location of hotel also the excellent buffet breakfast
We found the apartment very comfortable and the reception staff were extremely helpful. Also the prices of drinks etc didn't appear to be overpriced, unlike some hotels. Also it was a nice surprise to find that they offered cooking lessons!
Quite a relaxing hotel, you could feel at home in it. Did not like the way two single beds were put into such a small space, too confined. Needs a rethink on the layout. No washing up liquid or washing up pads. A few tea bags and coffee sachets and a carton of milk in the fridgewould be nice. little things mean a lot.
Location is good because the bus station is very close the hotel and easy to move by bus. The training room eas out of order during our stay, but there was no information in the site and in advance.
We had stayed further down the coast and wanted another night near Benelmadena. We know the area very well and knew the location of the hotel and have always thought it was in a wonderful spot and we were not dissappointed. The staff were fab on arrival and allowed us to check in early . The rooms were ideal with everything you needed --shame we couldnt have stayed longer . Nothing
Everything is there, fantastic value for money , great service , comfortable room, fully equipped kitchen and fitness center with sauna. Can't say anything about the food, as we were on SC basis , but coctail bar was good too. Main and only inconvenience - no WiFi or LAN connection in the room. Hoped to do a few things while on holidays, but WiFi was only available in the bar, full of happy and loud people, which is very atmosferic, but makes it difficult to work.
i liked sea view , animation for all ages from kids to adults , appartment is very nice , clean , equiped .
excellent poolside area, plenty of loungers, clean pool, easy access to beach. room at front overlooked road and was a little noisy. some breakfast items could have been better - tinned mushrooms, no fresh juice etc
a very relaxing hotel ,comfort and clean . it is realy a nice hotel.
Room was very clean, lots to do for young familys good value for money we would book again.
the kids playroom was to noise after a11.00 at night when you have a child with you
The accomodation was very good, the staff always friendly. Breakfast was always the same, after five days of eggs and bacon,...
indoor pool etc. location next to building site. maintenance of rooms i.e. second shower unusable, freezer door broken, one window didnt lock
It is an exceptional pace to stay if you have children because of all the activities they have for them, we had to argue with them everyday to get them out of the hotel !! The staff that deal with the activities are very nice too. The hotel staff were helpful but they could have been more efficient. We never had bed linen for all of the beds and it took 3 times of asking before we actually got it. Also, every day our room key never worked at least 2 to 3 times and we had to keep going to reception to get it sorted which was a pain.
Very good place , with very good prices The receptionist of the night ask each time the number of the room before let us get in. The car parking
Value for money, pleasant staff, and good facilities . Activities and entertainment package excellent.
Good for kids Room on 1st floor was really noisy at night as we were in bed early with our baby but would be ok if you had older kids.
Because I went with my family of 7 including 2 grandchildren 2/3yrs the hotel facilities for them were excellent, they are still singing and dancing to songs and talking about 'Benny' the tiger and want to go back again. Because we went in March the weather was hot but not hot enough to swim out doors, the indoor pool etc were very impressive and everything was free no extra charges. Very family orientated. Children facilities were great! I would have liked a seperate bar/room where no kids are allowed, just for a break for an hour or two or for people who have no kids.
The staff were friendly especially Simon from the bar That hill.
Quality of food Personel in restaurant
I love the location the lovely gardens & the staff. It is a lovely spot to relax & the food on offer is excellent. There is an amazing variety catering for all tastes. The buffet is constantly replemished so last into the dining room gets the same choice as the first to arrive for meals.I visited with my brother & his wife and we keep retirning. As a widow I was sorry to find on my receint visit that there is no single rooms. I have to pay a lot more for this holiday.
