10.0 Excellent
Pros: I truly felt like a pampered princess for a night! While exploring Normandy, a girlfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to a night in a chateau. This turned out to be a phenomenal decision. Chateau de Chantore itself is a beautifully restored residence. I felt as if I had stepped back in time as I walked through the halls, explored the sitting room, or lounged in the bedroom. Every space both inside and out is remarkable. The chateau sits on a large piece of land, and even offers a view of Mont St. Michel! There's lakes, horse stables, and walking paths...take a stroll around and enjoy the quiet countryside- you'll most likely have it all to yourself as the chateau only books out a handful of rooms. Bernard, the hotel's owner, is also the most wonderful host you can imagine. The breakfast included in our stay was truly fit for a queen. I would not hesitate to come back here again- it was a one of a kind experience.
Cons: I struggle to find any fault in my stay at the chateau- the only thing I can think of is that the toilet has its own room in a very small space (knees very close to the door kind of small!) so I imagine some people could find this a little difficult!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hosts and their friendly approach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For us it was the hosts that made the experience of staying at the Chateau exceptional. However we would also flag the excellent breakfasts, wonderful decor and exceptional room/bathroom. The position of the Chateau in its own parkland was also an added benefit
Cons: Actually we could not fault anything about our stay. It is difficult to see how our time at the Chateau could have been any better- unless the weather could be controlled!.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was stunning, beautiful rooms decorated in period style. The house was visually perfect both inside and out. Beautiful grounds and so peaceful. Bernard, the host was amazing. NOTHING was too much trouble, amazing restaurant suggestions that he was happy to book, and the breakfast!! Cannot praise Chateau du Chantore highly enough. We will definitely return.
Cons: Nothing, it was exactly what we had hoped for.

Pros: We enjoyed everything. The decor and furnishings are beautiful! The garden/grounds are lovely. A very welcoming stay.
Cons: Perhaps tea/coffee making should be availablein the bedroom, although these are available in the lounge area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the quietness of being in the country and staying in an older home but feeling like our rooms were very up to date! We felt as though we had convenient access to some beautiful sites, including beach towns and Le Mont Saint Michel (30-40 min drive). Breakfast was lovely with plenty to eat. Hospitality was among the best in the business! Our rooms were pristine! I’m very critical when it comes to a clean bed and bath and I couldn’t find anything wrong! We were extremely happy staying and were very thankful for a most amazing host who was very helpful when it came to seeing the sites in the area.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a very good time. The room was clean and good sized. Sonia was very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely - fresh croissants, baguette and crepes. Cheese, butter, jam and orange juice. Coffee was plentiful and tasty. View of Mont St. Michel out the window (looking to the right). We ate dinner at the downstairs outside restaurant run by the family the night we stayed there (not included in the price - we could have eaten anywhere) and really enjoyed the dinner. Prices good, simple and tasty meal.
Cons: My 87 year old mother wasn't able to make the trip. If she had, she would have had a hard time walking up the two flights of stairs to the bedroom (the second one is a bit steep). We (three of us in our 60s) were fine.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very rich! And the host was very nice! She also put a fan in rhe room wich was very helpful because it was very hot outside.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This property was a good location in relation to Mont St. Michel - about a 10 minute drive. The room, including the bathroom, was spacious and completely adequate. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived before the allocated check-in time, but allowed us to leave our items, which was very helpful. Breakfast was fine - nothing special, but OK.
Cons: I really have no complaints - this property is 'as advertised'. Just be aware, this is out in the country and there are some farm animals, so you will be awakened by a rooster early in the morning!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable room in a pleasant hotel close to Mont Saint Michel. Dinner available at the hotel. Very friendly hosts.

The b&b was located with beautiful surroundings so it was a great place to take walks in the evening. Great parking at the b&b. The room was big and comfortable and the private bathroom the same.
Cons: The shower was scolding hot, but maybe we didn’t find where to adjust it. The bed was a bit small for two people, but ok. The breakfast was very French in the way that you didn’t stay full for very long.

Pros: Big room - good location - lovely peaceful garden
Cons: The owner watched over breakfast like a hawk. Unbeknown to us he put 6 of every breakfast item out as there were 6 guests. I took 2 bits of croissant and he made us feel as though I was Jean Valjean and had stolen some bread. He proceeded to tell me that it was for 6 people and took it away in case we had another piece!! We finished our brekkie and left straight away - not a pleasant experience especially as it wasn't cheap

Pros: This place was peaceful and there was a lot of space inside and outside the house. The host Roger and the personal are very nice people who create comfort for guests and share their knowledge of the history. Spacious garden. Large and clean room with comfortable bed and large bathroom. Very tasty and beautifully sleek dinner and breakfast, thank you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place in a small town to unwind. The house & our room are spacious, comfortable, extremely clean and quite pleasant. Definitely welcoming & warmth from Roger and his staff. We took advantage of the house offering for dinner & breakfast -- they were tasty and definitely worth it. Roger knows this area & we benefitted from his experience as we better optimized visits to a few of Bretagne & Normandie historical sites.
7.9 Good
Pros: Why do you travel? ......well there can many reasons! But see and experience thing, you will remember is for me one of the most important. We will never forget La Merveille!! Mostly because of the owner and his staff. A lot of joking.....from subtile play with language to slapstick!!......and in a split second you get serious and useful advises for you day. Finding that balance is not that easy, but they do it into perfection!
Cons: Dogs barking in the night is irritating (neighborhood)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner!
Cons: The swimming pool.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent nights sleep...but we were v tired. Good breakfast for our ongoing days journey...garden & location wonderful...peaceful and relaxing
Cons: plumbing needs sorting
7.5 Good
Pros: Owner and staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: Shower was broken and room was a bit dated and in need of a bit of TLC. Meal was not hot although we could get it reheated.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A typical French old house (a farm? ) with wooden ceilings and unforgettable atmosphere. We especially liked the location in the middle of a tiny, cosy village. The Owner was helpful and had a great sense of humour. The dog- very friendly, so children were satisfied ;). If you like the programme Escape to the country, you should understand why we liked the house...
Cons: the Internet rather slow, our teenager had to manage somehow ;)
