Pros: The breakfast was absolutely amazing, loads of options for vegan and gluten free- and so plentiful it even staved off the need for lunch! The bed was really comfy. It is super clean, cosy, comfortable, quiet and homely. The hosts are friendly, helpful, accommodating and welcoming. They have gone the extra mile to be eco friendly by reducing plastic waste- using refill brands of shampoo, eco loo rolls and little glass bottles of milk instead of single use plastic soya milks. We would love to come back with our little one.

Pros: We loved this charming B&B. The location was excellent, only 3 miles from Brodick, ferry connection to Adrossan on the mainland, Lamlash is an attractive village on the coast with several eating places within easy walking distance. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful and couldn't have done more to make our stay more comfortable. None of us is a vegan but we all thoroughly enjoyed the lavish breakfasts, which were beautifully presented and more than generous. We also appreciated the fresh fruit and little treats in our rooms each night. It was a bonus to have use of the lounge in the evenings and the balcony before breakfast. Many thanks for our stay on the beautiful Isle of Arran.

Pros: The original room we were given was really noisy - near the stairs for all other floors and atvthe start of the corridor on our floor so all other guests had to pass our door. Also you could hear all the footsteps of people in room above. When we raised this the receptionist immediately looked for another room on the top floor which was excellent.
Cons: We were advised that since we haf booked accomodation only we could choose which restaurant to go to for breakfast. However we weren't advised we would need to book it in advance. Have to say though they did accomodate us in the Brambles restaurant with little fuss once explained.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and welcoming, ready to answer questions and help with specific circumstances. They were very willing to help me out, which makes all the difference when in a strange place or on an awkward time schedule, especially when travelling alone. Good choice for breakfast, well equipped, cosy room, and thoughtful provision for guests.
Cons: The directions provided were for guests arriving by car, I was on public transport and then walking, so a different route is better. The bus driver knew where to direct me fortunately, and it was straightforward enough. (Also the same gripe I have with most places I've stayed, however wonderful otherwise, the longlife milk provided for beverages is awful and ruins the drinks, and is generating plastic rubbish. There must be another solution)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hosts. They even set up the lounge for me to watch the Cricket World Cup Final!!! Great breakfasts.
Cons: The rooms are small but comfortable. There is not a lot of eating options within walking distance for dinner however Felicitys was great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: beautiful views from our bedroom window. very quiet, very welcoming.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful wee stay at Viewbank for the weekend by myself. Was greeted by the wonderful hosts that were nothing but kind and very approachable. I had a nice small room with a single bed but it was nice and cozy with an amazing view of the ocean. Breakfast was fantastic, full Scottish the lot! To top it off they have fair trade coffee and it's delicious.
Cons: The only qualm about this great B&B is the quite long hill you have to walk up from the main road. This is however only if you're coming via public transport. So if you have a lot of luggage make sure to get some assistance from them. Believe me, the long walk is worth it though once you see the views.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were nice and the family running it couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Breakfast supurp with plenty of choice to suit all
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome. Beautiful view. Everything we needed. Lovely breakfast selection.
Cons: We didn’t have a car so getting to/from property was tricky. Taxis were difficult to book.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hosts Malcolm and Julie are very welcoming and helpful. They make you feel at home and always be happy to help, to advise you on any inquiry you may have. Big breakfasts with choices served with fresh local ingredients. The house is in Victorian style and very comfy and homey.
Cons: It is up on the hill; it's a little bit of a hike. If you travel with luggage and no vehicle, you'd better make some arrangement with the host. However if you plan your trip for a hike to a waterfall, it is perfect for hikers. The view on the top is fantastic though.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The coast was amazing , the place whiting Bay was quiet , I did relax . Would have liked a bigger window ..... the view was stunning .
Cons: It was up a steep hill , I was on foot , so a big climb up and down every day . Eating was a problem and tended just to snack/ picnic while there . Would not stay again unless I had a driver with me .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was included and food was fab! Its a great location, walking distance to bus stops and Coffee Pot (strongly recommended). Very decent price for a great quality stay.
Cons: It is abit tricky to find the way up to the guesthouse, but there is a sign next to coffee pot

