Pros: Amazing staff , super clean and modern hotel , great spa

Pros: A lot of small touches made the stay special, for example cava on arrival. Outstanding breakfast beautifully presented every day included local food and drinks. Worth going just for that! Swimming pool in hotel very relaxing and nearby olimpic swimming pool great to exercise.

Pros: It was our first visit to Calella (mid August) so we picked up that hotel based only on the location, reviews and overall high score – no regrets. Quiet and convenient location, 4 min walk to the endless beach (two sun lounges&umbrella – EUR15), lots of mini-markets nearby, a big dining area with plenty of various cafes and restaurants is within 5 min walk, no noise from the railroad running along the seashore or the main road on top of the hill (the only noisy disturbance was from a hotel’s pool next door, where families with kids seemed to spend all days long). Very helpful and unintrusive personnel, inviting atmosphere. Breakfast had a bit of everything with minor varieties every day. Iron and an ironing board are provided very quickly upon request. A couple of times coffee, tea and bath amenities were not replaced but that was promptly fixed after a call. Unfortunately we didn’t have a chance/time to check their Silence Spa & Wellness Center next door but the huge swimming pool looks impressive. There is also a small outdoor pool at the hotel with umbrellas and sun loungers, pool/beach towels are provided. 10/10 would stay again!

Pros: Well, the hotel is quite high-tech - with all these fingerprint-activated locks and elevators.

Cons: 1. Funny thing occurred during the check-in when we’ve proceeded to the payment - somehow the sum charged in the bill was 400€ more, than it should be. When I’ve mentioned it to the administrators, they’ve discussed smth in Spanish and then the price was corrected, but I wonder, what could happen if I didn’t notice? And no one even apologize for the mistake. 2. They position themselves as 5* hotel, but when on the 3rd day I’ve asked - are they going to replace the bath amenities (gel/shampoo) with the full ones - they were surprised a lot and told, that that should be done only on request (I wonder, how could be 2 bottles of shampoo/gel enough for 2 ppl more than for one day?). Brought new ones only after i gave them a second call few hours later. 3. There are no bathrobes in rooms. 4. The parking is a lil bit scammy - it costs 12 € day in the building nearby, but the thing is that I’ve parked at 3 pm and took the car around 4 pm on next day, but they’ve charged it as for 2 days. 5. Cleaning service just simply ignores the DND led when it’s lit on a door of the room. 6. Conditioner spontaneously turned off but itself during the nightsleep - so you wake up around 2 am cause it’s freaking hot in a room and there’s not enough air.

Pros: We spent an amazing weekend in this beautiful hotel. Spa was exceptional!

Pros: Wonderful boutique hotel! Friendly staff, modern and clean rooms, excellent breakfast, and we made use of the terrific spa down the block. We really enjoyed our stay here in Calella.

Pros: We loved this little hotel. Location was great being right in the heart of Calella yet quiet at night. The pool area was fantastic the pool being the cleanest we have ever seen. Lovely warm water too. We did not have breakfast as it was continental and we prefered a cooked one. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was very modern and clean.

Cons: Not a great lot needs doing to improve this hotel any better.

Pros: The coffee was very nice but we did not have breakfast as we fancied a cooked meal to last us through the day. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The location was great we had two rooms one overlooking the street (still very quiet at night and cooler because not to much sun) and the other overlooking the pool ( more sun but very quiet at night time) both had lovely clean and modern bathrooms. The hotel felt very safe and so convenient for shops and restaurants and only 5 minutes to the beach. Would defiantly stay there again if in Calella. Bye the way the pool area was fantastic.

I had a bad fall in the town when I was there, and after treatment at the hospital, the staff at the hotel always made sure I was ok, helped when needed and asked how I was everyday. I also worked here 30 years ago and i won’t be leaving it that long to go back that’s for sure - thank you all

Pros: Continental breakfast available and this was adequate for us. The location was excellent, very close to the town centre but not very noisy. Our room and bathroom had both recently been refurbished so no complaints there. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Definitely would go back again.

Cons: Some of the communal areas were a bit dirty, the corridors and the jacuzzi area. The modern design of having the toilet in the middle of the room created some problems. The glass door and movement sensor light were incompatible. Pool area was small for a large hotel.

Cons: The cleaning of the hotel is very disappointing. We found quite a lot of hair on the toilet floor and even ants in the room because there were bread crumbs left at the corner. At the spa changing room, we even saw a cockroach on the floor. I have never experienced this in a hotel. The breakfast selection is wide but the quality is low.

Pros: Modern room and facilities - we especially appreciated the black out blinds. Friendly staff. Pool and deckchairs were super relaxing. Close proximity to the beach and town.

Cons: Bed was uncomfy (thin mattress so we felt the springs). We also had issues with the design of the bathroom in that the light comes on automatically and the bathroom door is opaque, meaning it wakes everyone up if someone gets up to use the bathroom in the night. Also I wouldn’t recommend eating at the restaurant - the seafood didn’t taste fresh and everything was a bit beige.

