Our room had a small balcony which was nice and it was close to a stone beach.
The shower was very small and the bathroom could have been cleaner. I would clean more around the flushing button on the toilet. It looked dirty.
I like the location just in front of sea. Great view from balcony. Pritty garden. So it is an old hotel but it is comfortable. Normal breakfast, just normal. But sea and seaside is great.
No restorants near, one should walk to the port to eat. But not far, about 15-20 minutes walk. There are 2 restorants which i recommend “Sergio’s” - for fresh and tast see food and Il Caicco - for brischetas, pizza, and so on. Hotel has its own beach but you have to pay 10 euro for each bed. But Just next to it there is another beach and there are beds for 5 euro. Swim pool is normal but you have to erar hat :( which costs 3 euro :)
The restorant for the dinner was good and the costs are okay; The pool was like on the photos
The whole hotel is in a miserable condition - since 52 years (the building time) no referubishment has happend. And you have to wear a bath cap in the pool (like in the sixties..)
The only thing great about the hotel is that it is near the beach. It all stops there.
The staff were so so except for Giovanna, who was absolutely lovely. On our first night, we did not have aircon. Called reception only to be told nothing can be done until next morning. For the first three days, my daughter had to sleep on the floor because the foldable bed they had in the room was broken. Building is nothing like a 4 star. One elevator stops at every floor and the other shakes horribly upon stopping. Beware claustrophobic people, I’d suggest taking the stairs which we did nearly everyday. Apart from the coffee, breakfast was a joke. The pool was fine except for the fact that you wouldn’t be told you need a swimming cap until you are in the pool, by which time you have no choice but to buy the cap from them which is priced extortionately. Paid £2000 for 2 triple rooms for 11 nights which is a major disappointment as I DID NOT GET WHAT I PAID FOR! At least in some hotels, you get a discount but being a frequent traveller, I think this hotel is a 2 STAR!!!
The restaurant at the Hotel Salsello is exceptional.