8.3 Excellent
Pros: A little pricey and car parking limited but hotel very clean and. Wi fi good.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: comfy bed
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was all really good. Large super soft towels and quality of toilet paper were excellent. Breakfast wise, you can be highly commended for both the hot plates and hot food, not just lukewarm, which is something seldom encountered with buffet meals.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, comfortable room, good food and facilities, great location. Stayed here a few times and the hotel never disappoints. A really well run establishment. Back again next month
6.8 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, if expensive. Nice pool
Cons: Range of vegetarian food is completely uninspiring and the Greek salad, an inedible (and expensive) plate of chopped tomatoes/cucumber and a couple of lumps of feta floating in oil. Last order for restaurant far too early for a venue so far away from the island's other attractions. As a result of the total lack of atmosphere in the empty bars and public areas, coupled with the poor menu, we were compelled to drive a round trip of some 34 miles each night to dine elsewhere. More attention is needed to ensure that all of the facilities in the rooms work! e.g : TV, hairdryer, cold water tap running hot etc. The young staff and manager were charming but first impressions were marred by the surly/unhelpful receptionist and a reception desk which repeatedly closed an hour earlier than stated.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful especially reception. Great location in Blackwaterfoot
7.0 Good
Pros: Attending an event at Shiskine golf club so it is within walking distance Beds were really comfortable
Cons: £136 for a twin room with breakfast an extra £10 seems overpriced Room acceptable but bathroom small with no shelf or work surface to put toiletries/ toilet bag

Pros: It was very accessible and everyone was friendly from the staff to the visitors
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and dinner were delicious and well presented. comfortable rooms, huge bathroom with quality locally produced toiletries. The owners couldn’t do enough for us. Roaring fire was beautiful as was the outside views and grounds! Amazing stay loved it.
Cons: Room was a little warm but sign in room advised us not to open window due to midges. Not a major issue and in no way affected our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent and the food really top notch. I stayed there when walking the Arran Coastal Way and this hotel was by far the best. It is what Scottish hotels should really aspire to. The others I stayed in were about the same price but way below standard - which is what happens in Scotland: either it is fantastic or it is beyond basic. Can totally recommend the Lagg Hotel - first rate. Will go back for sure.
Cons: Ok so we had a problem with the shower...a million apologies were proffered when one would have done!
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel and staff were good. As was the location.
Cons: The quality of the food and the total amenities did not justify the high cost and compared with the previous night's stay in another hotel was substantially more expensive and not as good quality on every aspect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, great food, excellent service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The chef is superb, the owners responsive and friendly, the location is beautiful.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was a lovely old one and the decor Matched it. The outside our window was brilliant with a beautiful brook with the lovely sounds of water flowing so peaceful. The owner was nice and so helpful as was his staff. We eat there the first night and the food was excellent one of the best fish and chips we had . The breakfast once again was very good with a nice choice of cereals , juice and fruit, the cook breakfast was great. Overall A Great Stay.
Cons: I lost the room key it had a key ring holder that was made of leather with the the Lagg hotel on it , we were charged £32.00 for the lost we thought this was over the top . It the owner choice to put a expensive leather key holder on so I don’t think guests should have to pay for that , keys get lost in hotel all the time poor end to a lovely stay

I'll definitely be back to stay again.
Cons: Very small point: My room was a bit hot but to be fair a fan was provided and it did face the sun most of the day. Ask for one at the front of hotel maybe for a cooler room.

Pros: The food was excellent
Cons: A bit short staffed. Wifi was poor.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is very good. Comfortable hotel.
Cons: Meal service and quality. The hotel seems to be understaffed and at times I was under the impression that I had transformed into the invisible man. One evening dish was inedible. This is a problem because there is not much else available in Lamlash unless you have booked well in advance.

Cons: Nothing really
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, the staff were fantastic, great breakfast, room had everything I needed except perhaps a fan (it was very warm).
Cons: The room was really hot. A little desk fan would have helped. I can’t imagine they get lots of days so warm as when I stayed but the room was stifling.
7.5 Good
Pros: the views
Cons: now have to make your own toast for breakfast.no yoghurt plus selection of fruit thrown onto tray for residents to sift through.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: My family of 10, two grandparents, two children, and four grandchildren stayed here, and it was the perfect place: beautiful view, delicious breakfast, lovely patio overlooking Holy Isle for a late afternoon glass if wine before dinner, and then a delicious dinner. 8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location and sea view
Cons: The room was tiny and at topi establishment with no lift (my mobility made the stairs difficult!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although the hotel is on the main route round the island, night time is totally quiet and peaceful. I woke to the sound of the tide lapping on pebbles outside. We liked all of the staff, who were easy going and professional. Breakfast was exceptional. Corrie is a beautiful location, right at the start of one of the routes to Goatfell and Sannox is just to the north with an easier walking route through Glen Sannox.
Cons: We expected to be billed for £80 as we had booked online at that price but my partner told me afterwards that there was £5 extra to pay, and we didn't find out the reason.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great craic from the staff. Can recommend the fish and chips.
Cons: Coffee at breakfast - what kind of monsters serve instant?!?