Pros: Spacious apartment,spacious shower. Everything was clean, with enough towels and toulet paper:) Electric kettle,stove and microwave was of good use. Even bigger fridge was great. Air conditioning was strong and distributed:) Very nice and helpfull stuff. Safe was there (for a fee 3€/day).

Cons: No toaster, washing machine and no oven. We stayed just one day,but for longer stay I would miss it. Ee did not have place to dry our bathing suits, some small cord would be nice.

Pros: Clean and modern and the owners are a younger family and fantastic. The bar down stairs is spotless and the beer and food are very good. There is a private car park but you pay extra. Bearing in mind location it is well worth the peace of mind and severe lack of local parking.

Pros: Location is perfect in a quiet street only 5 minute walk to the commercial street and the beach. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived until we left. Hotel has everything you could need. We only had one breakfast and one dinner in the hotel while staying, both we great and good value. Was pleasantly surprised that the room was cleaned and towels changed every day, was not expecting this as it is a apartment. Would definitely return to stay here again.

Cons: Very hard to find any faults. Only thing would be the pool is a little on the small side but perfectly manageable. This seems to be the norm with the hotels in Calella.

Pros: The most helpful and friendly staff in the world. There is no problem they couldnt solve. Rooms are very clean, towels changed everyday.

Pros: We had a good sized apartment for the 5 people in the group, two bedrooms plus a pull out in the living area. Kitchen was useful though rarely used as we ate in the hotel every day. Pool was a good size and generally not overly busy. Liked the location a short walk from the beach and variety of good quality shops. We were half board and ate in the hotel every evening for a week without getting bored - plenty of quality food for adults and simpler stuff for kids.

Cons: Pull out bed was a bit squeaky due to the mattress and the covers were not quite big enough for the bed so would come off in the night.

Pros: Clean renovated rooms with good bath and toilet equipment. Everyday room cleaning. A large variety of delicious food (including seafood) in the restaurant. Fresh juices on breakfast. Although there was a railway station under our window, the train noise wasn't disturbing.

Cons: The swimming pool is small and shadowed. They don't serve still water for free in a restaurant, whereas it is free in almost every restaurant in Spain. Most fruits were unripe and hard (except for watermelon), raw vegetables were also not very tasty.

Cons: Bad reception work. 2 days beforehand we asked for luchboxes for the early check-out. The receptionist told us we would have small served breakfast at lobby at needed time instead of lunchboxes. When we came down, there was nobody at the reception and the entrance doors were closed, so we could ‘t leave the hotel. I have found the reception number at booking web-site and started calling, trying to wake up somebody. Finally the security had came and told us there was no information about our breakfast and there was no reception personnel at that early time. I am very upset with such a service at 4* hotel, also asked for breakfasts refund at the hotel web-site and still receive no answer. Looks like hotel is quite popular and is not that much interested for the same guests to come back again.

Pros: I liked a lot the services from the hotel. Nice swimming pool, quiet and not crowded. The staff was simply to nice, sympathetic and attentiveness.

Cons: The only thing I did not like were the surrounding of the hotel. Not in the town center and the trail rails were between the hotel and the beach, making us having to walk 10/15 mins for getting to the beach or the city center. It is through though that the train rails crosse the entire town.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms and good choice of food. Great service in the restaurant too. We had a modern room overlooking the pool and with sea view. Nice pool area with loungers and table-tennis. Beach Club worth a visit to relax and eat lunch.

Cons: Pool was quite small and shallow but was never crowded. Limited parking in the narrow streets, better to arrive by train as station is opposite the hotel (minimal disturbance). Not much to do for children other than the pool table and table tennis.

Cons: The room first of all didn't match the expectation compare with the advertising on the booking site ! Was very small for a triple room ,the beds not comfortable , no smoking area that was on the street outside hostal Bonavista and the parking space that was a big issue as we went with the car !!!

Pros: Excellent, helpful and friendly staff. Close vicinity to the beach (ca. 7-10 minute walk), train station and the main shopping street. Well-equipped supermarket (Consum) just round the corner. Air-conditioned rooms are awesome in this climate. Tasty breakfasts, although you shouldn't expect caviar and truffles - toast bread, rolls, cookies, ham, cheese, jam, yoghurt, cereals, hot sausages, boiled eggs, a variety of juices + superb coffee machine.

Pros: The breakfast was a comprehensive continental one. with lots of choices foe tea, bread or pastries. The serving time is very flexible. The hotel is situated near to the beach and shopping areas.

Pros: This hostel is perfect for staying in Calella. We had a good breakfast, clean rooms with towel changes every morning. Not to mention the bar with lower prices than in other places. Furthermore, the staff was very helpful with anything we needed and even helped us to book the tours that we wanted.

Pros: The Pension is run by an amazing family ladies, very welcoming and responsive! They also run a restaurant and it was so great to have a breakfast, dinner or just a cup of coffee sitting there with the street view. The location is great. Less than 5 minutes walk to the beach, not more than 15 minutes to the railway station. It is located on the main street and you can access all the shops, bars, banks and anything else you need very easy.

