Pros: Jim and Christine were the perfect hosts. They make guests feel at home.
Cons: There's nothing to not like. Everything is perfect here. Would come back for leisure.
Pros: Hostess was super friendly, my bed was very comfy. Coffee was excellent
Pros: Breakfast was outstanding. Very hospitable hosts and location was great for our stay in Blackstone to visit family
Pros: I loved how personal the stuff was!
Cons: My stay was only one night! I wish it were longer.
Pros: Christine and Jim, the hosts, were wonderful! They made an incredible and delicious breakfast, fresh peach pancakes, fresh brewed Ethiopian coffee, delicious fruits and organic local eggs. We appreciate their time, every little detail was a labor of love. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We will definitely come back. George and Lia.
Pros: The Inn has a lot of character and the room I stayed in was very comfortable. Had two great nights sleep. The bed was very comfortable. Jim is a great cook! I had requested a low carb breakfast for both mornings, and they graciously provided a unique and delicious breakfast each morning. The coffee was excellent as well! Christine was a very warm and welcoming hostess. She was very conscientious and thoughtful throughout my stay to make sure I had everything I needed to be perfectly comfortable. Great people and great service!
Pros: Everything was perfect from our room to breakfast served the next morning.
Cons: There wasn’t a thing that could have been improved upon during our stay.
Pros: Christine and Him are wonderful inn keepers who know what you want and when to leave you alone. Very accommodating and interesting to boot!
Cons: I am a big fan of strong water pressure and loads of hot water in a shower but it was still ok.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. . I also like that they serve coffee and hot water with tea throughout the evening. There is a bridge in between the hotel and a closed restaurant that goes over a pond. I did like the peace and quiet where they are located. The heated pool was wonderful and pool towels are provided. I had a good sleep, the bed was perfect for me. Hot breakfast is provided which was nice to have.
Cons: The only thing is that the bathroom sink was a bit higher than the norm. It was a bit difficult to lean forward to wash my face.
Pros: Very conveinient.
Cons: No microwave in room.
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Great coffee.
Pros: The thing I liked most about this hotel was the feeling of cleanliness. Also every member of the staff was super friendly. I really like that. A good hotel must be clean, have a comfy bed, and Wi-Fi. I enjoyed my stay.
Cons: One thing I did not like was the coffee pot in the bathroom. I feel like that is really gross. I wouldnt brew a pot of coffee. The other thing I did not care for was the small pillows on a king size bed. We would really Prefer larger pillows next time
Cons: Booked for three days. Arrived Friday pm, departed Sunday morning. Maybe 36 hours, Left one day early. Still billed for three days. Counter person never asked a single question. I didn't say a thing. Might have been too difficult to bill me correctly. Many other things. Too many to list.
Pros: Everything was super clean and it smelled good! Breakfast was excellent and I liked that there was coffee always available in the lobby. I stayed in Farmville the first time we came here and the place was disgusting for the same money. Will definitely stay here again!
Pros: THE CLEANNESS OF THE ROOMS!!!
Cons: THE POOL WAS OUT!!!
Pros: Some breakfast items were available really early. Beds were good. An upgraded version of this hotel would be good.
Cons: Bathroom area smelled like smoke and poop. Exercise machine was broken and not much there. Ice machine on floor didnt work. Outdated for star level.
Cons: Great staff and clean rooms for the price.
Pros: Bed and pillows very comfortable
Cons: The indoor pool is still not working and is unusable. Nobody really knows when it will be repaired.
Pros: I like the white comforter and plenty of hangers.
Pros: Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
You'll be centrally located in Blackstone with a stay at Wedgewood Motor Inn, and 10 minutes by foot from Robert Thomas Carriage Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Bugs everywhere, guests smoking marijuana in the parking lot, staff very rude and spoke very limited English.
Pros: Location and desk clerk very helpful and nice
Cons: Bright light coming in room at night with curtain closed.
Pros: I did not know there was a breakfast. It's the only game in town, so one must use it. A nice competitor would put them out of business unless they significantly lower their rates.
Cons: The heating unit below the front window is very inefficient. It does not warm the bathroom, which is in the back of the unit. Fortunately, it was not really cold there this week.
Pros: the only room (122) that was available was a smokers room and it literally made me sick and I do mean sick my clothes and personal belongings I left out in my car but it didn't matter. What II was wearing stunk up my car so bad.
Pros: Convenient to Fort Pickett
Cons: Very run down and dirty. Sheets were yellow from possibly smoke or sweat. Overpriced for 0 amenities and how dirty it was. Shower had mold in it.
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: the site offered Wi-Fi when I confronted the attendant about the connection he insisted it was working when he knew that it was not available. He was not welcoming as the profession demands. He greeted me as " What do you want" I was surprised at his demeanor. That was a turn off for wanting to return there next visit.
Pros: The only hotel in town.
Cons: Bedbugs in my room.
Cons: When I arrived, the gentleman in the office told me that I didn’t have a reservation when I had booked one two months ago. Even when I pulled up the reservation on my phone, he tried to argue that I didn’t have one. When I persisted, that’s when he stopped arguing about it. The price I was quoted in the reservation was 85 dollars a night. He took my debit card and charged me 109.00 a night without my permission. Considering that Blackstone is where my family originated and I was bringing my elderly grandmother home to visit family for Mother’s Day, I had no choice but to stay. My family has been staying at the Wedgwood since before I was born and from the looks of the room, the only things that the management has updated since 1984 is the shower curtain and the high powered locks they now have on the doors. Other than that, they have not invested in the property at all. Perhaps, they should price gouge their guests a little more and actually use the money to improve the hotel.
