Too close to the main road
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Such a shame we had to complain to them. The room was of a good standard and comfortable although it was very dark. Great mattress. Housekeeping were good. The pool was lovely although not 'large' as indicated in reviews.
This hotel is right next to the main road into Alghero so busy 24/7. It was not, therefore, either quiet or relaxing. Like staying in a motel on the M1! This is not a 4* hotel. It's a 3* motel with a pool on a very busy road. Don't be mislead, as we were, by the pictures and reviews. The first review I saw on booking.com was 'Superb' then supported by other very positive reviews. Absolutely not and it definitely is not a spa. Great if you're back- packing around Sardinia and a fair stop off on your travels. This IS NOT what we wanted or expected. It is of poor quality. I'm not sure how hotels are awarded star ratings in Sardinia?! On arrival we immediately expressed our concern to the hotel but were refused a refund so we could move elsewhere. If you want true 4* and 5* there are 2 hotels in Alghero on the front, one of which is Carlos V and another not too far from it. Much better and true 4* and 5*. Our complaint about the calibre of the hotel and our request to move was not resolved by either booking.com or the hotel, the manager having very poor customer service skills. I currently have bookings with booking.com which I will be cancelling. The restaurant tries it's best but the food is terrible. Much better to go to Kings or Trattoria Saletta in Alghero. Fab' food at both. You need a car. On the outskirts on Alghero with €10 shuttle per trip. We had hired a car so not a problem for us.
Good location just a bit out of town. Two excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Friendly staff. Nice pool.
My lasagna at lunch was very overpriced.
Great pool area!
Nowhere to dry towels/beachwear on terraces
Beautifully kept hotel, grounds and rooms. Excellent and friendly service and staff. Lovely and super relaxing pool area. Breakfast was good and onsite restaurant was some of the best food we have eaten in Sardinia (good value too!) Our only disappointment was that we only had a one night stay!
Couldn’t find fault. Perfect!
