Comfortable, adjustable bed firmness Very friendly staff Great location
Room smelled like cigarette smoke trying to get covered up.
Clean, all the amenities I needed, exactly what I was looking for.
Free breakfast would have been nice.
I called to book with them direct as I was in a panic. My daughter was sick and at school in Ames and needed me to be there. The rate over the phone was almost $60 more than the rate online. I loved the lesser option. The front desk staff was amazing. On the evening of Sept 26th and the morning of the 27th. They were all great. I will say I was shocked when there was a knock on my door at 9am from housekeeping. I had NEVER heard of that before checkout time, unless the staff was thinking the room was likely vacant. My daughter was sleeping. I went downstairs to let them know that that is not something I appreciated since we had until Noon. The Nice young lady (Amazing) was very apologetic and offered free breakfast coupons for the inconvenience. Finally, the dark, curly haired young man that was serving at breakfast that day was AMAZING. he went above and beyond and sadly I did not have any cash to tip him. I would stay again. I would stay there every time when we are in Ames, but it now will depend on rates and restrictions.
I was frustrated because we know we have to go back to Ames on Nov 1st for an event. I tried to book with Hilton and the room rate was $268 for a king with a two night min. This is Ames, IA. I found a place I like, but it impossible to get a reasonable room. I already book with someone else that night.
