Pros: Very friendly owners. Clean and cozy. Great location near town center and harbour. Breakfast was just awesome.
Cons: The only thing which make this pace top rated is poor wifi connection.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very homely stay at the property. The breakfast was excellent and really well presented.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Having a fridge in the room. The breakfast, especially the fruit salad, was delicious! Very cosy, comfortable and friendly. Spotlessly clean. Close to everything, great parking. Good for gluten-free breakfast.

Pros: Location and Stephanie’s help
Cons: Heat on the top floor room Thank goodness for a fan finally provided
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing to dislike
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Bacon and Sausages were 1st class.
Cons: Obviously the staff have never tried using a hairdryer in one of the rooms. I've decided they are purely ornamental. The cable is so short once you extract the hair dryer from the hole, you might just be able to dry your navel. Was disappointed not to be able to have dinner there, as even in the morning there were only 2 available slots 5.30pm, too early, and 8.30pm, too late!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly family-run place (only 8 bedrooms), with a very nice restaurant attached and lots of parking. Nice second floor (attic) room, nice sea views, and the whole place has been recently redecorated.
Cons: Attic room was a bit hot on a (rare?) very hot day. No lift. The town of MacDuff seems to be in serious decline, with quite a depressed air (lots of closed shops), but the coast around is really beautiful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good parking Excellent food
Cons: Tiny bathroom Poor bar/bar area First floor resembled an airport departure lounge

Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. 9.5 Excellent
Pros: Although the dinner menu was a bit limited (understandable for the number of rooms), they were able to accommodate a fussy eater! The quality of the food was excellent and cooked to perfection. All staff polite and helpful.
Cons: Fire doors a bit noisy but, now that it has been pointed out, I'm sure they will adjust the door closures. Drinks perhaps a wee bit overpriced but I suppose they have a limited customer base. I didn't have my usual tipple as the menu indicated that the Martini was a 25ml. measure not the legal 50ml measure for fortified wines and I thought that extortionate. However, I later found out that that was a misprint on the menu although the bar staff were unaware of this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An absolute gem of a hotel! The staff were so relaxed and friendly, and with the quirky Scottish rooms, more like staying over at your posh relatives house than a hotel! Spotlessly clean. Top class menu. Loved it!
7.5 Good
Pros: The location, beautiful building and excellent food for dinner. Also the style of durn house.
Cons: Shower head broken for Sutherland bathroom. Stains on towels and house gowns and no toilet brush/cleaner to use. Also had to have a cold shower as no hot water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. The staff were very accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. Was a lovely birthday treat!
10.0 Excellent

Cons: A better choice of beers at the bar.

Pros: It's a beautiful property
Cons: My third stay - very good again but I wasn't that impressed by the restaurant this time. Expensive and average quality

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff and rooms. The food in the evening was fantastic.
Cons: A little disappointed in the breakfast. Lack of choice in the continental breakfast and the cooked breakfast wasn’t freshly cooked. It would have been nice to have air con but staff brought up a fan as soon as I asked for it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, excellent food and beautiful scenery.
Cons: Nothing!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Great room! Great service and food! Service was a little slow but that might be because of the wedding next door! Otherwise can’t fault it! Highly recommend luxury Gilmore suite!

4.5 Okay
Pros: N/A
Cons: Everything was tired. Hideous and old decor. Yellow pillows. £120 for one night was astoundingly high for such a place.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was in the centre of town, a short walk from the harbour and beside a lovely park. Staff were friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and the bathroom modern with an easy to use shower.
Cons: The cooked breakfast was good but the cold items were a bit basic. Price was slightly high for the type of accommodation in this area.

Pros: Comfortable beds. Nice breakfast. Nice area to walk the dogs at the back of the hotel.
Cons: Stingy on biscuits in the room. One packet of two biscuits and one small bottle of water between us. There was a stale biscuit on the bedside cabinet and a hairdryer and hand towel in a heap on the side. Not good!

Cons: Semi functional WiFi
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent - room, sheets, towels very clean - easy parking - nice grounds. The family suite is very spacious and ideally suited for up to 5 people. Furniture and fittings could/should be modernised, but overall the accommodation was fine.
Cons: We were told we couldn't have breakfast at the weekend until 8.30 even though it turned out later that many other guests managed to agree 7.30 breakfast. We were playing in a National Junior golf tournament at the local club and given that most people staying in the hotel at the time were involved in the tournament, the hotel should have catered better for that. As a result we got into some time pressure as we were playing at 9.20.

Pros: Very close to Duff House which we were visiting. On the high street with private parking at the rear.
Cons: Rooms were a little tired with small tv, but were clean enough. The town of Banff itself had very little to do, but that's not the proprietors fault. Very little choice of local restaurants.

Pros: Beautiful auld hotel central in Banff. Good sized room and comfy bed
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Eric the hotel owner is also the chef if you like your food you have to try his rump steak with peppercorn sauce! The best I have ever tasted he also does a mean French omelette with cheese for breakfast. I stayed in the sea view room which overlooks the harbour out into the bay. So stunning views if the weather allows. I you want to stay in Banff (SCOTLAND not Canada) this is the place to stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our host, Eric, was charming, friendly and amenable. The hotel is a listed building with history which made it interesting and quirky - a sense of faded splendour. It was well located and we had a quiet room with pleasant views over roof tops to the bay in the distance. We had everything we needed in our room and a fabulous shower.
Cons: Our bed was squeaky and the internet connection in our room very patchy. Would welcome the addition of natural yoghurt at breakfast but otherwise it was great.

Kathleen`s Bed and Breakfast - Banff - Beach
11
8.7 Excellent (47 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Kathleen`s Bed and Breakfast in Banff, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of North Sea and Macduff Marine Aquarium.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was amazing, and Kathleen was very friendly. Gardenstown is a fantastic little town and we're happy to have had the opportunity to stay there.
Cons: Kathleen warned us that our double-bedroom with an ensuite didn't have a window, she didn't warn us that it was underground, with no ventilation of any sort at all - not even an exhaust fan for the bathroom. The bedroom doesn't even open onto a ventilated room - it opens onto a corridor that is completely unventilated, which in turn opens onto an unventilated corridor. The most airless night we've spent anywhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place - clean and comfortable room, kindest owner with a sense of humor and an exceptionally tasty breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything else. So comfortable and friendly and bang next to a cracking pub. (Closed Tuesday's and food until 20:30)
Cons: Parking was a pain, but that comes with the territory for a charming old fishing village. Just arrive a little earlier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best B&B ever!!
