Located in Antonito, Indiana Jones Bed & Breakfast is a 3-minute walk from Manassa Town Hall and a 3-minute drive from Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, a library, and microwave in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good breakfast, great location, friendly helpful 1 person staff.
Cons: Bed and floor squeaked whenever one moved, television had no cable nor satellite (only used for DVD's), no fan or air conditioning, our "garden view" balcony really was a "junky unkempt backyard" view, outside of building in need of updating.
Pros: Great place for one-night stay (before or after riding Cumbres & Toltec Railroad)! Clean and cozy room and homemade breakfast were awesome :) Also I want to mention beautiful interiors - this was like you stepped inside a movie. And don't forget - this house was filmed in Indiana Jones!
Pros: Not sure how this place passes health inspection 2 big dogs in & out of kitchen 1 very old cat pooping & picking all over. Very junky & appears to be a horder. Carpets were very dirty & stained. Food just ok but did worry about cleanliness due to animals in & out of kitchen & food handler petting them then cooking.
Cons: See above comments
Pros: Comfortable queen size bed and delicious breakfast.
Pros: Breakfasts were great, and nice breeze through the front window.
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Very helpful host. Amazing to stay on a film set.
Pros: Friendly welcome and atmosphere. Character property that was used in the Indiana Jones & the Last crusade film. Excellent home cooked breakfasts. Made to feel at home and could make drinks when we wanted. Friendly pets. Comfortable bed.
Located in Antonito, Narrow Gauge Railroad Inn is within a 15-minute walk of Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad and Manassa Town Hall. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We knew this hotel was very basic but it was very clean. Everything worked. Breakfast adequate. For cost we are satisfied. Best was friendly helpful service of new management at the hotel. We wish them well in their new endeavor!
Pros: Within walking distance of place I wanted to see
Cons: Very plain inside. No color or pictures on wall. Toilet ran off and on all the time. I told the front desk who told me that the manager was sick and may or may not come to look at it. It bothered the next door neighbor more than us and the manager never came.
Pros: We stayed there because of its close proximity to the scenic RR we wished to ride.
Cons: nothing. Everything was to our satisfaction.
Pros: Nothing. It is the only place to stay in th area.
Cons: The case of the absent toilet seat. We were wondering if this was an additional cost item. Took the staff over 24 hours to figure out it was missing. The toilet was an elongated bowl, but they replaced it with a round seat. Failed to tighten it up completely. It slid and slipped around & almost fell in and sank to China. If you like dogs this is your place. Lots of different breeds staying there.
Pros: Praise for the friendly woman who waited for our very late arrival, and could not have been more efficient and welcoming!
Pros: Clean unit and very friendly staff.
Cons: Analog TV screen.
Pros: Location was great for the train. The motel sits far enough off the road to minimize traffic noise. Great views of the mountains
Cons: Older motel just needs some upgrades to breakfast and the rooms
Pros: Liked that it was close to the train.
Cons: There was no hair dryer, or even electrical sockets in bathroom area to plug things in. Minor things like clock or phone (which really don't need as most everyone has cell phones were also missing.
Pros: Location perfect to ride the narrow gauge railroad. Motel is very original 1970's, plain, small rooms, not a bit fancy. But good value for the money. And there are not a lot of options in Antonito.
Pros: ABSOLUTELY DIDNT LIKE NOTHING! Had NO Choice but to stay. Only have 3 hotels in town. This was supposed to be the "Best" of the 3.. Embarrassing, wouldn't recommend to anyone
Cons: Too Pricey for a run down unit and facility as a Whole (way below standards), Too many things broken or unable to use. Poor accommodations, continental breakfast was packaged sweet rolls and coffee. The facility was very out dated, blinds broken, linen had stains, tub leaked, tv was small and poor reception, smoke alarm sat on top of the tv. No in room phone for front desk help. Out dated key entry system. Air conditioning unit was above the bed. Beds were size (double). No ice, soda machine broken, microwave in office for use. Hotel looks like the "BATES" hotel from the outside and very outdated on the inside. Had no choice to exchange rooms, (fully booked) Pay before you stay rule (no exception) no discount or refund offered due to these conditions. The place needs to be totally renovated
Pros: Manager is working hard to make things better.
