With a stay at Dar Ben-Gacem, you'll be centrally located in Tunis, within a 5-minute drive of Habib Bourguiba Avenue and Carrefour Market. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
Pros: It has a lot of character. The place was just magical and the rooms are decorated with a lot of taste. Traditional architecture with a modern twist. The perfect place to experience the real Tunisian feel. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: The room was clean, however it had a weird dusty smell.
Pros: Friendly, perfect breakfest in the patio. Room was ok, clean. Real Tunisian feeling.
Cons: The location - like any other in the medina - cannot be accessed by car. Its not their fault, but must be aware of.
Pros: This is a unique property in the medina of Tunis. It truly gives you the flavor of the local culture. The staff was exceptionally polite and helpful. The decor was completely authentic. The rooftop relaxation area was a great trip to days of long ago.
Cons: The stairs were hard on 75 year-old knees, but l would do it again!
Pros: Dar Ben Gacem was this wonderful, exotic hotel in the heart of the Medina, transformed from an old house with central courtyard, surrounded by rooms overlooking the courtyard on three levels. Quiet with a rooftop sitting area and patio overlooking the Medina, we could not have had a better stay. A delicious breakfast was served each morning and dinner could be arranged if desired. The staff was warm, accommodating, and very helpful setting up taxis, arranging extra activities such as tours of the Medina or classes in bookbinding (very special!) or even Arabic calligraphy and Tunisian cooking classes. This is a very special place that will not disappoint you. We never felt unsafe in the Medina, even at night when the souks (shops) closed down.
Cons: Be prepared for trash and plastic bags floating around everywhere in Tunisia and traffic that doesn't necessarily stop for you, requiring you to learn the art of weaving in and around cars. Other than Arabic, French is the predominant language in Tunisia, with English being scarce, but you will get by because everyone is so friendly and helpful.
Pros: Very clean excellent breakfast and very friendly staff We were accommodated for some minor inconvenience The Manager Ahmed was sincere and honest and very accommodating
Pros: Location and atmosphere in the Medina. An old house made into a charming hotel.
Cons: Difficult to access unless driver knows exactly where it is. Bathroom needed updating
Pros: Perfect location inside the medina close to the market. The property is beautifully maintained and the hosts are very helpful!
Pros: This is a beautiful Dar (b&b) in the medina. It is gorgeous - so beautifully decorated and the building was fascinating. I would definitely recommend staying here over a standard hotel. You will love the experience.
With a stay at El Patio Courtyard House, you'll be centrally located in Tunis, within a 5-minute drive of Habib Bourguiba Avenue and Carrefour Market. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A shuttle from the airport to the hotel is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
Pros: Very beautiful oasis of calm within the busy Medina streets. Friendly hosts, large rooms with Tunesian decor.
Cons: Taxis normally do not enter the Medina, so that you have to carry your luggage a bit. But the host sent this information prior to arrival, so it was not a problem for me. Besides, it is only a 5mins walk until the next exit/Boulevard.
Pros: I like everything
Pros: Beautiful! Great place to stay in the Medina. Helpful staff.
Cons: We stayed mid November and it was unseasonably cold and the room was freezing. The radiators weren’t turned on for the winter yet.
Pros: Lovely hotel, the courtyard felt really traditional. Room was great! Tea and coffee provided, and when we asked for milk, we were given a big cup. Breakfast was super- made fresh in front of us! We didnt have dinner at the hotel as we felt it was a bit pricey compared to other places around. Friendly staff (we dis our best to talk in French) and one lady spoke English. Fantastic location, could walk to mosque, medina, see lots of the cute old town around.
Cons: Little confusing to find, but we were ok with Google maps. Could be a bit scary at night, as not all well lit.