Air conditioning had 3 speed controls but no thermostat so the room was constantly roasting, made it hard to sleep at night
Usual standards as we had been to this hotel previously.
a pleasent place to stay. entertainment
Friendly atmosphere, good service. nothing
The food and service in the restaurant was excellent and well presented. Location of hotel to beach and other amenities very good. Rooms a bit tired and in need of uplift
I liked the hotel staff who were very friendly and the hotel was very clean and very well positioned in the resort lovely pools
Spacious bedrooms, spacious lobby area, lovely outdoor pool area, excellent location for beach/marina, across the road from bus stop
Pool area very nice and clean Some staff not friendly
Staff were really very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely corner room with large balcony and unobstructed views over the sea. Really liked the wide range of buffet choices at breakfast and dinner Bathroom decor was a little tired
Upon arrival the reception staff were extremely helpful. Our room was large and comfortable and we had booked for a sea view but were impressed to find that we had nothing in our way to see this. The room was really quiet and the standard of cleanliness and the food were great. Only bad point was we had a mini bar but no bottle opener! Also the key card didn't work on a couple of occasions which meant having to go back to reception. Other that no dramas.
Excellent, loved it
The location of hotel was great ,but being close to the road the traffic noise was bad The fact that they insisted on turning the lights up very high in the dining room and the lounge. It did not make the place relaxing when you went for a meal at night ,or for a drink after it. We stoped eating in the hotel because of this.
Everything was great... I dont meet younger then 60 habitant in this hotel. This sucks my energy...
Situation, Terrace and pool area, No steps to Sea front Beds very uncomfortable with creaking springs.
nice terraces with several private grassy bits with just a few sun beds in each. Great terrace for sea views and people watching - shielded from road noise which made balcony use unacceptable proximity to a very busy road - would have made it impossible to sit out on balcony
Friendly staff Nothing really, the rooms are a bit small for the price
the food and entertainment
The hotel is well situated, near the beach, but in a relatively quiet place, with no traffic. The elevatores of the hotel are very narrow and have no ventilation (excessively warm). The hours for breakfast should be extended from 8 to 10,30 a.m.
The price was reasonable. The quality of juices, ham, bacon and sausages was low.
Very good value for money and in a good location. None.
The very comfortable and good-sized beds. The covered swimming pool. The access road was not very attractive.
Breakfast buffet was very good.Plenty of sun loungers and signs up telling guests not to reserve them actually worked. Lifts too small which meant there were always queues for them. Our room was on the 9th floor which meant taking the stairs was not an option.
Los Patos is in a good location, close to the beach & seafront promenade. There is evening entertainment and the restaurant offered a good range of food, although I would have liked a more Spanish option for dinner. We arrived too late for our dinner but had booked half board, so were offered lunch on our day of departure. I would definitely return and recommend the hotel.
Easy access, nice food, clean, well laid out, good service, value for money. My room had had a smoker in it previously so there was a bad smell (the drains too perhaps). Would like it if single rooms were available overlooking the pool and not the noisy road.
Very reasonable price, with parking, near the beach the hotel had a duck enclosure and i felt it was a little small and very uneccessary,
Nicely postsion for the amenities One very small dislike shampoo ans shower not replenished on a daily basis
I enjoyed the breakfast and the use of an indoor pool balcony a bit scary as i was high up on the 6th floor and the balcony seemed to slope downwards!
very relaxing, everyone most helpful ,quite location
Children enjoyed very much because of the facilities of the hotel Room was not too clean
long waiting for the lifts; very complicated "all inclusive" with the cards and signature; no bar on the beach
My wife and i have stayed at playa bonita on 5 or 6 occassions, and find the location, the staff, the beach, perfect for our needs. Although it is quite a quiet area, there are lots of places to visit if you so whish and the train system is excellent and inexpensive, so getting out and about is very easy. We are in our fifties but there is lots going on for families. We like the hotel thats why we keep returing.
Location on the beach. Staff was mostly friendly and helpful. First of all, very noisy. Entertainment and loud music from the cafe-bar until after midnight is not a good idea. We were "forced" to listen to it though we wanted to sleep. Local flavor is OK but global basic standards have to be respected. Too few people at the front desk. You have to wait in line "to access" it. Tours program is poor. No "Please, don't disturb" tag. No room service.
This is a new spa hotel just outside Benalmadina, we both needed to distress and in a couple of days we relaxed, unwound and forgot your worries as we looked out over the stunning blue waters of the Mediterranean. A real tranquillity at a sensible price on the Costa del Sol, I am sure we will need to revisit soon! The restaurant would be more inviting with a few more customers, I am sure it will full once you discover this hotel
The friendly staff, relaxing and peaceful stay and facilities. The only negative about the hotel was the limited choice at breakfast and of the al carte menu at dinner, although the quality was very good.
