Pros (+) I've stayed in the Carlsbad Days Inn many times when I travel there to visit aging family. I've always had a pleasant stay and the staff has always been very polite and eager to please. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and we enjoy the breakfast.
Cons (-) I know that the prices in Carlsbad are pretty expensive because of all the growth and the oil boom. I'm sure that all the hotels stay within a certain price range, but it gets harder to find a hotel I can afford every time I travel to Carlsbad since I'm on a fixed income. Kayak has always given me affordable prices with no hidden charges.
