Sarah, Dec 2025
The hotel was exactly what we wanted. Location is everything and the NH City Centre was quiet at night but walkable everywhere we wanted to be. It does not have a lot of fancy facilities, breakfast looked good but we didn’t eat there. Limited lunch and dinner service in November, but that was not important to us. We paid for the superior room and our friends had a regular double room and the diffe...

Pros (+) Location. The staff. The room was spacious and well maintained, clean with great ciew of the canal. My was a superior triple room.
Cons (-) A bit noisy if you leave the windows opened, but you can close them and that cuts off some of the noise; it is city center after all.

Pros (+) Perfect location for a tourist. Helpful, pleasant staff. Small but cute single room with an excellent (canal) view.
Cons (-) Not sure if my expectations were different because I'm American, but I sorely missed having an ice machine, microwave and small fridge for use. There was a mini fridge in the room but it was secured as it contained minibar items.I didn't open it for fear I'd be charged for items. Furthermore, I wasn't sure there was any space inside for non-minibar items. I also never received a facecloth during m...

Pros (+) Very central location, a few minute walk from Dam square. We had a superior double room, which was spacious and very nicely finished. The bathroom was also very nice. For breakfast, there is a wide range available - cooked, pastries, breads, fruits and yoghurts etc etc....
Cons (-) Room was located on the ground floor which meant it was a little noisey - but you can't have a central location and no noise!

Pros (+) This is the place to stay for visitors to Amsterdam. Great location near everything. Great restaurants and bars near by. One of the better coffee shops and smart shops just a minute away.
Cons (-) Nothing.