The staff were very friendly and very willing to help which anything we asked. It was lovely and new as it had only been open 1 month. It is in the middle of nowhere, but if you are planning in staying in the hotel it is fine, otherwise hire a car.
Very comfy beds Access a bit tricky off the motorway
Easy access from motorway, and located close to airport.
Near the airport. Nice host at the reception. Baby bed had a horrible matras! And please mention to take bus A or 19 from the airport and then get out at the first stop "Villa Rosa", cross the road with bridge, hotel behind fuel station.
Fittings and furnishings were of a high standard, everything worked, the bed was very comfortable. The location is just about the worst you can imagine -- in a semi-industrial area. Even though it's close to the airport (almost adjacent), taxis there are very expensive because they apply a minimum charge of Euro 14,50 (18,00 on weekends), and there is no alternative way of getting to the airport, e.g. bus, shuttle or train.
Rooms were clean and big. It was very difficult to get to because of construction in the area. There was no remote for the TV in the room.
Coffe making facilities in room were non functional and blew the electrics each time. In view of this we expected a coffee concession in the cafeteria. The reception staff were very helpful however.
That reception stayed open late enough to check us in at an ungodly hour considering how long it took us to find the place we were worried they would have given us room away. It's ridiculously hard to find. We picked up a rental car at the airport in record time, only to spend nearly an hour trying to find the hotel, because it is so badly marked on the side of the road. What kind of direction is "we're behind the gas station"??.
The staff were very friendly and efficient. Despite being called an "Airport Hotel" it is €15 by taxi. It is located at the side of a major road with no facilities nearby. Other people in the hotel had booked directly and paid less.
The hotel may be geografically close to the airport but due to the road layout its a 10 min drive and taxi costs 20 EUR each way.
Staff is excellent & very helpful.
Cleanliness Very difficult to locate, I suggest a bigger/brighter sign, or better directions,
two blocks away from airport where we arrived after midnight.
Great location, cool rooms - public and bed, slightly faded decor. Sheets had small holes in. Maid kept removing half used soap bars and replacing with new. Some noise from street at weekend and at night from hotel corridoor.
Nice and clean resonable priced and central to the bars resturants and shops near Belamedina Harbour No Gym
Closeness to the Marina and beach This hotel is in urgent need of a refurb.
Very good value for money no tea coffee making in room
service given by all staff
It was nice n quite
good location with brilliant views of marina and sea.
nice staff goood location nice room
There was no entertainment and the pool bar was only opened occasionally. There was also a lot of dust on the top of the wardrobe. Badly in need of updating.
everthing was very goog the room we were allocated was overlooking a deserted building last time we had a sea view
Great room - good facilities. Bright, clean, modern and extremely comfortable.
everything. and in particular the ensuite jacuzzi in the bath coffee machine was,nt working for breakfast. a bit petty, i know
The hotel was nice, and our children enjoyed the bunk beds in the room.
We have booked to stay in a 'sister' hotel in Salamanca in September
Right in the centre a of Malaga and a real "shoppers heaven" also close to the cathedral and other attractions. Lovely jucuzzi baths which light up. Great showers. Having a lap top in the room was a bonus. We found the staff at reception quite helpful. There are no safety rails on the bunk beds. In general the beds are quite solid. Breakfast was not worth the money. Alternatively there are a couple of nice cafe's in the area. As the hotel is in a pedistrian zone your taxi will not be able to deliver you to the front door.
The hotel is modern and very nice. It even has a computer in every room with free internet access. It does not have a parking and the public parking (between 17-20 Euros per day) is 3-5 blocks from the hotel
Cleanlines of the hotel was excellent, breakfast good, Location is the best in Malaga. TV-rack was strange and inconvenient, you can easily break your toes with that. Wall rack would be much more convenient.
