The location is great, five minutes from Tahrir Square, downtown Cairo. The place is old, on the seventh floor, with an elevator that seems to be "dying", although it moves. The breakfast was delivered to the room by a smiling lady, simple but tasty, with the greatest coffee. The room was simple, quite dated but clean, so was the bathroom. Service with a smile!
It is quite dated, very simple, needs major overhaul. Bathroom clean but very old.

Location is good. Staff are nice.
1) Photos don't show reality. 2) Old Building - Elevators very old/bad and sometimes do not work 3) Breakfast was not at All up to the acceptable level. 4) Neither was there restaurant nor the room is designed for dining in.

This is simply the best place to stay in Cairo. It’s in a very well located area, near the subway station, a lot of shops, the National Museum and good restaurants. The rooms are very clean and have a good space. The staff is very friendly and helpful, wonderful people. The owner is simply the best person we met in Cairo: helped us with everything he could, very receptive and friendly person. He organized a trip in the same day with us to the desert because we had little time to do it and it was perfect. He also helped us to buy things we needed for traveling, with our plane tickets and train, presenting us a new perspective of the city and the people. We have no words to describe how grateful we are to mr. Khalid for all he done to us. I really recommend this place to stay in Cairo if you want to have a pleasant time in the town.
I’ve read a negative review about the building and just want to say that I’ve been in other hotels in Cairo and all hotels in the central area are located inside comercial buildings (not considering the bigs five stars hotels) and comparing this hotels to the others we knew in town, this is way more better then others when talking about the building structure, elevators and the rooms.