Pros: I would recommend this guest house to anyone, the room was vey clean, the receptionist Sabrina is so friendly and very helpful! The owner of the house she made me feel like I’m home they took care of me my whole stay! The location is perfect, everything is near you! The house it self is a piece of art, full of old fashioned, traditional decor! I would love to come again! Big thanks to mama Zohra, Sabrina & khaoula ♥️
Cons: Nothing :)
Pros: Nice comfy, AC, old place with amazing decoration, thanks to Aunt Zahrah made feel like home
Cons: It’s hard to get here at night, You have to walk in this scary allies , I would recommend come back early before dark

Featured amenities include multilingual staff, laundry facilities, and a library. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Absolutely beautiful, tranquil, great setting, right on beach, great location, breakfast wonderful, loads of bathrooms, balconies amazing, views incredible. Quiet and peaceful. Tastefully decorated. Loved it all
Cons: I can't think of anything at all that I didn't like. It was totally amazing
Pros: The location and property itself are amazing. Right on the beach, and a short walk to the main road or to the light rail stop, so it's easy to get to the sights in Carthage and to Sidi Bou Said. Facilities were nice, there was a communal kitchen to use. Pool and garden were nice as well. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Check-in/arrival time seemed more flexible than it is, and the doorbell doesn't seem to work very well. The wifi didn't work well while we were there, but it appears we were subjected to unlucky timing more than any fault of the owner.
Pros: I loved staying at Dar El Maa. It's beautifully designed, located right on the beach and with easy access to both downtown Tunis and Sidi Bousaid/ La Marsa, its owners are welcoming and easy-going, the pool is awesome, and there's even a very cute and quiet dog.
Pros: Breakfast is great and quantities more than enough. Nice location by the gulf.
Cons: Road in this part of the city are not well maintained. Need to watch where you put your foot.
Pros: Felt like home. They were really kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Breathtaking views from the room and from the terrace! About location, close to ancient monuments and Sidi Bou Said. 100% Recommendable!
Pros: Loved the location and the hosts were AMAZING
Cons: Bathrooms were a little old, but this wasn’t a big deal for me
Carmela in Ariana provides adults-only accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a garden and barbecue facilities. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. At the guest house guests are welcome to take advantage of a hot tub. Around-the-clock guidance is available at the reception, where staff speak Arabic, English and French. Tunis is 15 km from Carmela, while Gammarth is 10 km away. The nearest airport is Tunis Airport, 11 km from the accommodation.
Pros: Carmela! She went out of her way to make me feel welcomed and was a font of information. She is also reasonably close to the airpor, especially if there is no traffic contesting the road. I particularly enjoyed the “Brekkie in bed” at such an early hour (05:45) due to my flight time.
Cons: Location was a challenge for my cabbie. The essential key is to have phone connection for precise instructions, and to turn at the big orange box onto the dead-end road!
Pros: Do not expect a 5 stars hotel. But mss. owner makes it right. Good price/quality. Take a taxi, its for free.
Pros: Everything was good
Cons: Little bit far away
Pros: The hostess stayed up to receive me when my flight came in late and guide my taxi driver by phone when he was lost. It helped a lot that she spoke English.
Cons: Everything is good
Pros: The lady was nice and welcoming. Not far from the main road and easily managed to get a taxi at 6:00am in Sunday. Carrefour express was few minutes walking distance and there was a passteri just next to it.
Cons: Room was little small. Unfortunately the internet didn't work but to be fair I haven't informed the renter. I haven't checked the area well, but initial impression is rural.
Pros: Small, clean room perfect for short stays. Check-in was comfortable, the host is very friendly. Good value for money.
Pros: The area is very quit and calm great garden view
Pros: We had a spacious room in a relatively quiet location but the call to prayer woke us up in the middle of the night. If we had been able to stay longer, we could have enjoyed the nice pool. And it was very helpful that the hosts picked us up at the airport after a 4 hour delay of our flight. Thanks!
Cons: The heat activator was not to be found so we were quite cold during the night. The bed was a little too hard for us but others might like this.
Pros: Nice house in a special area. Sweet apartment with all what you need for few days. Helpful guests service - we found few roses in our room. Thanks.
Cons: The smell wasn’t perfect and the WiFi didn’t works.

Pros: The place is in the middle of the Medina which gives you a LOCAL EXPERIENCE!The decoration is traditional and beautiful, rooms clean and comfy, everything feels like home! The staff is super kind and helpful, always with a smile! Bravo! I highly recommend this place!
Pros: Staff was very friendly, they helped us with all the questions we had. The hotel itself is set in a beautiful traditional house, which make you feel you are far away from the city. The rooms are spacious and have comfortable beds.
Cons: At night it was not always pleasant to walk through the dark alleys of the Medina. However, the main road is really near.
Pros: The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The hotel was in a perfect location and was a beautiful property.
