My family and I really enjoyed our stay at LegoLand in Carlsbad. Both the location and surrounding areas are beautiful. The breakfast buffet was actually good. A very kid centric place but also geared towards the parents. There is a planned activity for the kids each night as well as a treasure hunt. There is a bar in the Dragon's Den (Joshua made perfect Mojito's). The room was spectacular, In my room there was a king sized bed, it was pretty comfortable. In my son's area (separate from parent area), there were three beds, he picked a new bed each night. Each day housekeeping replenished the coffee, water, and apple juice (complimentary each day of stay). Parking was reasonable, $24 per day. The hotel is close to the beach and some really scenic areas. We will be staying there again in the future. If going for several days look into the Go! San Diego pass (tickets to various attractions in the area). Also, staying at the hotel gives you early access to the theme park.
There isn't much to complain about. The only thing that comes to mind is that there wasn't a microwave in the room. This is more of a regulatory thing than anything else. I understand why there wasn't one in the room. There is one on each floor near the ice maker. The other hotel I stayed at didn't have one at all.
Staff were super nice and place had everything for kids just great
Confusing if you stay at castle hotel or regular one
The property was clean, entertaining and accommodating to be next door to Legoland. We would go back again! My five year old son had a blast!
At the hotel registration, an Asian lady was trying her hardest to communicate with me, but it was hard to understand her. She tried her best and was friendly but I couldn’t understand her well. I’m Mexican American and I know how hard it is to be understood, but I just couldn’t understand her and she couldn’t understand me. Eventually everything worked out great. But overall the workers were great!
Room was not clean Bed was not clean Hair and dusty Bathroom was dirty
The whole experience was excellent. Kids had a great time
Legoland Hotel is conveniently located at the main entrance of Legoland California, a popular park that is especially geared to entertain families with children ages 2 to 12, or any with a love of LEGOs. Guests that stay at the hotel have an option of different themed rooms, including LEGO friends, pirate, adventure, kingdom, and LEGO NINJAGO. The fun can begin earlier each day as guests also receive early access to the park after enjoying a free buffet breakfast at Bricks Family Restaurant. There are also two other dining options, including the Mini's Lounge and Skyline Cafe, along with dining options inside the park, including City Park Crêperie, Ninja Kitchen, Ocean Journey Cafe, and Knights' Smokehouse BBQ.
There are many amenities to enjoy at Legoland Hotel, including an outdoor heated pool, poolside cabanas, video arcade, complimentary 24-hour fitness center, gift shop, Wi-Fi, and nightly children's activities, including building competitions, character meet and greets, dance parties, and more. Each room includes a bucket of LEGOs to play with while visiting and an in-room treasure hunt that leads to a special surprise. In addition, children can take part in minifigure trading and interactive LEGO features, including a giant pit of LEGOs and the castle play area.
Although the Legoland Hotel and park have plenty to see and do, there are also other attractions nearby, including Carlsbad Premium Outlets, GIA Museum, South Carlsbad State Beach, Batiquitos Lagoon, and the Miniature Engineering Craftsmanship Museum. Families will thoroughly enjoy a visit to the Legoland California Resort with its hotels and park, located 30 minutes from San Diego and one hour from Anaheim.
