Pros: Breakfast excellent with bacon, egg , croisants etc. Excellent location for Omaha beach area, Secluded private parking.
Cons: No Kettle and tea/coffee facilities in room.
Pros: The property was beautiful, the room very comfortable but the outstanding features here are the people who make you feel like one of the family!
Pros: Wonderful couple that make you feel very much at home!
Pros: Very nice decor and all newly decorated bedrooms. Comfortable beds and a nice breakfast.
Cons: We were asked to sit at a large table with other people at breakfast. No privacy and a bit squashed.
Pros: Excellent breakfast in a very friendly atmosphere. Loved Dinner the previous evening with the hosts. Wish we could have stayed longer but we had a ferry to catch!
Pros: The location was amazing! The owners were very nice and were happy to provide extra towels and glasses to bring to your room if requested.
Cons: I didnt like that they had recently painted the room we were given.. It was very damp and therefore the paint smell was very overwhelming to the point where at night my nose was totally blocked.. We opened the door while we were there in the evening until we went to sleep. We were a family of 4 and stayed two nights.. The breakfast was two fried eggs and round thin ham cooked.. She called that bacon.. ,croissants, yellow cake, a baguette butter and jams. Coffee with milk ( I'm a cream girl) and juice.
Pros: Quiet room and good quality bed. A tip: Don't forget to book your dinner for a pleasant time with the owners. They are adorable and they know how to prepare very good regional dishes.
Pros: Location, Staff, Breakfast.
Cons: Low level shower head
Pros: Friendly host. Location to the Normandy coast was great.
Located in Saonnet, La Part des Anges is a 5-minute drive from Mine Museum and 7 minutes from Milling Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very Nice atmosphere. Nice hosts!
Cons: Perhaps a sale of Colas drinks on site
Pros: Lovely place with a very kind owner. We stayed in a very large room, super clean and with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is basic but very good! We did not use the pool but it does add value. Not sure if this is a pro or a con - but there's no tv nor wifi internet (due to the nature of the building) which we did not mind at all - we thought this was really the best way to unwind :)
Pros: More a family suite than a family room. The arrangement of having a private hallway between our room and the kids' room (with a bathroom in between) was great. Owners were very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Beautiful grounds and garden, and a great and warm indoor pool. Not too far to Bayeux with lots of restaurant options (though you may need to book ahead).
Cons: The toilet is too close to the sink. The bathroom needs more towel rails, especially as there are pool towels to hang up. Limited restaurant options close to the B&B, though that is not a criticism.
Pros: It had a beautiful swimming pool and hot tub and sauna. We did not use them because we were there for D-Day celebrations. Very quiet and clean.
Cons: Studio consists of kitchen, small table, bathroom and loft bedroom. Nowhere to sit but metal chairs or upstairs on bed. Treacherous stairs. Open staircase with railing only against the wall, so open on other side. Listing says there is Wi-Fi. When we asked the owner if she could help us with it, she said no, there isn't any. Cell phone reception was bad, so basically we were without communication for most of the time. Location was far from everywhere.
Pros: Nice welcome and very relaxing atmosphere.
Pros: Lovely owners, very helpfull, well kept, pool, stylish rooms
Pros: The owners were very welcoming and lovely. The site is stunning and so peaceful. No photo can do it justice.
Pros: Beautiful place, we did have two rooms apartment for our 4 person family (so lot of space), lovely pool also in a bit colder weather, excellent breakfast. Very warm and friendly couple who was keeping the place, you feel very welcome. You needed to go out for dinner, but there was couple of lovely places whit in short drive. Only minus for us was that they did not speak English and we did not French. But we used google translate and manage well :)
With a stay at Domaine de l'Hostréière in Colleville-sur-Mer, you'll be near the beach, within a 10-minute drive of Omaha Beach and Overlord Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Fantastic location near D Day beaches and Omaha cemetery .
Cons: A bit tired.
Pros: Beautiful grounds and easy parking. Love all the roses and specimen planting. Our unit had nice little terrace for drinks and light meal. Next time we will make this a base location for exploring Normandy beaches. Very close to the beaches, the Omaha Memorial Cemetery, and a large D-Day museum. Go to the memorial and walk the grounds, you can not fail to be impressed and proud of the men who landed In this operation. Museum in the Memorial should not be missed. We saw many folks walking past because they do check bags, leave your bags in the car and go in. I was also largely impressed by the residents in the area who support visitors and make this experience so meaningful. Museums we visited were not dog friendly.
Cons: Wish the restaurant had been open the night we landed.
Pros: Fantastic staff, delicious breakfast, and right next door to the American Cemetery. We will definitely be back.
Pros: Clean, quiet, convenient, close to D-Day beaches, bed and pillow comfortable, kettle in room so could make tea in the morning, free parking, safe.
Cons: Water pressure in shower weak
Pros: Perfect location, very clean. I loved those ducks and rabbits walking around in the garden.
Pros: early check-in and late check-out without problems. sauna included
Cons: creperie at hotel was closed.
Pros: The location and the surrounding villages were AMAZING. The staff was very helpful and the friendliest we came across on our trip. I would highly recommend this location.
Cons: We stayed out of season due to a family members wedding timeframe. $80 plus a night was a little high for that time of year with only a grocery store open two villages to the north.
Pros: Very comfortable triple room with a small garden terrace. The restaurant was closed on Friday evening in June (seems strange) and no other restaurant within walking range. We asked, and the hotel were able to provide beer, wine and meats and cheeses from the breakfast menu to provide a lovely evening meal on our terrace. Very handy for the Overlord Museum across the road, but some way out of the village of Colleville-sur-Mer.
Pros: Very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Check in and wait staff very preoccupied with running restaurant. Pleasant but not welcoming.
Pros: Breakfast was just great
Cons: Restaurant closed to early
Pros: The breakfast.
Cons: No access to internet and onwer response when we ask him the codes! The noise from the other rooms upstairs. No bath towels.
Pros: very good breakfast; lovely hosts
Cons: all went very well
Pros: This is a “new”. B&B in a 17th century farmhouse. The French couple is new to the business and try very hard to please. It’s not perfect yet but we’ll eorth a visit.
Pros: Old building with a lot of history. Nice room with very comfortable bed. Peaceful surroundings. Really nice and friendly host. Good breakfast. We will definitely book it again. Highly recommend this place.
Pros: Eric and Valerie are the perfect hosts. They showed us around the property which is a gorgeous old house that has been beautifully remodeled. Their suggestions for our travel around the area were welcomed and appreciated. The breakfast was SUPERB in every way including the nice chat we had with Eric mainly since he spoke English quite well. The garden and grounds were charming and the location for visiting Normandy and Omaha Beach cannot be beat. You can walk thru the back of their yard to a trail that leads to the bluffs above the beach and there are several old bunkers there.
Cons: The only thing that would have made our stay better is if we had more time to spend with these warm, splendid hosts and I wish I spoke French so I could have chatted with Valerie more.