Cons: Hotel was hard to find. A sign on the main street would be helpful.
Pros: I had an excellent experience at Dar traki! The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful. They assisted with everything I needed help with. They were very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend staying at this property for your visit to Tunis!
When you stay at Dar El Yasmine in La Soukra, you'll be in the suburbs, within a 10-minute drive of La Marsa Beach and La Goulette Beach. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage.
Pros: An absolutely delightful place to stay! A whole suite with fully fitted kitchen. A lovely pool surrounded by flowers and plants. An enchanting garden/patio where you can enjoy a superb full breakfast that includes home-made cakes, biscuits and yoghurt. The hosts are exceptional in many ways and I am personally indebted to them for offering me such kind assistance in dealing with a medical issue. This beautiful guest house and garden went far beyond my expectations. Both Helene and Mohammed are the perfect hosts and should take pride in their efforts to expand and improve the facilities to a 5-star standard, to be inaugurated in the near future. I will most certainly return.
Pros: The house garden, it was amazing!
Pros: We had a comfortable one-week stay in this family run guesthouse, which offers affordable accommodation in Tunis. The guest house is in the process of upgrading its premises with several new rooms with beautiful furniture and views, which will make it an even better option to stay at. The best thing about this guesthouse are however its owners Helene and Mohamed who make an extra effort to make their guests feel at home.
Pros: The style of the accommodation is inspired by Andalusian mosaics and the blues and whites of Sidi Bou Said. Family run and professional joint. Had an excellent time getting insider tips from them. Loved it.
Cons: The Wi-Fi was poor.
Pros: Calm, green, pool, flowers, bird, stylish andalusian architecture, space to relax or work without being bothered.
Cons: The friendly, warm, helpful welcome by the owners, Mohamed and Helene made all the difference to just a simple accommodation. I felt at home - with myself, with the city, with them.

The bed and breakfast is 9 km from Belvedre Parc, 10.4 km from Habib Bourguiba Avenue and 11.3 km from Medina. Tunis Airport is 5 km away.
Pros: Rooms and bathrooms were very clean!
Cons: The location is not good if you don't have a car.
Pros: It was very clean
Cons: The location, it's a bit far from the main roads. You need to have a car or an appointment with a taxi driver to pick you up. The breakfast, starts at 8:00, so if you need to speak to the owner to prepare something for you if you are leaving before 8 am
Pros: It was tidy, clean, amazing women who is responsible for the house, nice garden, its an amazing place for chilling
Cons: Nothing actually
Pros: it was nice trip and kind hospitality from the owners , so recommend it.
Cons: the location has poor public transport, you should rent a car or ask for a taxi.
Pros: Its a bedroom in a villa which is a really nice one , extremely well decorated and maintained, the staff are very nice as well Fairly close to the airport
Cons: There are few minor notes that I didn’t see in the reviews and you need to keep in mind The villa is located in line with one of the airpor runways so expect to have frequent airplanes flying over thr house on a low level The location is somehow far from the main street so expect the taxi to be unhappy with the road... use Bolt application for better fares The right sided room on the upper floor had frequent wifi disconnects which can be improved with a wifi support device
Pros: Very good place i feel like home Close to the airport about the race you can use app BOLT tunis Very clean
Located in Sidi Bou Said, Dar Fatma is within a 10-minute drive of St. Louis Cathedral and Carthage Museum. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage.
Pros: Very nice staff , gentle and kind. The location is also very good, easy access. Breakfast is also good served at the table with plenty of delicious options.
Cons: Our room was close to the main entrance what we heard some noise during the night, when new guests arrived. Nothing serious or annoying, it is just a remark.
Pros: Fantastic location near the lighthouse in beautiful Sidi Boussaid. We had a nice room overlooking the fishermen cemetery and the sea. Breakfast was good and varied. The rooftop is amazing.
Cons: We had no light in the toilets for two days. Not ideal... The bathroom was tiny and there is nowhere to put your toiletries. The little tub on the rooftop is more a pigeon pool than one for humans; so didn't feel like trying it.
Pros: It is a very authentic hotel,if you want a real adventure feeling local atmosphere and culture, this venue is great choice With fantastic panoramic view, nice breakfast and very friendly personnel
Pros: It was exactly as described, nice and simple accommodation, scrupulously clean. Staff were brilliant, couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable.
