Pros: Geraldine is lovely - she even gave me a lift into town when it turned out we were both going that way. My bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was great and my room had every convenience and luxury: a dressing gown, a hairdryer, tea and coffee and an extensive range of breakfast food ready and waiting to go (cereal, bread, fruit, snacks). Like a high-end hotel room but much cheaper. Highly recommend this place.

Cons: absolutely nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We found this wonderful place whilst looking for somewhere beautiful to spend our anniversary and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It far exceeded our expectations and genuinely cannot recommended a visit to Blackwell House highly enough. Joyce and Steve make you feel at home as soon as you step through the door. We even got greeted and chauffeured to the house by the adorable dog Murphy, whilst the cats came to say hello to make sure they got lots of cuddles too. What struck us most was how beautiful yet homely the house was. We were lucky enough to experience the afternoon cream tea, dinner and cooked breakfast, all of which were, by no exaggeration, some of the most delicious food we have ever tasted. This beautiful place rounded off a wonderful few days in Northern Ireland and we hope to return soon. Thank you so much.

Pros: Everything, from the elegant rooms to the top notch food. The bed and pillows, the best ever. Everything shows an amazing attention to detail and great taste. The house offers an experience of relax and peace, where you can chill out, listen to some good music and read a book. The owners are such lovely people who literally spoiled us. They made us feel like home. They even took their time to tell us about the house, and to explain the food. Breakfast and dinner were superb, absolutely not the usual ones you even find in a castle or highly rated hotel. I simply look forward to going back soon.

Cons: everything was above expectation!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. The owner, Iris, could not have done more to ensure a most comfortable and enjoyable stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was my first trip back to Annalong since many magical family holidays from Dublin during the 70's/80's when I was a child. After a conversation with Iris, the next morning a surprise awaited me. She knew the family we had stayed with over 30 yrs previously, had made a phonecall and at breakfast gave me a phone number to call to reconnect with them. I did, and there were many tears. It takes someone special to do something like this, think of others and go above and beyond for them. Anyone can run a business and make it a success. Iris and her husband are so much more than this. They are a rare and special type, and I will definitely be back. You don't meet, or forget, people like this easily.

Pros: Beautiful, clean room /house with a lovely host and delicious breakfast. Highly recommend! :)

Cons: It was all just what we wanted
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast delicious. Plenty of choice. A bit outside Rostrevor. I think a 25 min walk. But a pleasant walk. Beautiful view.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The main problem was that I was locked out between 10.30 and 4.00pm every day. No one explained this when I arrived and I was shocked to discover it. The owner said it was displayed in the bedroom, which it wasn’t. When I said I was surprised at this, he argued with me , telling me I should have gone for a guest house if I wanted to have all day access. This should be made clear in the booking information, as I wouldn’t have chosen it if I’d known the restrictions. Bad customer care.
Cons: See above.

The property is stunning, beautifully decorated and furnished, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Guests have the use of a very comfortable lounge and kitchen where there is tea, coffee and other refreshments available to make at your leisure. There was also a very yummy home made cake and biscuits on our arrival which was very nice to have late afternoon with a cuppa. The bedrooms are appointed to a very high standard, the beds are extremely comfortable, bed linen of a very high quality and our room had stunning views across to the mountains. It felt light and airy and was spacious. The bathroom has an excellent shower and the toiletries by the White Company are very nice indeed. Breakfast is taken in the main house dining room and Susan is a fantastic cook. There is an excellent choice of cereals and cooked breakfasts, all of which was excellent. We certainly did not leave hungry!! This was our first visit to Northern Ireland and this is a fantastic location within easy reach of Belfast and surrounds. We cannot fault anything about our stay. If you want personal service, comfort, a warm welcome and to feel relaxed, this is definitely the place to stay. A big thanks to Susan and Willie, we will definitely return.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really good location, amazing views of the mountains from the balcony. Such a quiet spot and handy walk into town for dinner and drinks and also Kilbroney Park. Comfy bed with really white sheets and towels, slept so well. Good facilities, really powerful hairdryer and nice biscuits. Brilliant breakfast in the morning. John was such an attentive host. Wish we could have stayed longer, thank you for having us.
Cons: Only slight criticism is the shower, needs a bit of TLC, a bit mouldy and the shower head is in an awkward spot right in the corner so don't get the full force of the water. Other than that faultless.

Pros: I stayed for a night before doing a running event near by. The room was great, the owner was very helpful giving advice on places to see and eat. I was away early before breakfast and the owner had left a great selection of foods for us to have in the morning, attention to detail was top notch. Lastly the views from the B&B are breathtaking.

Pros: The accommodation was excellent and the food was fantastic. The beer selection was pretty good also.
Cons: Access to the different areas of the complex could have been a bit easier
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely staff, very pleasant and helpful. Food in the restaurant was beautiful and our breakfast was very nice too. The atmosphere in the bar was homely and lively. Our room was bright and clean.
Cons: The only negatives I have are, the bed was not very comfortable, very hard mattress. As our room was overlooking the main street, it was quite noisy with traffic from around 5am, also the security light outside the window kept coming on and lighting up the room so we unfortunately didn't sleep very well at all I'm sorry to say.

Pros: This place just gives you this great feeling of home away from home. Adele is a terrific host - welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about interesting things to do in the area. The room is quite large, very clean and tidy and with fantastic view. Breakfast was superb, and with a personal touch too. And of course, playing with the dogs outside is the cherry on the icing!
Cons: Everything was great! Only reason to consider a different place is if you don't like being a bit removed from the town - this place requires taking a car to pretty much everywhere.

Pros: This place is a wee gem, very unique. Beautiful views and cosy rooms. Was nice to have a group of 6 altogether after a family wedding. Owners kept in touch from we booked it to we arrived. Welcomed at the door the minute we turned up by the most polite and loveliest lady you will ever meet, shown to our rooms and gave our own key. We were able to come and go as we pleased. Breakfast was amazing, beds were comfy, always hot water, room having an ensuite was good. The list could go on. You won't be disappointed
