Pros: I was alone guest and that was really comfortable for me. I relaxed so much. The house was really clean and quiet, its location was perfect too.
Cons: It was a bit cold and the house was old. But it was totally acceptable level.
Pros: Feel like home :D
Cons: Sometimes difficult to contact the owner but he is nice. The A/C didn't work (but maybe because we travel in May) and the window is difficult to open, sometimes annoying from mosquitoes.
Pros: Lovely cute guesthouse with very traditional Japanese feel to it. The futon felt great and I slept really well! The owner also gave good tips about the area and even taught me some Japanese. Would definitely come again
Cons: The shower had mold in it and didn't feel very clean. But it was a good warm shower.
Pros: Proximity to the railway station. Adequate tea and coffee provided and hot shower albeit not too private.
Cons: The noise at night from other guests tramping past our room to the toilet, rattling windows and the wailing cat all made for a disturbed night’s sleep. The handtowels in place of bath towels were inadequate and the rice cooker for a kettle was also poor.
Pros: The host and his wife were very kind and helpful. The room which we stayed was a big tatami room and we felt relaxed and comfortable. The house is near the Arita Station and access to every sightseeing sports is very easily. We are delighted to see the real owner of the guesthouse(a Cat) who is sometimes there to control if everything okay
Pros: The big bookcase in my room full of manga and other books was awesome. Also I really appreciated that owner let me go in after check in hours and came later to welcome me.
Pros: The rooms on the first floor can be connected by moving the door in between. It's good when you travelled with friends. Very nice common area with lots of books and comics. Bathroom was clean.
Cons: My partner got many rash on skin which directly contacted to the blanket and futon during the sleep. It was like bed buds bitting him over the night.
Pros: Hanneke was super nice. She gave us a ride to kild we had reservation for treasure hunting, AND even picked up the pottery stuffs for us. Her house is not only nice and clean but also spacious (compared to all of the places we have ever stayed in japan). The location isn’t near Arita station but near Kami-Arita, where you can find higher quality of pottery. I would definite come back.
Pros: Hanneke was very welcoming and helpful
Pros: The host has a lot of insight about Arita and Japanese culture, especially in porcelain and its experience in the area. This helped us so much further discovering the surroundings. Our stay was unforgettably good. Highly recommended.
Pros: Beautiful Japanese house filled with light. The location is perfect for porcelain shopping! Most of all the host Hanneke is very lively and helpful with everything. You feel welcome from the moment you enter her home.
Pros: Nice bed and large room, the stand out was our host. Hanneke went above and beyond, she recommended kilns close by and even took us out to the quarry as we were on foot, made out stay unforgettable
Pros: The place was great. We felt at home ftom the first moment. The ouner was warm and did so much for us. She took us on her free time for a very interesting tour in one of the porcelan factories. At the end she dropped us at the train station. Rachel& Zvi