Cons: Be aware this property is at the top of a hill that will be testing for those less mobile
Pros: Location is very good
Cons: Hot water is limited
Pros: Calm and beautiful place with nice and helpful staff.
Pros: The authentic feel of an Arabian courtyard house was obvious. The place is run by a family and the ladies are lovely. The room with our view is lovely - we stayed in Mouna and so we had a window with a tree and the med sea. However, any of the other rooms would only have a view of the graveyard or no window at all if on the ground floor.
Cons: They advertised as having a pool. There is not a pool. It is a small area with water where you could sit and be submerged from knee down for two persons max. The “pool” was not cleaned with bird poop everywhere.
Pros: This is an interesting authentic house with nice roof terrace, but the basin pool is very very small. The house is located almost in the center - the room is very small but cosy. The staff is very friendly but almost do not speek English - only French
Cons: Location is by the cemetery (( This house is not so easy to find and to get in ))
Pros: Lovely rooftop swimming pool, good WiFi
Cons: We paid 120 per night for three nights, with views of the graveyard (!) where a fresh grave was being dug on one of the mornings. Family of ours rented a 5 bedroom, stunningly decorated house, literally next door with indoor people and beach theme throughout for 1000 euro's for the whole week. I feel like we've been shafted with the price we paid and what we got in return
With a stay at Marigold Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Tunis, within a 5-minute drive of Carrefour Market and Habib Bourguiba Avenue. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Large room, instant WiFi, excellent breakfast, (with lots of variety of fresh and local produce. But surprising to pay extra for an expresso coffee), very courteous cleaning lady.
Cons: 1. Obligation to pay for the rooms on arrival. I later discovered one room was half the size than had been booked. It took a lot of (wasted) time to get the refund and requests to different staff to see the manager were refused. 2. No wine (not even alcohol free beer) was available with the meal. I suggest this should be Indicated to potential guests when they are considering booking into this particular 4 star hotel.
Pros: the breakfast is very normal should be more good ,the location is good
Pros: The clean facilities and rooms
Cons: There is short of restaurants around the hotel
Pros: The staff were very friendly and the room was very big and comfortable.
Pros: Everything except the view. ... no worries. .just had the best sleep in weeks. Fabulous bed and soft pillows. Very clean. 2 TVs in our suite. ..great shower. .. highly recommend.
Cons: No view but for an overnight stay it's perfect. Lovely hotel. We got an upgrade to a suite without asking. ....near late restaurants which was very handy as we had a 3 hour flight delay. Very clean, new and the most important for me. ...a really comfortable bed with extra pillows. Fabulous. Highly recommend. Who cares about the view when you just need to rest and sleep? Good value for money and a great late check out rate. So. ..back to resting until 16.00. Great!
Pros: Very nice and attentive staff, clean hotel
Cons: Someone has to show their authority and unfortunately it worked poorly for us as a guest with the manager of the cleaning staff
Pros: Great helpful staff, clean big rooms, good food too.
Cons: Empty minibar and no alcohol served whilst there is no mini market nearby in the afternoon.
With a stay at Palais Bayram in Tunis (Medina of Tunis), you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Habib Bourguiba Avenue and Carrefour Market. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
Pros: Really nice palace in the heart of the Medina, wonderful and comfortable room. Good and clean bathroom. Nice breakfast. Private hammam (not included) was nice too.
Cons: Wifi connection was poor, no mobile phone service in the room.
Pros: very nice histirical building. Worth to stay there
Pros: A nice breakfast served at the table. View to a wonderful patio. Very calm and beautiful. Whole palais is fully restored and represents the oriental beauty of ancient times. Incredible. You will find f.e. such tiles only in museums. Here you live in it.
Pros: The location and breakfast was excellent so was the service. The staff very friendly and polite
Cons: The bedding was not comfortable
Pros: I had an excellent stay here! The building and the room were really beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is in a neat location in the medina, which was fun to explore. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and kind, and I felt very safe and taken care of. I took a couple of day trips with their help as well.
With a stay at Hôtel Belvédère Fourati, you'll be centrally located in Tunis, within a 5-minute drive of Carrefour Market and Habib Bourguiba Avenue. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff was very helpful, specially Ms. Mohamed in the reception. others were very nice with us too.