Pros: Breakfast not an issue for me. Clean, neat, nice staff. Comfortable bed. Handy to train ride next morning. Good value.
With a stay at Steam Train Hotel in Antonito, you'll be a 1-minute walk from Manassa Town Hall and 7 minutes by foot from Antonito Town Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast prepared on our schedule, not just sitting for hours. Fantastic staff, very relaxing.
Pros: breakfast was good.nice people
Pros: Good room and bed. Location near the best restaurants. You immediately feel welcome and the manager cooks a wonderful breakfast. Very safe and can walk to all nearby attractions.
Cons: If you are physically limited, there is no elevator and all rooms are upstairs.
Pros: It was a cute little hotel. Felt like we went back in time. It was close to the train ride we were going on. We would definitely stay there again!!
Pros: Close to Cambres and Toltec Scenic Railroad.
Cons: A bit too hot despite working air conditioner.
Cons: It was no light in the bathroom
Pros: LOCATION WAS GREAT FOR WHAT I NEEDED.
Cons: ROOM WAS NEAT BUT NOT NECESSARILY CLEAN. AIR CONDITIONING WAS NOT VERY GOOD EITHER. HARD TO GET IN TOUCH WITH SOMEONE TO HELP US AND WAS CHARGED TWICE, DAILY FEE OF 140.00 PLUS AGREED PRICES OF 128.18 AND HAVE YET TO BE ABLE TO GET SOME TO TAKE CARE OF THIS. WHEN I ORIGINALLY CALLED TO CHECK ON RESERVATION PAUL THE OWNER, SAID BREAKFAST WOULD NOT BE AVAIL DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH SEPTIC BUT THAT HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF US AT RESTAURANT ACROSS THE STREET WHICH WHEN ASKED AT TIME OF CHECK IN HE SAID HE MAY BE ABLE TO GET US A DISCOUNT BUT COULD NOT OFFER MORE. WE HAD A LARGE PARTY OF FAMILY MEMBERS RENT ROOMS THERE AND I SPEAK FOR US ALL NO ONE WAS HAPPY WITH THE STAY THERE AND WERE GLAD IT WAS JUST AN OVERNIGHT OCCASION.
Pros: The location was perfect for going on the train. The renovation of the building, at least the room in which I stayed, was well done. Wade was outgoing, welcoming, helpful.
Cons: The lobby needs to be decluttered. Breakfast needs work - both in presentation and variety. The young staff needs training by a good B&B person.
Pros: The staff was very courteous and friendly. It's quiet. The hotel served our purpose. It's location is great for taking the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad.
Cons: It is way overpriced given the quality. Didn't like that it was by a "recreational" dispensary. The lobby was locked. There is only an outside entrance location in an alley. Dining in Antonito is limited. Bottom line: The hotel and town are trying to make it. The hotel has potential if they upgrade the rooms.
Pros: We liked the breakfast. We liked the furniture in the room. There was enough hot water for a long shower (a plus in my book!). The room was an adequate size and the bed was nice. After we asked, an incorrect charge to our credit card was handled correctly.
Cons: There was no place to put luggage and no hangers. The shower leaked. The front clerk didn't make room charges to the card we wanted her to use, and she double charged our card for our friend's room. Then she said that our friend could just pay us back. Our friend asked the clerk to correct the charge. And we're not sure everything was fixed correctly. It should be noted that the rooms are on a second floor that can only be reached by a tall, outdoors staircase.
Pros: Actually, there was nothing liked about the location.
Cons: The room was not clean. There were no drinking glasses, no coffee cups, the trash bins had items from the previous guests and the bed was not freshly made.
