10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very different and impressive place to stay. A lot of care and thought has gone in to this concept, and it really worked for us. We felt very much at home and enjoyed the choices in the “ Diner”. Bedroom was very tastefully furnished and we loved the colours and choice of fabrics.
Cons: It was very warm during the night, and the Velux type windows were high and a bit difficult to open. There was, however, an excellent fan which cooled the room and was not noisy in operation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Laid back, spacious and THAT DINER!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, fun and convenient
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a quirky hotel with very attentive staff. A 24 hour DIY guest access breakfast room is novel and very useful. It is especially rewarding for Morgan car owners (like us), who can admire the current stock, order spares etc. Even if you don't have a Morgan you can admire the selection and even try or buy one!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Whole experience was first rate. Good parking, friendly attentive hosts and superb facilities.
Cons: No drawbacks.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: If you are looking for something out of the ordinary then this is the place for you. The kitchen, set out as an American Diner, is well stocked and available 24 x 7. It is fully equipped so if you wanted to you could produce/cook a meal in the evening. My room, Super Sport, was art deco and brilliantly decorated.
Cons: Coming back in the day parking could be tight but having said that I always found a space.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Melvyn is running a little gem of a B&B here. His enthusiasm is infectious and he was clearly proud to show us around his establishment! As a classic car enthusiast, I loved his showroom and storage areas as much as the room which was beautifully designed. We will be returning Melvyn, and might even hire one of the cars next time! Thank you so much for your hospitality!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The extremely friendly welcome from Melvyn. The whole of the accommodation was spotlessly clean and the diner is fabulous. Thanks again Jackie & Jo x

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Melvyn greeted me and spent time showing me around - it is fantastic!. We loved the 'diner' based on Ace Cafe - loved the details, great that we could help ourselves to breakfast - loved the flexibility - the fact we could bring our own food and cook. We loved looking around the cars. We will be back to try out another room and hire a car for the day. It was perfect!
Cons: There is nothing we didn't like about our stay - we had the place to ourselves (which was perfect) but wondered how it might have worked out if it had been full.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything at the Pit Stop. Good, off street parking. Very good hosts. Excellent accommodation and very good Breakfast food. The Pit Stop deserves to be included in anyone's holiday itinerary. It is more than a B&B and it is of a very high standard. The American DIner is wonderful and don't let the self service breakfast put you off from staying here Melvyn and Sindy have everything you need in their diner to feed hungry guests. Not only do you get to stay in luxury accommodation for a reasonable cost you also get to look around the beautiful cars stored there. The Pit Stop B&B is near enough London and next to Standsted Airport. Car enthusiasts should make sure to stay here and even if you do not have a passion for cars, like my w

Pros: Location to airport
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location and clean, courteous and very helpful staff. The check out was at 10 am, not 11 am like many other places which we hoped, but we were allowed to stay till 11 am to finish watching our favourite Andrew Marr show. There were wide choice of self serviced breakfast, but there was no hot food or continental breakfast.
Cons: The room was very small and congested for twin beds, but was okay for one night stay as we arrived quite late in the evening after finishing a wedding ceremony. We found outdated butter in the fridge. We brought it to the attention of the landlord and was told that it might have been left there by a customer as people sometimes bring their own food.

Pros: My son and I had a very comfortable stay at Standsted Inn. We enjoyed falling asleep and waking up to the sheep. The room was small but comfortable for just my son and I. We were upgraded to a room with bathroom which was nice to have traveling with a shy kiddo. The night we arrived Nadia greeted us and even went out of her way to help us get late dinner. Rooms were cleaned Everyday. Getting to the train station was pretty easy. We were told we could take a bus that ran every hour but decided to take a taxi which was only 7£. I cannot express how friendly and helpful Nadia was. She was an angel on our last night there. My son felt ill and had a fever. She went out of her way and drove to get him some medicine. I totally recommend Stansted Inn! Thank you Nadia and Moira!