Cons: Breakfast is below the expectation, it will be nice to have this improved.
Pros: The staff are truly amazing - go over and above like going out to a pharmacist to get medicine, like printing loads of paperwork, like greeting you with a smile and being very attentive. Special mention to Farhati Mohamed
Cons: Not a great breakfast for a Brit
Pros: Very nice hotel, nice room, comfortable bed, clean
Cons: Bed sheets and pillow cases were not very clean, old used for long time
Pros: The furniture and the lighting of the rooms are very comfortable and the staff are so friendly and helpful the breakfast and the dinner was very good too
Cons: The entrance hall is small but it's not that bad
With a stay at Hotel Carlton, you'll be centrally located in Tunis, steps from Habib Bourguiba Avenue and within a 5-minute walk of National Theatre of Tunisia. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge during limited hours, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: I use the Carlton regularly, both for myself and when booking for my colleagues. It's consistently reliable for hospitality, professionalism, comfort and cleanliness. Location right in the middle of town is perfect for business and also for access to restaurants in the evenings.
Pros: It is heart of Tunisia. You can walk to Medina, to local shops and biggest mosque. The only problem is sallesmen. They are giving high price, you have to make discount. It is safe city, very traditional. Hotel is on the main street and there are many cafés near to hotel. A big shoping mall is back of hotel. Be carefull with taxi drivers. Driver wanted to take 40 dinars from airport to hotel. But from hotel to airport we paid 7 dinars. Hotel offers you transport. But it is 20 dinars for each person. We rent a taxi to see around. Driver said 160 dinars for 5 hours. Finally we paid 60 dinars. It is worth to visit Tunisia and it is a good choice to stay this hotel
Cons: gave me a very small room although i'm a regular. and they just didnt bother to do something about it .
Pros: Everything was excellent, i like the room, locations and the whole your kind staff.
Cons: the restaurant was too small and i didn't like the variety of food.
Pros: A clean room with breakfast included in the center of Tunis nightlife for US$45/night seemed too good too be true but it was. The rooms were comfortable and newly modernized and the breakfast was much better than the standard.
Cons: The staff aren't as knowledgeable and helpful as you'd expect in an international hotel. Best to have a plan B when making requests.
Cons: No bar no refrigater
Pros: Location is amazing. It is in the center of the center. Close to medina. lot of restaurants around. 2 minutes walk from Monoprix (supermarket). Very clean hotel. Friendly staff. Very good Tunisian breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Nothing, everything was great
Pros: Location was great and ideal.
Cons: Had to take two elevators to get to my room due to elevator repairs.
Pros: Brilliant stuff good location and very clean

Pros: Everything, excellent place, in great location, massice room, comfortable beds too, breakfast included is great an way better than anyother place that provided breakfast included, the guys that work here are very friendly am go above an beyond to help you, an show you directions, i would recommend that if your in tunis, if you stay here, you wont be disappointed, the most important thing is, the clear an fast communication, they responded to my emails in quick time, an awnserd my questions, also provided me with a taxi from the airport an back, absolutely hassle free, im definitely coming back here,
Cons: Nothing, all is perfect
Pros: It is a perfect place to stay in Tunis. The location is great, the property very beautiful, clean, and neat, and the staff is very friendly. They even welcomed me with Tunisian sweets.
Cons: Just like everywhere in Tunisia, the wifi does not work in rooms but just in the common areas, so that is the only inconvenience.
Pros: Amazing place inside Medina, clean rooms and such an amazing staff. One of our girlfriends got sick and Youssef (at reception) and the rest of the staff helped us finding medical support and made us feel at home. They looked after our friend and us above and beyond any expectations and we can only thank them for their service . We are grateful and will remember Dar Ya in our hearts. The terrace is a must !
Cons: Nothing! It is a 100% recommended experience.
Pros: It’s so well located in the medina (old town), incredibly good value for money, amazingly friendly and helpful staff, all in a beautiful traditional house’
Pros: Really great value for money. Clean rooms, a simple but nice breakfast and beautiful historic place to enjoy. Bonus: there is a rooftop area for your evening stargazing or morning yoga!
Cons: Can be a bit noisy if guests arrive late. Earplugs help.
