Pros: This was a truly excellent stay and Lahloo B&B really deserves a 10 star score!! Everything was beyond perfect: tasteful decorations, attentiveness of the host and the amazing breakfast. The rooms are spacious, but cosy, the whole B&B is spotlessly clean and there is an attention for details that is rare to find. I strongly recommend this B&B.

Pros: Received a lovely welcome. Our host helped us with directions to the local bars and places to eat. Also supplied us with extra teabags when required. The room was very nice and bed comfortable. Delicious breakfast.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a dressing table mirror where I could dry my hair and do my make-up while my partner was in shower. As a matter of personal choice we would have preferred not to have feather pillows. But, otherwise the bed was very comfortable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely stay at Brackness. The hosts are genuinely welcoming and friendly and were most accommodating with our two young children. Also, there were also lots of very thoughtful touches such as leaving a baby towel in the bathroom - the owners clearly take pride and effort into ensuring their guests are happy with their stay. The hosts also gave us some excellent local beach knowledge which led to us having a fabulous family day out. The B&B is extremely well maintained, very clean, comfortable and the location is central, perfect for walking to the harbour in 5 mins. We also enjoyed having access to a kids play park which was just across from the property. Last but not least, the breakfast was delicious! Would visit again, and recommend to others. Wonderful, thank-you.

Pros: A very adequate breakfast.
Cons: The beds in our room were very narrow for adult people.

Pros: Very accommodating of our needs.
Cons: Nithing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was absolutely fantastic and we had a great time wandering around the Esplanade when we arrived. There were plenty of nice places to eat and there was a band playing, so there was a lovely atmosphere which made you feel like everyone was on holidays and enjoying themselves. The Hostel itself was really good. We had a really nice room that looked over the bay and the bathrooms weren't too far away. The community kitchen area was clean and had everything we needed. We had been a bit worried about where to park, but found one just around the corner which was good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place with big kitchen (all supplied) & nice & hepful personel. Situated right next to the bus stop (buses pass like every hour) & tours to Isle of May start really close to this place. Bars & shops are right next to it.
Cons: Rooms are not big & no chairs or small tables or shefves & there's just one plug for 2 beds, so everyone trying to get there & the rest have to wait, but not that many people, so it may be ok
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Pretty little fishing villiage with places to eat, gift shops, small supermarket.. The hostel was immaculate with beautiful sea views and comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and plenty of space to relax. Only wish we could have stayed another night. I would happily stay again.
Cons: There was confusion about the agreed cost, done by verbal agreement on the phone. A simple e-mail verification would have avoided this.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, sizeable room. We went for a private double. Amazing view! Good communal spaces, very close to pubs and shops
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and assisted with any questions we had about the hostel or the town. Room was on first floor, light and airy with high ceiling, Large window faced on to the harbour so good sea views. Sitting-room/lounge was large and comfortably furnished. Self-catering kitchen was spacious and reasonably well equipped.
Cons: Breakfast was not provided, and although this is usual in a hostel, it would be an advantage to do so. Our bedroom windows required some gymnastics to close/open, though staff would have done this for us.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Rudimentary but commanding relatively high price compared with other places we stayed in Fife
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfy shower powerful and everything was spotlessly clean. Right across from bus stop but easy to walk to pittenweem. Friendly and easy check in / out by staff :) definitely stay again

