10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff on arrival. Great secure parking for the motorbike. We had a room on the first floor. The room was lovely and very large. The bed was comfortable and everywhere was lovely and clean. The bathroom was great. There is an onsite restaurant which serves lovely food and has great friendly staff. Breakfast here was very good with a great choice. The smoked salmon was lovely. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the longest castle in the world. It was well worth a visit but standing on top of the tower with a thunder storm going on around you wasn't a good idea lol The views were fantastic though. Another great find and one to keep on the list in case we are in the area again.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.

Pros: This hotel exceeded all my expectations! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel in general looked clean and pretty modern. Also our room was spacious and very comfortable which was especially enjoyable after a long day visiting the surrounding area. The hotel is conveniently located near Burghausen's castle and old town which was very nice! The hotel had a lovely spa area and I got a great foot massage. The restaurant at the hotel had delicious German food and the waiter was very friendly. Breakfast was also pretty amazing - a lot of choice and tasty food. Overall we had a very positive experience with this hotel (parking was free which was a plus for us) and really great value for the money we paid. Highly recommend and will definitely stay there again in the future!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The concierge Stefans was super friendly and helpful. The housekeeping was spotless and thoroughly done. Old Town and the lake are just a 5-minute walk away. The room was spacious and even had a veranda. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Burghausen is a peaceful, quaint, and beautiful town.
Cons: It was my first time to Germany, so I didn’t know there would be no airconditioning. Also, there is no refrigerator in the hotel room, but one available for everyone to use in the lobby.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: the location- the Alstadt is awesome and all areas of Burghausen are easily accessible from there The old flair
Cons: Maybe a lift for the third floor
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Luxury room with reasonable price. Use 5 mins Across Austria.
Cons: A little far from train station.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are comfortable and modern, and our room had a balcony with a great view of the Burghausen castle. There is easy access to the walking trail along the Salzach river from the hotel, and it's only a short 1km walk into the Burghausen old town square. Breakfast was delicious.
Cons: A mini fridge in the hotel room would have been handy to have.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The entire hotel and the rooms were very cosy, combining a traditional "flaire" with simple but modern design. The boxspring beds were very comfortable, the showers spacieous and the balcony offered a view onto the Burghausen Castle. Most of all: it was very clean and tidy! Breakfast buffest, even though it was all handled by only one employee, was both in terms of selection and quality a real delight! Even more so, since the interior of the bright and roomy dining room was exceptionally charming!
Cons: There really isn't anything to dislike! Perhaps in summer time it may get hot because I did not notice any air conditioning. Maybe some travellers might find the very low number of staff peculiar and the fact that reception is not available 24/7 but for example beverages in the evenings are to be taken from the bar fridge on your own while filling in a check list with a pencil. But at the end of the day, this is a 3 star hotel and therefore my rating takes the hotel standard into consideration and under these conditions it is exceptional!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly and helpful proprietor. Quiet location. Nice beer garden
Cons: Nil.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every once in a while while bicycling through Europe we come upon a hotel / restaurant that far exceeds the others that we have stayed at over the past twenty years and a least 600 other hotels and restaurants. This was one of those places . The owner / managers , a young couple were amazingly friendly and helpful . The gentleman and his son actually took the time , about 30 minutes , to help me fix a problem that I was having with my bike . This little town has a population of about 300 and is very picturesque and clean . The actual hotel and restaurant appear quite old with a lot of character . However, this age is not carried over inside. Our room , #4, was vary clean and rivaled a lot of the Marriotts and Hilton’s that we have stayed in for modern bathroom with toiletries , great storage space and a very comfortable and bright bedroom . The breakfast was filling and had many food choices . The on-site restaurant was full of great memorabilia and very interesting decor . The food choices were great , diverse and with a very reasonable price point . We told the owners that we would be back within the year on our bicycles to spend a few more days there . Really great experience . Can’t wait to stay there again . A place for good memories

Pros: The girl on at breakfast was friendly, all the others verging on rude. The room was very large.
Cons: The wi fi did not work at all during our 2 day stay. The plumbing worked but made a real racket, TV didn't work as remote control batteries were dead. 9.2 Excellent
Pros: Historical setting; extremely quiet. Excellent staff and great restaurant
4.6 Okay
Pros: Very nice rustic town, very clean and relaxing to walk about
Cons: Well big list of issues.. But guess the biggest issue was during the heat wave we had, after spent 150 Euro for the night. We then had to pay 5.40 euro for a 0.75ml bottle of water for the room. Extortion. And the hotel takes full advantage of it's lack of competition.