Cons: I booked a large Family room , and they put me in a small room with no air conditioning, after a long negotiating with the staff, i got a room with air conditioning but very small without wifi and only 3 beds for 5 people, and they refused to reduce the rate for 3beds room and charged me for 6 beds large family room which i didn't get.
Pros: Loved it
Cons: It was great!
Cons: bathroom and shower overall cleanliness could be improved
A stay at Hôtel Royal Victoria places you in the heart of Tunis, within a 5-minute drive of French Embassy and Carrefour Market. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Service is good
Cons: Heating was missing at the beginning, I hope they will improve
Pros: Next to the medina. Within walking distance from Tunis Sud bus station and the train station, plenty of restaurants and cafés in the area. Great view from the balcony over the city. Excellent breakfast (lots of salads and fruit, all fresh and delicious).
Pros: It is a new built, very beautiful. Good location to visit most of the historical sites of Tunisia.
Cons: They don't have an iron, soy have to send it to me ironed. It was quite pricey and they did an awful job, one of my dressed was ruined, and the other one, I had to send it to be ironed a second time because it came back even more creased than when I sent it the first time. The water on the shower it comes hot and cold at times, so having a shower it's like a continuous surprise. Breakfast it's awful. The only things that was nice was the smoothies and pomegranate, so that was our breakfast for 2 days. Plug they never change the table towels so you're eating on top of dirty cloths from other people. They decided to paint the elevator at 10 am one of the morning so you weren't allowed to use it. Furniture was very bad quality so our wardrobe was falling apart.
Pros: I loved everything about this place. The location is magnificent. It’s on the edge of the old Medina and where it meets the new city center. It’s on a plaza with lots of life happening around. My room looked out over the plaza and had two small balconies. The bed was very comfortable and everything was exceedingly clean. The staff could not be more helpful! They are kind and incredibly helpful. They answered all my questions, got me a great taxi driver for two day trips, and generally watched my back. It’s great for a solo traveler who travels on a budget to feel truly looked after and not have to spend $500 a night.
Pros: Historic Hotel. Ambiance was good. Great location. Friendly staff.
Cons: Rooms were very small
Pros: Perfectly located at the start of Medina, and dazzling with fancy get up and period decorations, its a definitely an eye catcher. The staff is very friendly, even took me to the terrace for a nice view of the surroundings. The view overlooking the Medina from my 3rd floor balcony made my stay extra special. The breakfast was reasonably exhaustive, with a bunch of hot and cold dishes.
Cons: Some parts showed the effect of time, like the shower refused to stay put at one place, and one plug point almost came loose. But none was a deal breaker!
Pros: Outstanding location, right on Place de la Victoire, next to the entrance to the Medina and about 10-15 walk from the light rail to Carthage and Sidi Bou Said, the main rail road station is 10 min walk which you can use to visit El Jemm. The hotel decor is beautiful and the staff was pretty friendly and accommodating, I had a small inconvenience with my room shower and space and I liked their willingness to change my room, and fix the shower, they treated me like a king during my stay. Good Wifi and Breakfast. The beds were super comfortable.
Cons: I'm not sure if it's the hotel or booking.com, but the "what's included section" of the hotel needs to be updated as it can be misleading. Example not all deluxe rooms have balconies with dining tables as per the description.
Pros: The location so close to the old median and souq and Habib Bourguiba boulevard, very good breakfast with varieties of food, comfortable room decorated in Arabic style
Pros: Unlike other reviewers, we loved the breakfast. It's a nice variety of Tunisian food and since we love eating vegetables/salads for breakfast, it was perfect. They will also make omelets to your specification. If you are into continental breakfast, maybe not as interesting (coffee was horrible). Location is near the Medina and lots of restaurants and cafes. Very good internet connection. The staff really did try hard to make it better for us after the bug issue and the chemical product issue so I give them credit for that.
Cons: The constant smell of cigarette smoke in our room, no kettle to boil water in our room, bathrooms could most definitely use an updating. When we reported a huge black bug in our room, they promptly took care of it while we were at breakfast. When we came back, the smell of chemical product was so overwhelming, we had to change rooms. They assured us it was cleaning product, not insecticide but still, my daughter could not even stay in the room to pack her suitcase as she is very sensitive to chemical products. We had paid for six nights but we left after four nights as we could not stand the place anymore after they had again used the same strong cleaning product in the new room we had been moved to. They offered a credit for a future stay but we would never go back.