Pros: Quiet. Beautiful setting. Breakfast in room was ideal as I was by myself. Parking is a little awkward but that depends on other guests also parking sensibly. There is space on the track outside..
Cons: Other people smoking outside my open window.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and really conveniently located to airport - perfect for early morning flights and fuss free. Adorable thatched cottage as you approach the reception to check in - loved the quirkiness. Amenities were ideal for a one night stay and handy to have little porridge pots/muffins available for a reasonable £1 each.
Cons: It was quite a small room and not very soundproof from bedroom to bathroom but this wasn’t a problem for one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff offer airport transfers for half the price of a taxi and they are very prompt, not to mention friendly! The guest house was so lovely, clean, and well stocked with anything you might need (body wash, towels, coffee, snacks, etc.). The room looked newly renovated and was so clean on the inside.
Cons: It was really warm when we arrived so we opened the windows, which led to a TON of bugs entering the property. This made it hard for me to sleep. However, there’s nothing that can be done about this and they do provide a fan for comfort.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely communal bathroom with large bath
Cons: When we arrived on a Wednesday at around 5pm there was no one to meet us and the door was locked; we’d received an email from booking.com with a message saying call thirty mins before but it was among several confirmation/reminder emails we received from the website (plus juggling emails about flight details etc) so we missed it. When we called the host he seemed irate, implying we should check our emails more clearly. They did send someone along to open up the place within 10-15 mins after that. If that’s the policy of the B and B it needs to be more clearly communicated by the booking website or directly by the hosts. But it seems an odd policy for a B and B to not always have an open reception, more in line with a less formal air B and B.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. John and Marie were very accommodating.
Cons: We were in the green room, which has the tiniest shower. Not good for a tall person, especially if you drop the soap! The basin in the cloakroom has no plug, making it difficult to shave. The windows not open.

Cons: Room was very warm but the hotel are trying to deal with it
7.0 Good
Pros: Property on amazing grounds Some staff were very helpful and polite food really nice if a little pricey
Cons: A lot of the staff seemed rude and in serious need of training ie on arrival we ordered some drinks glass of wine and 1 cider took over half hour for drinks to arrive !! From then on our party always seemed to be less important than all the wedding parties they had whilst we stayed , three I counted in total !! Be a hotel that has weddings over a busy wknd but you also need to look after your residents ?? Also our room had a beeping noise either inside or outside the room , told reception on the 2nd morning of our stay and was told someone would be up to have a look and get back to us !! No one did !! For somewhere charging a lot of money per room and being a very popular wedding venue I would of expected a higher drilled team of waiters / waitresses but afraid to say a lot were incompetent of often raising a smile let alone getting an order correct and within an acceptable time frame , yes you had weddings happening all wknd but most of the time they were in different rooms and being seen to !! I feel this hotel could be exceptional with the right people in place as the hotel itself is amazing unless this happens then we won’t be back in any rush to let down hall !!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I arrived just before check-in ended but was very well welcomed, I was shown to my room and it was fresh and spotless they had even put a kettle with tea, coffee, and chocolate powder on the side. Although I had to leave before breakfast the next morning they offered to get a light breakfast in order for me, which was lovely. The place, in general, has a quite old fashioned vibe to it and it gives the place a homey and comfortable impression.
Cons: The only thing that was not positive about this place is that it was a little bit hard to get to from the airport later in the day unless you want to take a taxi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I recieved a very warm welcome. It is a nice and small place and worth a visit.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfy, good location.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location is perfect: you're just 15 minutes from the Stansted airport but not in one of those boring airport hotels where you feel alone & bored and there's no place to go to. I am sure that the pub adjacent to the hotel is excellent, but I never went there. Room was large, bath amenities provided. The town is not very big but you will easily find a few restaurants, shops, a park, and a Waitrose store just 10 min walk from the hotel. Owners (or managers) were very welcoming and seemed friendly.
Cons: No air conditioning. This was a very special case of extra hot days in the UK (+40C that exact day of my stay) and the only way to not die of overheating was to open a window. On the first floor. Out to street window. You can imagine that literally everyone could open curtains from outside and look into the room. Ah, there was also a not that very helpful fan. Room was just briefly cleaned before my arrival. there was even a shirt in the drawer, last customer's shirt I assume. I found lots of hair in the bathroom and on the bed. The room got only 2 electricity sockets and both of them are near the table. So you won't be able to charge your phone while lying on the bed. Wifi was not working at all, although I didn't complain cause I had my 4G anyway. But anyways.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very kind helpful staff who couldn't do enough to help.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy check in and out. Everything you need is provided. Good location, ample parking. All good
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Value for money & central to town
8.8 Excellent
Pros: There was no breakfast. But I liked the friendliness of Adam who was most pleasant and helpful. Nice to be able to park my car right outside my room window too! The Jolly Brewers is a proper pub and all the better for that.
Cons: A breakfast would have been nice but I quite understand the logistics and I found food close by.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location near to train station, bus routes and local amenities. Comfortable bed and clean room that was surprisingly quiet at night.
Cons: The only thing missing was the possibility of getting a bite to eat at the pub.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good location for town centre. Parking outside room.
Cons: Shower head not positioned right. Instead of on/off twist taps in bathroom sink, they were just push one's, which fussed out water for 10 seconds
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was good for me as it was within walking distance of my destination. I didn't eat there as I joined my friend for meals as she is local.
Cons: I couldn't find the hair dryer but as I had my own so it didn't matter. I left a message to report this but it didn't affect my stay.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation is converted stables beside the pub and they have made a good job of it. The rooms are fairly basic but comfortable and clean and not too small. The bathrooms are excellent with a full sized shower, toilet and wash hand basin. Plenty of towels. Tea and coffee making facilities. Extra pillows in the wardrobe if needed. Parking right outside the accommodation.
Cons: It is on a main road and although there wasn't a lot of traffic late at night, it could be heard and the headlights could be seen through the blind. There was no hairdryer in the room. I didn't realise until the morning and the pub was shut so I couldn't ask for one.

