staff was friendly, nice breakfast room with view on the garden, good free parking it is a no nonsense business hotel (groups coming in for meetings etc...) so not very charming!
Great rooms, quiet location next to highway
Easy to reach. Good parking possibilities. Clean room. Poor TV picture and no improvement after complaint. Standard furniture; not very modern. Hall without flair. Very expensive breakfast.
Friendly, easy access. Nice comfortable rooms.
The breakfast buffet was good. The restaurant, although with limited menu, served delicious gourmet salad. Its quite far from Amsterdam Central, although there is a train station 1.2 km away. Our stay coincided with an IBC conference so most moderately-priced hotels in Amsterdam were booked.
It was a quiet facility and I liked the fact that they had designated non-smoking rooms. I had a strange sewer like smell for the duration of my stay there. At first I thought it was only my room but I smelt it in some of the hallways as well.
The good restaurant and the quieteness of the hotel. Sometimes there was too much smoke in the receprion. On top of that the smoke could enter the restaurant. That was the only (but for me) important negatif point.
The rooms were clean and air conditioned. The beds were comfortable.
the friendly and welcoming atmophere created by its staff I would prefer for the hotelo to have some sports facilites
Very smart rooms, great decor. Comfortable beds, air-con. Still have world's worst remote contro/user-interfacel for tv!
The desk staff were exceptional, they helped us with planning routes around the local area on multiple occasions and made excellent recomendations for local restaurants, Some of the best customer service i've experienced no
Special "opening price" of 60 euro/room, bathtub, buffet breakfast, TV with a lot of programs and films. Free wireless internet. The beds are wheeled and move when one sits there. The TV is mounted in the wall and therefore can be watched only from the bed. There's no information about hotel's services in the room. The windows are too high situated - nothing is seen from there. Breakfast were served and the tables were cleaned by just one girl - she didn't manage to do everything. And more.
the rooms are cool, the beds were comfortable. location for us was perfect for us as we were visiting family in the area. (close to plenty of shops.)
I liked its location and the size of the room
I liked the area where the hotel is located, I liked the slick design of the hotel. Good, but since there is no storrage at all in the room, then I would not recommend it for stays more than one night.
Goede bedden, evt. extra kussens. Goed ontbijt. Good beds, with extra pillows if neaded. Nice breakfast I ate in the restaurant, where I ordered a steak medium-rare. I had to give it back 2 times: the first was medium-welldone, the second was cold. The excuse: it was difficult. I had to explain to the waiter what medium-rare meant. The beds are good, but try a local restaurant for your diner ;)
Design Problem with the breakfast
Pleasant welcome; comfortable, modern bedroom; 'Opening offer' very good value. Not sure why you'd need to visit Almere town centre, but hotel is very convenient for it. Apart from reception few staff in evidence. Parking was a hassle when we arrived in evening. 'Opening offer' was good value, but hotel needs quite a lot of staff training. In theory buffet breakfast was good, but many tables not cleared and the 'hot' breakfast items were nearly cold making breakfast disappointing.
the trendiness and cleanliness of the rooms. location was good and view was lovely.
Excellent location, in the rural area of Holland, close to the walled city, bike rental, lake, and quick easy train ride to the heart of Amsterdam Nothing
I stayed for a single night on business and stayed in Naarden as it was close to the office. Hotel is a short taxi ride from Naarden-Bussum station. It also serves a satisfactory dinner and breakfast. Room was very clean and perfect for business travel. Wifi in the room is not free but you can get free wifi in the restaurant in 30 minute increments. For me it was convenient, well-priced and I would stay here again. Although I was overall very satisfied the hotel, as a chain, lacks personality and if something more personal had offered dinner I would have stayed there. The restaurant is satisfactory but not more than good. The food is tasty and acceptable for this standard of hotel but not a highlight.
Easy to find from the motorway Fitness basic, No airconditioning, Restaurant closed 1 hour before time advertised
Good staff, variety of breakfast options Bar closing time
The breakfast was very good The choices for food in the evening were very limited
Very friendly staff. Comfortable room by reasobable price. Free parking. Convenient location near autostrade but quiet. There was no aircon in the room I stay. It is not problem in Autumn, but may be significant in summer time.
Very basic hotel Having to pay for car parking
Hospitality location Expensive breakfast @ 19 Euro
Breakfast, private parking
clean room, nice modern bathroom. Breakfast nice buffet. Visit to Naarden Vesting is a MUST. Fortress village surrounded by double moat. Straight shot to Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam) and close to the main East-West Highway. No A/C in the room. A bit stuffy with warm weather.
excellent buffet breakfast no minibar in the room
No frills, well functioning Bar Menu = some more small warm dishes
Staff attitude. Complimentary wlan (Wi-Fi). No room service, although staff allowed food to be taken to room. Changed decision at last minute on allowing groceries to be delivered, yet ended up ok in the end.
Honestly I did not like this hotel at all, poor quality/very unfriendly man behind the counter. Elevator was not working. Poor service
the staff were friendly and very helpful. At breakfast the cold meats and cheeses on display should be covered.
It is a nice hotel but is in the middle of nowhere. By the time you pay 10 Euris cab fare each way and 10 euros for the half hour trip to visit the city center, you might as well say in a more expensive hotel in the city
Clean room. Restaurant and staff not geared up to coping with the number of guests in the hotel. Meals overcrowded, tables slow to be cleared and reset.
It's a pitty that the food in not in line with the rest of the hotel. The prices are too high for what you get. The menu is very dutch oriented.
fast check-in, pleasant front office staff, clean environment, comfortable rooms breakfast closed at 9:00 AM, which is too early if one tries to do a bit of early morning exercise beforehand. Fitness room exists, and was useful, considering it rained all morning, but it's too meak or modest of a fitness room.
some where to sleep!! when there is no choice. During the time we stayed 5 nights and it was week days they did not change the sheets and for soap and shampoo we had to ask at night. But the employee are friendly may be they were ordered not to leave any soaps or clean the room. We had two rooms and it was like that and every time we were told that this is not happening again.
