Pros. Nothing
Cons. This place shouldn't even be allowed to operate for business. The rooms are broken, old and dirty. The bathrooms make noise all night and beds are at best hand me downs from the 1920's. Stay away I wouldn't stay here again if they offered it to me for free. We didn't even stay the entire night we left and stayed else where.
Pros. Our room was spacious, had ample counter space for getting ready in the morning and a large fridge/ freezer which was amazing since my husband and I were traveling for the week and needed somewhere to refreeze ice packs and keep food cold. The motel is about a 15 minute walk to downtown Boise or a 20 minute walk (in the other direction) to a park and Boise river.
Cons. The carpet was pretty dirty, we tried to keep most everything on the counters or the bed and used our own pillows and blankets, though the sheets and everything looked fine. The tub was a little dirty looking too and super slippery!
Pros. The hotel looked kind of dicey. But it was alright the staff was nice. I didn't get any bed bugs bites so for two nights it was fine. There was a strong smell of Indian Spices throughout the building.
Cons. When I arrive there were a lot of transients hanging outside It was scary. The room was large with not enough electrical plugs The rooms are old and dated. there was a packet on top of their little coffee pot. It was opened and there was one coffee package. I was there for two days but there was only one packet given. Very noisy dogs barking and yelling and screaming.
Pros. I travel to Boise every few months for work. It's one of the few towns in the Mountain West where I'd been unable to find the "go to" motel. (The options are all of the motels up by the Interstate and the Airport, or the either dirty or overpriced motels closer to downtown that aren't nearly as close The Cabana.)Then a woman I met from Boise told me about the Cabana. She runs a business in Boise and tells her vendors about The Cabana, and for good reason. It's downtown, an easy walk through a clean, renovated, and safe neighborhood to the fun part of Boise. The beds are extremely comfortable, it's clean, they've got great retro furniture, the owners are funny and cool, and you can't beat the price. After I stayed the first night, I went back and stayed the 2nd night. And the money I saved went into some great nearby microbrew! Go Cabana!
Pros. I was on a budget and only needed a place to rest and cleanup in the morning - nothing fancy. And the Cabana Inn was perfect. With a friendly staff, quiet room, and comfy bed, I was a "happy camper."
Cons. I would have preferred lodging closer to I-84 on the outskirts of town, but my budget brought me here. Also, construction downtown made finding the Cabana Inn challenging, but I made it.
