The breakfast was lovely, but alittle on the cold side the first two days. The big fence around the complex was a bit worrying, and for what looked like a quiet spot was very noisy at night.
The power for the kettle in the room could actually work. Television was too complicated to change the channel.
More like an American Motel. 2 blocks with a central block with reception, Bar and cafe. Gated car park. Facilities were adequate.
Walking route from City Centre meant using an underpass that might put a few people off.
Fabulous breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Very clean comfortable room. 13 amp sockets near the bed meant I could plug my laptop and phone in without having to trail leads from the opposite wall like you have to do at Premier Inn. Secure site for car behind security fencing and effective pedestrian security. 5 minutes walk to good restaurants and 10 minutes to Birmingham nightlife.
I only marked the cleanliness down slightly because being motel style, room access via external passageways is a bit grubby in the English climate but the rooms were impeccably clean and the bed comfortable. As of October 2019 there is noisy building work beginning 8am at an adjacent site but it looks nearly complete. It wouldn't worry a business traveller and probably stops at weekends.
Very good value for money, staff were very helpful
Excellent facilities and I’d stay again clean professional approach and spotless room