A boutique hotel, right in the centre of old Malaga...............excellent
Location was fantastic, rooms were very nice No swimming pool
Location was great, rooms very modern No swimming pool but we already knew that
staff polite and very helpful, rooms great value for money
Convenient for see front, nice sunbathing area round pool, comfortable sun beds. our apartment was a bit of a strange shape and had to out of the complex to get in & out of it although it actualy looked over the pool. Could do with a bit of updating but I understand there is some refurbishment already going on
excellent value,,plenty to do
The room was very nice and spotless. Good facilities for children, a nice pool area and a good restaurant. Friendly staff. All in all a very nice hotel. Reception could have done better in allocating a room for us. We ended up having to carry the buggy up and down five sets of steps from and to the room...
relaxed swam ate good food , had nice evening strolls along the beach and nights out at the harbour, excellent looking forward to going back.
on behalf of all of us who stayed, I can honestly say that the staff, facilities & cleanliness were second to none, & I would have no hesitation staying there again or recomending Sahara Sunset Club to friends or family.
Friendly Staff, Lovely Clean Hotel. Excellent location, Child friendly. Cant find anything that i didnt like!!!
Great clean rooms, friendly staff, good facilities to cook food, nice surroundings, good for families, quiet, clean nice, good pool areas (for children also).
just about everthing meet and greet staff very nice rooms spacious and tidy lovely pool and close to the beach
Very nice place to stay, great for relaxation, parties and trips. Services provided by this hotel are excellent.
location noise ot the road behind the hotel
It was a really nice hotel, food good, the only problem was, it was a bit far away from everything. no complaints
Really liked the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable with nice views.
Room was very big Fixtures and fittings somewhat 'tired' and need some modernisation
everything flies at pool
the staff was very helpful, our first room had views of the beach, but was also overlooking a noisy freeway, we aked to change it, and for a fee we were able to get an oeanfront room, which was very nice the photo on line was deceptive. the beach to the west of the hotel (in photo) does not exist. maybe it was washed away. we waked there and it was all rocks. there was a beach on the east side of the hotel. maybe the photo should be updated. it was still a pleasant place to stay either way. very relaxing.
the way you couls hear the peaple in the room next door! we had to be moved.
Just a short journey from the airport you are soon relaxing in the comfort you would expect from this type of hotel, with friendly helpful staff, extensive sea views, fairly quiet location but well positioned to visit many tourist attractions locally and beyond. As the hotel caters for conferences the reception can be busy at peak times but in a hotel of 350 rooms that is to be expected
It was situated very convinient for meetings and airport
nice location, rather at the end part of Benalmadena but we appreciated the quite, nice pool and garden and good food served at restaurant. good rate value Aldough pool is small for high season when we booked it was not too crowded, people stated it was not worth the 4 stars, many noisy children in restaurant, but we are easy travellers and it did not disturb us, the beds could have been of more comfort
Superb location just on the perimeter of the main resort, with lovely walks into resort. The staff were very helpful with information prior to our stay. An excellent spacious room with superb un -interrupted sea and coastal views. The exterior area around the pool could be more manicured.
We found the Best Benalmadena comfortable and convenient for the purpose of our visit which was part business and part holiday. During our short stay the weather was, for the time of year, very hot and we found the airconditioning in parts of the Hotel was totally ineffective, in particular the lifts and specifically our bedroom. We had the airconditioning control on its highest setting but it made little difference to the temperature in the room. There did not appear to be any airconditioning in the lifts.
Pleasant staff, good quality food, value for money, very clean, good location. No adult entertainment. Lack of coffee making facilities in room. Poor Television channel choice. More coffee machines needed in resturant.
Good location and exellent service
Nice hotel, food good, courtious staff, good access to beach,Ideal for a week or in my case just a couple of days,as good as you will get for the money, thats if you get a deal through Boookings.COM.
Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff No
The room size was very adequate and general appearance of the hotel was good As english speaking quests we found it very difficult to get served at any of the hotel bars, I communicated this issue to staff at the main hotel desk. In my opionion the hotel staff and administration were totally focused on spanish guests. There were other issues found during our stay that we found below power. In conclusion I found the hotel staff very dismissive.
the quality of the food at both breakfast and dinner was excellent, worth considerind an all inclusive package. the staff on reception and in the bar area werent particularly friendly but we found this to be true in other places in the area as well
This hotel offer a good location to enjoy the beach and tranquility. Staff is really good, quality of room also (clean and spacious), large offer of good food :). Location is located to 50m. from beach. Not so much tourist, so for us it was fine and best hotel of this 3 weeks holidays (Spain + Portugal) Everything was good
nice and relaxing and pool area and location to beach exactly what we wanted from our holiday. cooking facilities in the room were also a really good standard.
