Cons: The bedroom was nice but all the hotel was in remodelation work, and the constant smell of paint was way to strong to be able to ignore.
Pros: Location good. Clean.
Cons: Generator is only on in the evening. Means no hot water when I arrive. The room is new and you can smell the finish strongly, Have to sleep with window open. The reception offered 150 to the airport by tuktuk, but you can easily find one outside with 100.
Pros: Quiet area. Helpfully boss.
Cons: When I was there no power, no internet, no hot water.
Pros: Very comfortable hotel at walking distance from the main street
Pros: The location. The room very clean and big
Cons: The shower and wifi...but like in all the country
Pros: Comfortable room with good wifi connection. Despite situated is in a local neighborhood, it is very quiet at night; I had a good sleep. It is also nice to stroll in the morning on the cobble stone road to see local people in their daily activities. Lots of restaurant and juice bars are within walking distance.
Cons: Wall/doors are not thick enough so I could hear noise from outside the room during daytime
Pros: It is not too far away from the main sights in town.
Cons: The 'manager' of the hotel is always trying to sell tour packages (in Axum, to Denakil, Simien, Tigray churches or wherever) to the customers. He appears rather deceptive and a bit creepy (like appearing out of nowhere near the sights) and seems to control quite a lot of the tour packages going on in Axum... So do check around town for rates and services before committing to any tours.
Pros: I enjoyed my stay at Delina Hotel in Aksum as it is very close to the historical landmarks, and the staff is very helpful. I had a long evening chat with Ephraim the hotel manager, a very considerate fellow and helpful in my visits to the different sites. If you are in Aksum, make sure to visit the monastery of Debre Damo, which is 1.45 hours from Aksum, and built on the top of a crag, in the 5th century, by St. Aregawi, one of Ethiopia's nine saints. The trip is breathtaking with the landscape, and the scaling of the cliff at the end but you will be rewarded with a nice view of the countryside and of Erythrea, far ahead in the north. And of course, do not miss the Church of St Mary of Zion, the Stelae fields not far from Hotel Delina, and the supposed palace and bath of the Queen of Sheba. Depending on your time, I am pretty sure that Ephraim will help you tailor your visits to the different sights.
Cons: The only thing missing was the breakfast option but you will have many nice locales not far
Pros: Good location and good price
Cons: Felt a bit run down
Pros: Very respectful staff. Location is off the main road down a dirt path in a neighborhood. Beds are comfy, bathrooms could benefit from a minor facelift. Rate is reasonable enough to overlook minor blemishes.

Pros: most of the staff were friendly and went extra mile to help us with our needs.
Cons: the front desk tell us the computer is down due to power failure. we clearly tell them that we booked on the booking website and demanded to get our room. they said they cant see it on computer because of the power failure and tell us they have a good room for 800 birr per night. we ask if they can check our booking. they said they cant. so we agreed to take that room. we went in to the room. it was ok. but when we take shower the water overflow to the main room. it was night and we just sleep. in the morning when we check out the front desk tell us to pay 1400.00 birr witch was the price for the original booked room. we tell them the people in the previous day gave us a room for 800.00 birr which is low in quality. but the manager insisted that we booked on booking .com and the hotel pay commission to booking .com and we need to pay the 1400.00 or 50 dollars. we ask him to talk to the front desk manager of the previous day. he talk to him on the phone and said he made a mistake and failed to tell us when the computer comes back on. but they make us pay 1400.00 birr anyways.
Cons: The shower head needs to be replaced.
Pros: Large, clean, comfortable room. Lots of hot water. Wifi, at times. Reasonable breakfast included. The one evening meal we had there was good. Very good value compared to the Sabean for example, whose facilities are similar. You can get a bajaj (the local three wheel 'taxis') from just down the road, where there appears to be an unofficial rank.
Cons: Somewhat unreliable wifi, which wasn't secured. The price I was told on arrival, increased by 600 birr on the day of departure. When I questioned this, the receptionist muttered something about having made a mistake, and then about the booking.com commission. I did end up paying the initially quoted cost, which matched what I expected. They really want to be paid in dollars. The expected airport shuttle didn't pick us up on arrival. There was no safe in the room.
Pros: Waiting staff at breakfast
Cons: Reception staff, no electricity, old and not very clean furniture, towels and bedding
Pros: Hot water for shower was good.
Cons: Internet was inconsistent . Rooms smaller then expected. They need to have better fittng sheets for the beds (bottom sheets should be fitted) and either provide mosquito nets or put screens on the windows for you can open the window without fear of mozzies coming into the room at night.
