Pros: My 10-year-old daughter wanted to take one of her friends to the Corning Museum of Glass, stay overnight in a hotel, and swim in a pool during her Christmas break. I thought they might be a little disappointed/bored, but I was really wrong!! I drove two ten-year-old girls an hour from home to the museum, spent a fun 3 hours or so there, then drove to the Hampton Inn in Gang Mills. The hotel is new, very clean, pretty, and very comfortable. It has a nice small fitness center with ellipticals, treadmills, dumbells and a few other things. All ellipticals and treadmills have their own TVs with disposable earbuds (the girsl LOVED this). The indoor pool was heated, which was great in the Winter! We were happy with the hotel, and had a fun mini vacation there. The best part was the staff person, Kimberlyn, who checked us in and was there until 11:00. She was AMAZING! She was so great with the girls, and put so much effort into making their stay special! She let them know that there would be cookies and popcorn in the lobby, let them help make the popcorn, offered them a board game from a VERY big stack of them they have for free sign-out, played the game with the girls and me in between her tasks, gave us a list of family-friendly movies we could sign out for free, brought the girls a ball for the pool, and kept checking on us to see if she could do anything to make our stay even more special. The girls drew pictures for her and really wanted to "hang out" with her for the night. I had to explain that she had a lot of work to do. The girls commented that staying at "Kimberlyn's hotel" was way more fun than the hotel in Disney! The morning staff person was also very friendly and helpful, but since we had to quickly head out due to bad weather, we didn't get to interact with her much (and didn't get her name). When I called from the road after checkout, the morning staff person went out of her way to find an earring and two rings that my daughter discovered she had left at the pool the night before.
Cons: Absolutely zero negative comments! I tend to pick things apart, so this is a real compliment!
Decent location, spacious rooms, good breakfast, clean facilities especially the swimming pool.
Would stay here again if traveling to the corning area
We stayed at the Hampton Inn as well as a Best western during a recent trip to the finger lakes area and hands down the Hampton Inn was much better. My wife and kids liked the spacious rooms, breakfast and pool a lot.

Pros: This is a wonderful, inexpensive place to stay. The owner/hostess, was very friendly and helpfull. The room was very comfortable and clean. I will definitely stay there again.
Pros: clean. comfortable. very friendly
Pros: I like the homey feel and personal service. The owner is very nice and the rooms are reasonably priced. The rooms are cleaner than your average motel. We will definitely go back!
Cons: There isn't instruction on how to check in. It wouldBe nice if there was a sign or something to direct us.

Pros: Good location, super-nice and helpful staff, clean and comfortable. Three miles from CMOG and Gaffer's District and a good base for exploring the Southern Finger Lakes area. Nice breakfast, too.
Pros: Hospitality was top of the line.
Cons: The bathtub is new and very very very slippery...Watch Out!

Pros: I needed a place to pull over and rest for the night. I was able to make my reservation online and walk right in afterwards with no issues whatsoever. The process was smooth. I liked the free parking, free wifi, and that there was a free breakfast offered.
Cons: The breakfast was adequate, but it could have been better. It had the simple things like cereal and bagels, but there were no scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, or anything of that nature. It was enough to get me started for the day but I found myself wanting more options.
Pros: Very clean, comfortable, good amenities, friendly staff
Cons: Towels were rough and stiff, would have liked a TV channel guide
Pros: It's a Beautiful place. We had a wonderful night of rest. The Staff are so kind. I Highly Recommend this place.
Pros: Awesome facility
Pros: Location for the event we were attending. Breakfast was okay but need fresh fruit.
Cons: Hotel needs to update rooms a bit. The main light switch turned on the nite stand lites, but you had to go back by the door to turn them off. Could not turn them off at the nite. Need more hot breakfast items and also the fresh fruit.
Cons: It was dirty and stinking
Cons: Very dirty. Lots of hair everywhere. Probably bedbugs. Rat crap on the floor.
Located in a scenic place - good, clean affordable.
Pros: Hotel was clean and close to I 86. Room was good.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better.
Pros: It included free wifi and free breakfast.
Cons: It was not the cleanest. There was mold growing on the ceiling above the shower. The bathroom floor & walls looked like they had dirt on them. The room itself was a little cramped and the beds weren't very comfortable.
It was a really good deal that i got and i really enjoyed the stay.
Pros: The rooms are recently renovated and got new carpet and flat screen tv.
Cons: Wish they would have replaced the old hair dryers. It looks bad in a newly renovated bath room.
inexpensive, close to what we needed. Breakfast was adaquit
Pros: Room was clean and large.
Cons: Phone in our room was not functioning
I usually find Super 8's to be a good value for the price. This one needs work. Old building showing it's age, and it smells like an old bowling alley because of the smoking.
Cons: Pretty old building in need of updating
I do not recommend this Hotel. I was a bad experience for me.
Cons: Even though I booked a Non Smoking room smell of cigarette was there. Furniture was in bad condition.
I was there on a NASCAR racing weekend - almost all the hotel prices were sky rocketing during the weekend. I book this motel using priceline - got a good price for this motel. I asked the front desk person to give me a non-smoking room but the front desk guy lied that no room is available at this time. I caught him red handed when I went back to the front desk and he was booking another couple and giving them a non smoking room but what you can say the shameless people. Anyhow, there is a flaw in the priceline system that can book a room without looking the attribute like pet friendly, non smoking etc. It just look for an available room & book the hotel and leave the visitor at the mercy of the hotel staff.
Pros: Hotel Location is good if you are visiting places in the Finger Lakes region. Plus restaurants, grocery shot around the mall
Cons: Receptionist (male) was very opportunist. Asked for a non smoking room but lied to me that no non-smoking room is available.
Pros: Staff was helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was delicious! Good hotel for the price.