Cons: I was missing a hairdryer once and there is no ventilator or air condition in the room, so during the summer time it might be hot inside. I'd also recommend to fix the shower holder, but besides that I loved staying in this place so much I didn't ever complain :)

Pros: I wanted to stay somewhere rustic, comfortable and scenic with my 2 daughters 16 and 17, the camping bungalow was perfect, our site was wonderful and Calella is so safe and accessible, the walk to the beach was so near, we had a wonderful holiday together, away from the crowds it really was just what we wanted, being able to sit outside, cook dinner if we wanted was so enjoyable! The staff were very friendly, my daughters did find the Wifi challenging it didn't worry me! I will definitely be back!

Cons: The disabled lift wasn’t working to get a wheelchair/ pushchair down to pool area it was blocked off by tables and chairs , meant we had to lift manually, pool wasn’t big enough for the size of hotel , only 8 sun beds had to wait till one was empty and there was 6 of us

Pros: The staff were helpful and polite. Several of the young ladies spoke English and could help us with directions etc. The apartment did have a beautiful patio which we took advantage of. The main hotel itself was very nice, the lobby was beautiful and the pool area was lovely.

Cons: Unfortunately for us the hotel allowed some clients to put their motorcycles in the lobby outside our apartment. We complained several times, the smell of gasoline and the danger they represented but to no avail. We were told that the manager had made an exception because the owners of the bikes did not want to leave them outside and the inside parking for the hotel was full. Well we had to find alternate parking for our rental car so why couldn't they do the same. The apartment Titanic that we were in, the smaller bathroom is in serious need of upgrading. The shower stall had mildew all along the edges. The larger bathroom was better it looked like it had been upgraded recently, but the shower and tub were not without black on the edges. The picture I have included is of the lobby of our building which is across the street of the main hotel.

Cons: Don’t take bicycles, if someone stole them, even if it’s not your fault, you’ll pay for it

Pros: The apartment were in a great location, the atmosphere was lovely. Could be a little noisy as there was a lot of teenagers staying. I had to stay an extra week because I was taken ill and couldn't fly, they found a room in the hotel for us and helped in anyway they could. The suroundings by the pool were lovely the hotel restaurant was excellent very enjoyable food a great choice. I would definatley go again.

Cons: My only complaint was that there were no hooks on the doors to hang towels. They hoped that you wouldn't request clean towels every day but there was no where to dry them. I think that would help save the environment and money. When we were at the hotel there were no tea and coffee making facility in the hotel room. All round though loved it.

It's quiet even though it's in the centre of town and 5 minutes walk to the beach. We had an apartment and would recommend the Hotel and Apartments very good value for money.

Cons: The walls are very thin and it can get really noisy in the mornings.

Pros: The staff were great, good was also very nice and was only a very short walk to all the bars and restaurants. We were upgraded to half board which was a really nice touch.

Pros: Modern, clean, bright, friendly and helpful staff and lovely food. Great hotel.

Cons: It’s surrounded by noisier hotels so noise can be an issue.

Pros: Breakfast buffet had many choices, Papa's bar across the street was very convenient and served food from 10am til late. Pool was small but clean, plenty of sunbeds by the pool.

Cons: Our bathroom had a funny sewage smell. It was a bit far from the main shopping district in town (10min walk, or a taxi from train station), but this was not a deal breaker for us.

Cons: The sound of water dripping in the bathroom. We don’t feel this property is 4 stars, we would say 3.

Pros: Lovely room and even lovelier bathroom with a fabulous glass sink and large walk-in shower.

Cons: Reception staff took a little while to acknowledge two of us at the counter when they were not dealing with other guests and did not ask us about our stay or say goodbye when we checked out.

Pros: We had a superior disabled room and it was great. Plenty of room, walk in shower, comfortable bed, slippers and bathroom gown. Great view as we where on a high floor.

Cons: The problem was that the checkout was at 10 whereas normally the checkouts are at 12 , it is not reasonable to checkout before you have your breakfast, it made us uncomfortable to leave so fast , because we didn’t know about this and also the breakfast was till 10 which is very early when you are on vacation

Cons: Some aspects of the rooms looked a bit old, although in general it was ok.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food delicious and the rooms were very big and comfortable. The hotel was kept very neat and tidy. The selection of drinks available to all-inclusive guests was more than adequate as well. When we arrived we received vouchers for a free glass of cava or cocktail of the day each and one hour in the private sauna/Jacuzzi to enjoy at any time during our stay.

Cons: The mattrass was pretty hard and caused me to wake up with a sore back each morning, my husband did not have any issues with it however.

Pros: The room was a reasonable size with a comfortable bed and good pillows. The bathroom worked fine although a shaving/makeup mirror would have been a nice touch. We had half board and were very pleased with the selection of foods available.

Cons: Unfortunately the patio doors were ill fitting and as we faced the road we suffered from bar noise and party goers until about 5am particularly bad at the weekend. It was a shame as we have stayed in this part of Calella several times before and not been bothered.

Cons: You should be aware about the nightclubs next to hotel. Especially when you have street view.