Reception is on 1st floor, no lifts. Restaurant is on ground floor. Friendly staff. Large rooms, particularly the one facing the front with views of the main square. The back one had a view of the castle behind the hotel. Generous breakfast, available early for us, was a great touch. We had dinner at Bichl, very friendly cafeteria / restaurant at the end of the pedestrian lane (through massive city gate). Good food, reasonable prices, very busy - book in advance if you can. Will come back here if in the area.
Cons: The hotel is an old building: be prepared to lug suitcases around!

Pros: Very friendly staff, most of whom spoke good English. We happened to stay on a Sunday night during their 'beer festival' on a public holiday. They had a traditional band playing and plenty of beer on offer. We sat outside and the food was excellent! Waiting staff great, and it was a highlight of our holiday. We were offered a garage to securely park our motorbike in which was a really nice addition. Breakfast was very good. Lots on offer and a nice lady cooked us some fresh scrambled eggs and bacon! Room was nice, good size, clean and we had a good night's sleep. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a real charming place for even longer stays. Fantastic choice in breakfast. Scrambled eggs were super. The restaurant serves a large variety of foods - traditional german, bayern and classic. Ample choice & good beer on top. A church is right next door - during the daylight hours the church bells ring but are silent during the night time (a plus point!) The family room was very large and windows were covered with fine mesh to keep insects out.
Cons: The place is accessible but only upto 2nd floor.

7.9 Good
Pros: Central location, v nice traditional German hotel, very nice buffet breakfast. Lovely pool.
Cons: Lack of air-conditioning made the room uncomfortable to sleep in on a hot night. Disappointed that we were given a sales-pitch on arrival to try and get us to upgrade to a room with air-con (and sauna) in the slightly bizarre modern building opposite for an extra €20. We only found out about secure underground (cooler) parking late in the evening. We would have paid for it if it was offered to us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious and had a sauna, which we enjoyed a lot. The breakfast was very delicious and had many options with different fruits, cereals, cakes, bread, spreads and good coffee. The restaurant in the hotel is also very good.
Cons: Everything was really nice. But the description of the room on booking.com was telling that the room had sauna AND whirlpool so we went there expecting it. But in fact we had to choose between a room with sauna or a room with whirlpool. Not a big problem, but I think the description should be updated.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely, the staff polite and friendly. I felt at home, checking in and out was extremely easy. I will definitely be staying there next time I'm in Altötting. Thank you all
Cons: I did alot of exploring and often came back late, I felt it was extremely dark around the hotel which made me nervous. Maybe look into lighting the side entrance/beer garden alittle bit.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: i liked the sauna in the room , the theme of the room was excellent (circus room) all the people were nice and helpfull . pool was also a nice break in the evening to bur the dinner.
Cons: restaurant could have more healthy options , i know its Bavaria and i know the food is great , but some buckwheat , or brown rice as a substitute for french fries would be nice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Upon arrival there was a confusing situation, Booking haven't forwarded my reservation. The Hotel was fully booked, but, they've managed in no time to reorganize things, so I got a 3 bed room.. Dinner was cheap and very tasty! Staff was very knowledgeable about city history, gave me a voucher for cheaper access to the Church Panorama tour!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of choice, fresh fruit, freshly made bread and cakes. Cheeses, cold meats. Excellent spread. Good English Breakfast tea with cold milk and a tea pot, and boiling water. Unusual outside the UK.
Cons: Nothing, it was fabulous.
7.1 Good
Pros: Ability to put bags in room early in the morning was good. Size of room was good, but all the mirrors were offputting.
Cons: It was very very noisy late at night with a party near by and early in the morning with all the activity on the street, double glazing didn't work very well. I couldn't believe the noise for a little town.

Pros: Lovely big room with a terrace and table and chairs (room 8). Beautiful bathroom with exposed brickwork and huge comfy bed and pillows. Great location in the old town by the river. Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Modern with everything we needed for our stay. Staff at the restaurant across the street (the hotel check in spot) were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: It was confusing to check in at a different location across the street and maybe we missed the communication about that. Not a big deal but caused a bit of worry at first.

The amenities are nice and satisfactory. The breakfast is always very good as a lot of kinds of foods are prepared especially half boiled egg, ham, bread, fruits and teas. The heater in the bath room is very convenient for me to hang some wares whch I have washed...f^-^;

10.0 Excellent
