in the middle of nowhere is good to have it. Terrace for breakfast was nice if you do not mind regular fog in the morning. Do not recommend this hotel. Very rude, aggressive and unfriendly owners/staff. Locaton-it is far from evrything, in the mountains, becouse of curvy roads it tooks us 2 h to the beaches. No air condition, no frige. TV was that old thet it only had 2 colours. Did not change our towels regularry even folded back our dirty ones! And for breakfast they served old boild egs.Dining in hotel was also very expensive. We have paid our room 96 euros/night, it was higly overprized, you schould not pay more than 50 euros for this hotel.
There were very few guests during our stay and we had the hotel almost to ourselves. Private pool area, proximity to archiological sites and cleanliness are positive aspects. The fact that the hotel ristorante was not opened due to lack of people
Impossible to find a fault-Room light, spacious and clean and staff excellent.Location ideal for all points in N Sardinia.Evening meals superb and value for money compared to restaurants outside.Highly recommended Nio
The location was very good, as the costa smeralda was just a short drive away.the food was excellant. And such friendly staff.
Everything about Hotel San Trano was beyond of our Expectation. I can say, that theese hotel should be rated with 1(one) star hiogher, but I'm afraid, that than the price would not be so frendly as is. I recomend theese Hotel to Everybody, who want to make round treeps in theese part of Sardenija. Nothing.
Nice, very clean room, beautifull view, good atmosphere. No.
Clean comfortable, wll serviced, great staff, graet restaurant No complaint.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff more than helpful and small village. I liked the breakfast and the views were beautiful Check in time not till 4pm. You can hear everything from adjoining rooms, noise echoed throughout but with a couple of glasses of wine did not hear a thing.
Staff were quite friendly and the Hotel was in a non tourist area, so you got the experience of real Sardinia Hotel was very poorly equipped. They advertised horse riding, table tennis etc on their website and they had non of those activities available. The pool was tiny and the Hotel was very basic and just abou bearable to stay in. Hotel looked nothing like the pictures and had paint flaking off on the building