This apartment block is smaller in terms by comparison to some of the other accommodations close by, which made it intimate. Previous reviews made reference to the incline up to the hotel, however access through the garage gate was available at all times via intercom as I was travelling with an elderly parent.
The cleanliness and can do attitude of all staff
it was quiet and peaceful, check in/out was quick and efficient the 'balcony' was very small and had no view at all
good value ,slightly above average quality,no problems only rpb ,came down for breckfast at 9.30 one morning and there was nothing left worth having and the cooked items were not refilled
the staff were very nice the hotel was amazeing great place for a family to relax i will be going back next year with me family.
Hotel was beautiful, the staff were helpful and cheerful, food was great, very relaxing and in a great location for visiting all local towns. Would definately go back. Would have liked a nice coffee (I don't drink alcohol) and was a shame that you had to pay extra for the indoor pool and use of spa.
Very nice and will equiped hotel The number of staff at the front disk was not enough to satisfy all costumers at the same time
Comfort was brilliant - food disappointing - but hotel was full. Will try new one next year in Holiday village.
Luxury rooms, great food and drink, enjoyed the beach club, relaxing by the pool, high quality lots to do......facilities are great. Very family orientated hotel the only reason I would not return as was a young couple on a relaxing break but I would definately recommend to families. Not very friendly member of staff at check in. Entertainment at night was average some nights quite good some nights not so good.
family oriented The weather
Relaxing atmosphere - consideration for the children for halloween - staff were lovely - nice atmosphere in the restaurants. food was lovely and plentiful just not hot enough - didnt think it was fair that they took your wrist bands off you at 12 oclock noon on the day of departure - considering we didnt check in until 11pm on the Monday
Excellent pools, food
The hotel was perfect for our 2 children, the pool very safe for our 1 year old. Disappointed that the slides at the beach club and wave pool were closed . Our only other problem was flies, they were everywhere!! Very annoying at the hotel and at beach club, they drove us mad. I know the hotel can't do anything about them and it probably was something to do with the time of year
It was a fantastic holiday destination for us. The weather was perfect, the food was excellent and we enjoyed the entertainment. Nothing
The best part about this hotel was the location. It was nice and quaint and very close to great shopping food and drinks. Only 15 mins from airport- 20euros. The rooms were a bit small. No irons available- must send all clothes to the laundry to be ironed at a pretty outrageous rate. The food was just okay. No late night menu. Went to the bar which stays open til 2am but no food there either. Teeny tiny pool with literally 6 lounge chairs.
every thing was perfect
The Hotel, staff, room and location were all excellent. I liked the valet parking, nice touch. I had a room service meal one evening, it was very good, well priced and arrived quickly. I will definately stay here again. I'm being really picky here but newxt to the workdesk there is only one socket. l had to purchase an adaptor so that l could use my laptop and the desk lamp. The free WiFi connection always showed as 'poor' but the desk will always lend you an ADSL cable.
I thought the reception staff and the porters of this hotel were absolutely wonderful. They were exceptionally pleasant as well as being proud of their hotel and efficient. Our bedroom was on the first floor at the front of the hotel. Despite having double-glazed windows, it was dreadfully noisy. The street outside is very busy and the bay window in the bedroom seemed to draw the noise into the room in a way in which a normal window would not. It was a real nuisance and we were woken on and off throughout the night as well as early in the morning on each of the 3 nights we spent in the hotel.
Absolutely fantastic, 5* hotel excellent staff, we upgraded to Junior suite 101 ask for this if you want the perfect romantic break No coffee facilities in the room!
Fresh hotel, fairly good location for shopping. Our room faced the main street outside and it was far from soundproof. In addition, as it was raining, the raindrops hit the arcroof of our window and it felt like sleeping beside a dripping bath-tap. When we told the hotel personnel about this it was no real interest in the subject.