Pros: Very charming old hotel. Fantastic staff and the room was huge. It's old, it's got it's quirks. You have to ask for the hot water to be turned on. The staff is super friendly and really wants you to enjoy your stay. It's a fantastic deal for the price.
Cons: I didn't walk in expecting this century old hotel in Bath NY to be the waldorf Astoria so I wasn't disappointed by anything. Well maybe the broken hot water faucet in the tub, but that's it.
Cons: The carpets needed to be cleaned
Pros: The history of the hotel was displayed throughout it.
Cons: The wifi in our room was weak.
Pros: The hotel was relatively easy to find and was fairly close to the highway. The room was worn-looking but clean.
Cons: The extra cost per child is high compared to the room cost. While mentioned in the fine print, the extra amount was charged after checkout without warning and it took 3 calls to get the person in charge of billing, who was dismissive and hung up on me.
Pros: Very historical looking. Very clean. No musty odor in our room.
Cons: waiting on the water to heat up after the staff switched to the other water tank. Parking was tight.
Pros: The room was clean and had everything you would expect in a motel room.
Pros: Staff was accommodating and helpful
Cons: Everything was great
Pros: It was very cozy. Located right on the strip in a rustic, country town it fit the theme well. It has nice wooden paneling all around, a tavern, and trinkets like an old glass bottle vending machine that was refurbished.
Cons: Parking was a little hard to find on a busy weekend (NASCAR race 30 minutes away), and the matress was kind of a brick - t least in the room we stayed in.
Pros: Convenient to walk to restaurants.
Pros: The hotel looks historic. The most of the hotel looks more restored than updated.
Cons: The price I got on here differed when I got there, The a/c unit was very loud. Also hardly had hot or at least warm water for a shower
Pros: Good place to stay for the price, nice owner, good food
Pros: Everything was in order. The Room was clean. It was a good value for the money.
Cons: Little things. Small TV with limited channels. Some water stains on ceiling tiles in the bathroom. Ugly Fluorescent lights. Nothing majorly wrong here. Just a lot that needs updating. All the things you would expect from a cheap hotel.
Pros: Good value for money. Clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was ok.
Cons: Nothing in particular.
Pros: The room was large. The bed and pillows comfy. The staff was very nice.
Cons: The security door "C" did not work. No ice machine could be found.

Pros: It was within 20 mins of watkins glen race track. There was a fridge and microwave in the room.
Cons: Everything else. The hotel itself is filthy - the carpets stained, the halls reek of cigarettes blended with cleaning products. We called because we stupidly forgot toothpaste, nope, the front desk doesn't carry extras. There's no bathroom in the lobby/first floor at all. The comforter in the room had all sorts of stains. There was some random brown stuff on the wall behind the bed. This is the kind of place you really check your sheets for cleanliness or sleep in your clothes.
Pros: The location is good, just a few miles from the Corning historic area, and the area seems good. Breakfast is included, though it's pretty basic (Eggo waffles, cereal, instant oatmeal, a loaf of bread for toasting, packaged pastries, juice, etc.).
Cons: Request not to have a room facing out the back. There are a number of what seem to be residents rather than guests who gather out back each night, grilling, smoking, playing cards, drinking, and making a lot of noise late into the night. We just ran our A/C unit nonstop and it drowned them out. There didn't appear to be an elevator, so if you have heavy bags, be prepared to carry them up one flight of stairs. It's an old building, and it shows. Not super clean, worn carpets and fixtures, etc.
Pros: Location seemed pretty clean
Cons: Looked like there was mold in the bathroom and hair dryer didn't work well. Had to hold button to get it to work.
Enjoy your visit to Painted Post with a stay at Corning Inn. Free perks include WiFi, self parking, and continental breakfast available daily. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: Lock broken on door. Heater fan squeaking loudly all night. Outside entrance. 2 block walk to breakfast outdoors in the rain. Showerhead cheap and not a comfortable stream. No adjustment. And so on.
Pros: Pet friendly , my dog even got a welcome gift
Pros: - Neat rooms
- Minimal breakfast
Cons: - Wifi was only one day
- Heating wasn't enough strong
- Very old TV
- Minimal breakfast
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: Bugs all over the place, no anti bug lamps.
Rooms smelled of pets.
Breakfast was mainly packaged oatmeal, packaged muffins and oranges.
It was not a comfortable setting.
Pros: Large room with fridge and microwave. Very quiet.
Cons: Bathroom fan was loud.