7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is in an easy to find location right on the main road. Good views of the sea. Lovely breakfast. Nice bar area and outside space to sit in and chill out. The bed was comfortable and I had a good night sleep. The staff were friendly.
Cons: The upstairs of the hotel is looking a bit tired and scruffy. Our room had carpet that looked like a pet had dug it up trying to get out of the door. The shower could have been cleaner. It had that pink bathroom scum around the bottom runner of the shower door. Down the sides of the bannister on the stairway up need a good clean too.

Pros: Anne is a fabulous host and makes the best Scottish breakfast ever.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location very near the sea and easy to walk into Lamlash. The room was very clean and comfortable with a nice en-suite bathroom. We also liked the large selection of board games.
Cons: There is a dog who doesn’t like people with rucksacks. I’m nervous around dogs and never go out without a rucksack, so this wasn’t ideal, but the owner was pretty good at keeping it out of the way. Some more veggie options at breakfast would have been nice too (eg veggie sausages), rather than just the regular breakfast with the meat removed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, friendly host, freshly cooked breakfast, like staying with friends.
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean and tidy room. Good location in Lamlash.
Cons: Beds were a bit soft. Breakfast was basic. No wifi connection on first day as we were given the incorrect password. Initial greeting wasn't as welcoming as it could have been.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bed was so comfortable that it was hard to get up in the mornings! Anne has a dog and a cat, which I loved, and the location of her home is in a very quiet neighborhood that's a short, beautiful walk from town. I felt very relaxed and comfortable here and hope to come back.
Cons: I had a little trouble getting the shower to work, but since there was a tub I just took baths. It wasn't a huge problem for me.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean & comfortable, lounge with tv & DVD was useful for the evening.
Cons: Kitchen in the main house is locked, you have to use the (very nicely equipped) Cook hut behind the lodge. Wouldn’t have been great on a bad weather day and would have been better if this was stated eg we would have brought tea towels with us had we known. (Clean & plenty of cutlery & plates & washing up liquid etc plus lots of fridge storage & seating - all good)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed. Great location in beautiful Lamlash. Grounds well kept, clean and groomed. Shared kitchen is amazing, modern and clean Cot bed was impressive.
Cons: The bathroom although clean was a little fusty smelling and we couldn't really open the window as I hate all things flying and crawling so my own fault but maybe new flooring would be useful (think this was the source of the smell)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Despite a wedding at the Lodge and scooter enthusiasts in Lamlash, the huts were surprisingly quiet at night. Also, I was able to come and go as I chose. The views were spectacular and to my surprise, the weather was phenomenal. Previously, I've had a soaking on Arran.
Cons: I had to buy some bleach in Lamlash because the toilet smelled a little strong in the heat. The pillows weren't comfortable, I'm afraid. The climb up to the huts was very steep in the heat, too. The shore road is far more busy with car traffic than I would've anticipated so you've got to be observant. One wedding guest drove at some speed up to the Lodge without expecting pedestrians, I think. I tidied up carefully but had a lot to carry and left a water bottle behind. Sorry!
5.8 Okay
Pros: no breakfast supplied, location was good.
Cons: it was ideal for our visit. there was nothing we disliked.
8.0 Excellent

6.8 Good
Pros: Nice location and setting.
Cons: Wifi not working No place to buy drinks - they could have a great bar and shop there.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Bed was comfy, rooms very basic. WiFi poor quality, tv only works in room 7 on Netflix but only suit programmes on Netflix.
Cons: Poor WiFi, tv not working properly in room 7
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Every thing you need.Great cook house with all you need to make your own meals fridge freezer etc. Very modern and spotless. Staff friendly and very helpful and its great that if you have a dog it can also be there with you.
Cons: couldn't really fault it at all. The only thing would probably be that if its good weather and people are sitting outside of there cabin you can hear them if you are trying to sleep but people seem to be very respectful and it was quiet after 10pmish.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff with a real buzz and knowledge of the area, clean and really comfortable accommodation, close to all local facilities, walks and the shore, stayed here a couple of times now and would defo go back and will be back again!
Cons: Nothing, it was ideal for what I was looking for and needed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The surroundings were magnificent and checking in and out was very slick.
Cons: The room was a very small double, a bit too cosy and very warm, radiator in bathroom burning hot and no visible means of turning it off
