The room was very nice and comfortable.
The breakfast wasn't very good in terms of quality, quantity, or value. The room rate at 250+ Euros/night was overpriced for a typical 3-star hotel. WiFi was spotty.
Extra clean rooms, comfortable beds
The staff was lovely and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.
It would be better if the restaurant was open for more than only breakfast and then perhaps longer than ending at 9am.
We liked the quaintness of the hotel, old fashioned and charming. The rooms were small but that’s the case in much of Europe. The bed was very comfortable. The water was hot and good pressure and more secure WiFi than is sometimes offered. Very good location to town center and pedestrian area.
The breakfast wasn’t very good. There were No wash cloths as typical in Europe and we forgot to bring our own.
I would like to express how displeased I am with this reservation and the horrible customer serviceI we received as guests. On the website Hotel Churchill claims to offer disabled access and "facilities for disabled guests" this is not the case. There was no elevator, my husband and I had a third floor room that we had to climb 34 stairs every time. I notified them about how I have a injured knee which makes it really difficult for me to climb stairs and they refused to change our room to the first floor even though we asked! People were checking in and out they could have easily put them in our room and moved us downstairs. My knee was further damaged so I had to see an orthopedic doctor and wear my knee brace the whole time in the hotel. We had 34 stairs to walk up and down every time we left the hotel. No air conditioning in the staircase. The hotel claims to offer a 24 hour front desk person and no one was at the desk or available after 11:00pm. Another thing, we had to leave our key hanging on a wall bookcase out in the open with our number on our key. This was every time we left our room. Their was also no toilet paper provided . No toiletries were provided just a soap dispenser over sink and in bathroom. I needed to iron and was told we had to reserve iron ahead of time or climb down 4 set of staircases to iron a blouse. Finally, because of all the stress to my knee injury due to walking up and down the stairs- my knee injury was worsened causing swelling and possibly caused me to develop water on the knee.