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: Breakfast involved a long walk to another location that the public had access to. Had to wait an average of about 45-50 minutes to get served. Not ideal. Would be better if breakfast was available in the property.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: BREAKFAST WAS VERY NICE
Cons: PARKING COULD BE DIFFICULT BUT NO FAULT OF THE HOSTS
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view was amazing and I could have sat there for a long time just staring out to sea! Linda was an excellent host and explained everything carefully. A very comfortable night's stay.
Cons: Parking was quite tricky as we had arrived on a busy weekend, however we chose not to venture down the narrow streets and park the car a little way away. This worked well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the suite we stayed in, 100% peace and quite exactly what we wanted, perfect location and amazing place.
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Excellent welcome and support from owner of the property. Good complimentary breakfast at the Boathouse, which is under the same ownership as Belstane. The decanter of whiskey was also a nice touch! The nearby fishing villages: Crail, Anstruther and Pittenweem, are all worth a look.
Cons: Everything was fine. Belstane is really a guesthouse annexe of the Boathouse, so onsite facilities are a little limited. This is more than compensated for by the attention of the owner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. From Linda’s friendly cheerful welcome to the huge warm, room (with a small carafe of good whisky ) overlooking the sea. It was immaculate, furnished with care and style, and with a huge comfy bed. Breakfast is served in their harbour side cafe one kilometre away on the flat - just enough to raise a healthy appetite. We wIll be going back. The information pack provided was helpful and proved accurate. The area is full of good restaurants and chippies, the scenery is full of god walks along the coast, the local history is complex and well displayed, and the boat trip to the Isle of May was wonderful.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: It had an extra room - not just a bedroom & a view .
Cons: There was no parking at the hotel. The street was so narrow that we feared for our wing mirrors.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room in lovely village.

Cons: There is nothing to not like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Angus was an excellent host and made myself and my family feel very welcome, he's a credit to the costal Inn. Rooms met expectations, nice and comfortable and clean.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: That we managed to det a room at Cairnryan where we had asked for one instead of the one that you had offered us in Edinburgh!!!!
Cons: That it was in Edinburgh!
6.3 Good
Pros: The actual room was very good. All facilities worked, spotlessly clean and comfortable with good bathroom and toilet facilities. Staff in pub very friendly.
Cons: No breakfast on premises, and no check-out facilities, hence paying in advance. Also rooms were not made up each morning. okay for one night, but not for four. Worst aspect is the parking. It is horrendous. Pub/Hotel in such a narrow street you have to park in a space - if you can find one - with your wheels on the narrow pavement right up against the buildings. Danger of car being scraped and wing mirrors damaged extremely high. The worst parking I have ever experienced anywhere.

Pros: The friendly staff. The cleanliness. The quirky entrance with the little garden and table and chairs. The very good value in the restaurant.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was very modern, beautiful and very clean. The food was fantastic! I had two breakfasts and a dinner, every meal was delicious. Friendly staff and I think is a very good place to stay to attend the annual Pittenweem Art festival.
Cons: The view from bedroom window isn't nice but it is absolutely beyond the owners control. However the fact that the bedroom was so beautifully and modernized, very large, with a comfortable bed the fact of the view didn't bothered me at all, after all I managed to rest and enjoy the art festival. Another limitation is it doesn't have parking but it was very easy for me to find a safe free parking in one of the streets located at just 1 minute walking from the place.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous accommodation right in the centre of Anstruther, convenient for the harbour and restaurants and shops along the front. The room was very spacious and bed really comfortable. Excellent choice of breakfasts, loved all the fresh fruits.
Cons: We had a room on the 2nd floor which only had a small window that would open. There was also a velux window in the sloping roof that let in some light. It was rather warm and stuffy, but the staff were kind enough to lend us a fan, which made our stay so much more comfortable.

Pros: Stayed 3 nights at the Golf Hotel in Crail whilst attending a wedding near bye.The breakfast was good, the staff were very friendly and very helpful nothing was to much trouble, I had to move room and staff moved my luggage for me and then came to advise new room was ready and my luggage was in room. Would recommend room 7, it has 3 windows each with a different view including the sea on the horizon, the other 2 windows provide different views of Crail Main Street
Cons: The hotel met my expectations but I would not recommend room8, it has no view of any description and is hot and stuffy although a fan is provided. My only other complaint was the poached eggs at breakfast on the first day were hard, but as I prefer my eggs soft this wasn’t good but I asked for soft poached eggs the next day and this is what I got, no other complaints or dislikes
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Central location in the village excellent
Cons: Seagulls very noisy early morning, but there is nothing the hotel can really do about this issue.

Cons: Hotel maybe in need of sprucing up externally - but other than that the hotel very comfortable with excellent hosts.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Getting away for a few days to relax, reminisced about old days in Anstruther,
Cons: The hotel being a bit too far out, the hotel being pricey for food n drink, although the food was nice, it didn’t justify the prices, far to quiet, literally, seemed to be myself and partner in the hotel as quests, the bed being to low,