4.3 Okay
Pros: The hotel was conveniently located for a friend’s gathering nearby.
Cons: The room was unbearably hot so we did not sleep at all. There was a lot of noise overnight with disruptive guests. The hotel needs a bit of a revamp, it looks very outdated unfortunately. WiFi also did not work apart from one spot by the door.

6.0 Good
Pros: Our evening meal was lovely
Cons: Our breakfast was a disaster. When we booked we specifically asked for gluten free toast. None was available. It took one hour to get breakfast by which time we had to change the time of our taxi. No orange juice available and tea we ordered never came. We pre paid for something we never got. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Very disappointing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We did not have breakfast so it was just a late check in and early check out. But the room was very sweet and clean.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Food in the bar was fantastic, great ambience and very friendly staff.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We were late for check in times but found the attached bar still open and a friendly new employee having waited behind for us on bar/reception to ensure we found our room ok and didn’t need anything. Great service.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean and comfortable. Good location.
Cons: Breakfast, didn't start till 8:00am, no one around until 08:20 shame as it was nice previously
6.8 Good
Pros: Breakfast was wonderful!!Staff very friendly.
Cons: The room was very disappointing, very small?and bare. The bathroom was not very clean. All needed updating!
6.8 Good
Pros: Lovely building and staff. Evening meal was decent
Cons: The lack of staff was an issue. The same girl checked us in, did our afternoon tea, took us to our room. She was cleaning the bar in the morning, took our breakfast order and checked us out. It meant everything took far longer than it should have done. Breakfast was disappointing, wouldn’t have thought poached eggs would take 30 mins and then be well over done. No reflection on the limited staff who worked hard and did all they could. Far from an unpleasant stay, just a bit underwhelming for over £100
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Old, characterful building with modern comforts.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The room itself was nice and big and nice mugs for the coffee !
Cons: No reception when arriving after certain time - they sent an email explaining how to get into the hotel - the email was missing vital info that I needed to enter ! No outside light was on so I was running around alone in the dark trying to figure out where to get in. The room itself was nice and big but the windows are very old and you could hear every car passing.
7.0 Good
Pros: Liked the period feel to the bedroom.
Cons: The tea and coffee hadn’t been replenished. There was no milk, we had to go downstairs and outside to get some. There was the used shampoo and shower gel in the shower still from previous customers.

Cons: Room was tatty and musty.
7.0 Good
Pros: Fine for one night stay (as most guest will be using it), rooms are a decent size, fairly modern decoration and clean. Lots of facilities near-by with the service station. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Some of the facilities were quite tired, some lights in our room had connection issues and you could not use the air conditioning unit as it would leak a lot. Little bit pricey for what you get.
7.0 Good
Pros: Cost and were ok but location was further away than expected considering it was advertised as an Airport hotel
Cons: Hotel advised me there was an airport shuttle but there wasn't it had been discontinued. We had no advice given on how to get to hotel by public transport and when we worked it out we had to drag pour bags through a hedge to find where the hotel was.
7.5 Good
Pros: 10 mins drive from Stansted airport. Next to welcome break, where you can grab some food and snacks. The parking was free
Cons: It’s dated, but you pay for what you get. Good for an overnight stay before departure

Pros: Near the airport.
Cons: Not many choices for food around.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location was the only plus point.
Cons: Hotel in general was tired and frayed like the stair carpet. My first room had a door that was stiff and had to be barged open, no working light in main bedroom, and curtains hanging off the rail. Moved rooms which was better but should not have to do this.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Location to Stansted Airport
Cons: Everything! Room smelt of stale cigarette smoke and urine. Mattress was old and broken so both rolled to the middle of the already small enough bed each night. Mould and damp in bathroom. Can hear everything that goes on in the rooms above.

Pros: Convenient for airport Facilities close by albeit they motorway service area

6.2 Good
Pros: Good location if you have to fly out of Stansted the following morning, girl on front desk very helpful and pleasent.
Cons: No eating facilites, ate in the Ramada next door which was very poor, very much a one night necessity stay hotel.
