This building is very quaint... Built in the 12th century. Nice to photograph but not to stay in. Very small room. No air conditioning. No shower. Poor internet. There is a modern holiday inn next door where I wound up. Spare yourself the hassle unless on a backpacking budget and just stay there...
Location next to a ralway station & close to a busy road, also a major building works adjacent the hotel. the weather was very hot (30c). As there was no air conditioning doors & windows were left open during the day, this meant there was dust everywhere and it was noisy at night due to the busy road
Close to our final destination, good access by road and rail, very helpful staff, understanding of our need to leave early, but call back later to use facilities, loads of parking, lovely old chapel next door,
Had not booked us in, but did still have room for us, door lock was dodgy, evening meal expensive for what it was and greasy chips, real ale in poor condition, no mention of a new hotel being constucted in the carpark, standard of room was clean but very old fixture and fiitings, very close railway line.
Rooms need updating a bit smelly and food poor
Given the age of the property, it certainly has plenty of atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Both dinner and breakfast were very good.
The rooms are starting to show their age, and it's quite an expensive property for what you get. Having said that, it's in a great location.
Very clean and tidy staff very friendley
That breakfast was not include
We booked this break to visit to Imperial War Musuem and Autumn Airshow which was very close and convenient. Quaint old Hotel with a lot of charm. Our twin room was a little on the small side but very clean. Staff were very attentive. Food good though a bit expensive.
A lot of road noise from A505
very friendly staff , very close to station which was great as i had to get to london and leave the car (free) at the hotel the next day. room small but clean. very close to Duxford air museum
shower didint work , could have been finger trouble, bit noisy forst thing in the morning as theres a council depot next door
Large room and good breakfast. Service friendly.
Very tired decor - rather over-priced for the quality.