When we arrived there were one large and two handtowels in the room. I indicated twice to staff that there where two people using the room. The first time an extra bath towel was provided. I assumed that the need for two bath and hand towels would have been communicated to the cleaning staff, especially since we had to use one hand towel as a non-slip mat before the shower unit. The staff in the restaurant were excellent. see comments above. The hotel is a business hotel and I assume younger persons use it for that reason. If my husband was on business he would use it and recommend it to others because he only wants a bed for the night.
Modern design, like Casa 400 in A'dam, but a bit more space. Each room has small coffee machine, two paper cups with tea bags each day, electric tea pot, TV, free wi-fi (with wire if needed). Very nice and silent hotel. One room had no safe at all. Another room had safe but it was broken. Placed in Almere (not sure if it is advantage or disadvantage).
Night club under hotel!! Very very loud music until circa 4am on Saturday night.
the room is very nicely designed and quite spacious. it feels very comfortable. there is no door to the bathroom and the glass door to the shower is fully transparent. it looks nice but I would suggest to make the glass door to the shower non-transparent as it would feel more comfortable.
pleasant reception staff; newish rooms, clean environment wifi still doesn't work at this hotel, although reception gives you a short cable with which to connect to the wired network access. Disappointing to note that the Mexican and Argentine restaurant on the 2nd floor closed recently. Breakfast at hotel Finn's 1st floor area is OK, although with fried eggs cold (not warmed). It needs a warming light or fixture.
We enjoyed the hotel and it's modern enviornment. The room was nice, clean, comfortable. I liked the modern bathroom and shower. It is close to Almere Central Station Food was very good. The bad thing was that there is a disco on the ground floor that was very noisy! I arrived too late to change the room.
Close to station, comfortable sized rooms., Nice shower Still building work being carried out in hotel, Could hear music from nightclub well into the early hours of morning, no air conditionion
Central location wireless signal is low, it is really hard to get it. so get a cable from reception. they turn of central heating during the day and night. so please be aware of that if you are staying in winter.
They had the decency to call and ask when I was arriving and arrange for me to get my key out of hours. Noise from outside when bar closed
Nice hotel, small but well-proportioned rooms. Comfy beds! Wi-Fi is a bit hit and miss but wired connection is fine (and all inclusive). Good location for bars, restaurants, station, etc As above, wi-fi reception (in some rooms?) not so great - but barely an issue given free use of cable for wired connection.
Staff very friendly. Overhead drop shower was excellent. Decor very good condition (only open 3 months though). Very handy for many restaurants (and bars). 5 min walk to Railway station. Bed very comfortable. Wireless internet. Decent lighting in room. Breakfast was in different hotel and not great. No air-conditioning (reflected in price) but leaving window open in rooms overlooking square made it noisy until late (music from clubs and people sitting out). No drawers in room.
Excellent quiet, small-scale hotel, perfectly situated next to a train station with frequent connections to Amsterdam. Nice rooms with all amenities. Friendly and accomodating staff. We have stayed there several times, and service remains on the same, very accomodating level.
Very friendly and helpful staff Glass panel near our room did not have a warning so I walked into it! No double beds for married people.
Its position in relation to the railway station No
Clean, the room was so quiet so I had one of the best nights sleep I have ever had in a hotel! Nothing
clean shower the proximity of the railway
Is a bit far from the Amsterdam about 35min by train, and far from the local shops 1km by foot, easy for visitors with a car.
We liked Bussum very much. We thought the hotel was good for our requirements. Enjoyed the breakfast. We would stay there again certainly. Wheelchair access was ok, but the doors into the hotel are difficult. Car Parking security - we noticed that there was evidence that cars are broken into by the station. Increased video / lighting would help.
Very simple clean and tidy just exactly what is expected. A quiet room with a comfortable bed for a good nights sleep, followed by a simple straight forward breakfast. staff could be better trained to help customers.
Central position in Holland No staff available for half an hour when we arrived, door open poor excuses why
The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was very good in the hotel restaurant. The best part of our stay was Tommie. He was a major factor in making our stay comfortable. He assisted us with directions and made several valuable suggestions. He was friendly, courteous and spoke excellent English.
the friendly waitresses we got stuck in the lift for 30 mins before any one came to reassure us
The continental breakfast was excellent, thanks to the chef. It was actually not a hotel, but a restaurant/pub with some sleeping rooms. I recommend this hotel in only in case "dance-drink-sleep".
The area was livey and a good place to go out for a drink Very basic.
Good location, no strong noise, a good view from the windows, a possibility of booking single rooms.
Relaxed atmoshere, good sized room with excellent balcony The Disco at the weekend is VERY loud and does not stop until 4/5am. Rooms can get hot during the day - no air conditioning!
location in center of Almere, on top of restaurant; pleasant bar staff when check-in is located wifi didn't work; reception couldn't check me in due to computer problem; breakfast was quite ordinary, not very professional
Friendly, lively atmosphere. Only that I didn't like the room that came with the single option. Didn't like the fact that balcony shared with another room when in absence of air con, needed to have door and window open. Didn't feel secure. Otherwise, fine, but will make sure go for a different room next time.
the bamboo floor! there was no refridgeration and no coffee or teamaking facilities
Pleasant athmosphere very noisy during the weekends, I would guess; with all the gigs on I mean
a good location, decent rooms, nop oise problems on thursday evening at least. there are very few hotrels in almere so this one is recommended the interior of the room is not my taste..
