clean new hotel with stunning views and very friendly staff; the reception staff speaks either english or german as a foreign language; Arrive early to enjoy the afternoon sun on the terrace looking at the great mountain scenery! only buffet breakfast is offered
View and location Service was rather cold and off hand not what i expect at that level of hotel. Also Spa and pool were closed which i was not made aware off when booking so as a family very disappointed!
The view from the room, the balcony furniture with fleecy rugs for sitting above the clouds was amazing after a day of driving the zig zag roads. the cafe/restaraunt staff were very helpfull and attentive to the kids, and the standard of food excelent. The swiming pool shown in the photo's is not available unless you use the spa which is out of bounds for kids at all times. I had read reviews about it being closed so checked on paradors website, trip advisor and hotels website and there was no mention of this. This was the main reason we had booked.
Excellent location for walks in the mountains and visiting the interior of Gran Canaria.
Fantastic iews from our room and balcony. Staff not very friendly. No lighting for inside the wardrobe/lobby.
The location of the Parador up in the mountains is excellent with stunning views from the bedrooms (Mount Teide on Tenerife can be seen on a clear day). The bedroom accommodation, lounges, & main areas are of the usual high standard found in Paradors (this one has only recently been opened/renovated). We thought the price of the Spa/indoor pool etc at over 30 euros each person was excessive otherwise we would have used it more. It's a pity there is no outdoor pool.
The view from the balcony towards the setting sun was beautiful. The hotel offered what they promised in this regard. It was quite expensive.
This parador is located in the centre of the island with magnificent views of the mountains and easy access to walks and the very special Roque Nublo. I was amazed to get a twin room for 60 euros. Breakfast was extra at 15 euros each but very special. There could not be anything to dislike at this hotel.
the view from our room was breathtaking, the ambiance was relaxing, and the food was fantastic.
i liked almost everything there. Nice atmosphere, good garden, breathetaking view on the mountains, nice stuff. -
Good food and friendly staff. Good base for walking Did not like the open plan bathroom-I like toilets to have a door! Also the room was small and smelt of food, and there was nowhere to sit comfortably, apart from the bed
Tranquility Booking.com information stated things that were not there, ie., solarium, massage, jacuzzi, business centre, laudnry & ironing.
Good location for walking. Attractive comfortable rooms. Other guests very nice. Disappointing food
Good location for walks in central Gran Canaria. Probably one of the better hotels in that area. Lack of heating, especially in bath room. Only 2 quality restaurants in Tejeda, and open only from 20:00 to 21:30.
The Location, The Individuality, The general comfort. The friendly helpfulness of the staff.. Cold breakfast room was a nuisance, Local amenities in Tejeda for late eating were very restrictive. This would not stop us visiting again, we would plan our days differently.
Great location and view, very friendly and helpful staff, god facilities, good breakfast (but remember to bring warm clothes for cool mornings). Possibility to have earlier breakfast, and perhaps more varied selection of bread.
Lovely hotel well situated to walk up Roque Nublo. Has a nice common room, but unheated and locked in the evening (Feb.'09) No heating, everyone seemed to wear coats for breakfast, no restaurant or bar open. All restaurants in the village close before 9:00pm if you can get them to serve you. I like a quiet life, but what happens here after 20:00. I don't recomend the drive to the village after dark!
The room was cosy. The hotel's staff and all people in Tejeda were very friendly. The mountain views - great.
Splendid, though challenging walking from the door into the amazing Gran Canerian mountains and gorges Eating in the evening is a problem. Though one of the largest central Gran Canarian villages, Tejeda is very quiet even in the 'high season' of mid-February - with wholesome but simple food available from only one (different) cafe per night. But its Almond Festival, when blossom abounds at this time, changes everything - though this year this was spoiled by rain.
