The rooms were excellent. The breakfast as well, but very pricy.
The staff welcomed us and helped us with anything we wished. The hotel was so ideal we stayed a second night.
Nice small modern hotel. Great pool-area and SPA. Very close to Beach. Nice rooms. Good free safe garage in hotel. Some problem to communicate in English. A little too far from other restaurants/cafes and village-center.
A modern, well designed hotel, beautifully appointed with family friendly management but somehow 'lacked a soul'. The expensive breakfast and lack of a central bar possibly contributed to this.
the location, staff courtesy, facilities rooms too cramprd for comfort; inadequate storage space for 4+days stay
Functional and minimalist Very poor reception on arrival No attempt whatever to make welcome or offer drinks or somewhere to wait until our room was ready. Thereafter service was satisfactory
I was clean, modern, comfortable with a nice pool, excellent showers and very quiet, within easy reach of lorient airport for air travellers. It was expensive, 140 euro for a double room, not in high season and breakfast not included (this was 20 euro extra, per person for continental breakfast!)
The people were absolutely very friendly The room was so small that we could not stay there for 7 days, which we booked so we left the next day. A lot of money for a very small room .The balcony too and there was wood in front so you could not see through it. Awful. It also was a long way from the center and there was not a restaurant, cafe, bar or terrace in the neighbourhood.
The Hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff were welcoming and ever-helpful. The design is modern and attractive with the theme carrried through consistently to every last detail. The pool. sauna and steam rooms were excellent. The TV in our room was better than any other hotel I have stayed in recently. I also liked the free Internet access. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and woukd use this hote again. I think the mainconcern that guests may have is with the cost of breakfast which was 18 euros per person. There was plenty of choice and the quality was good. I can only observe that the cost was typical for the locality and was not the most expensive. However, I would have liked a lower cost.
staff were very friendly and the pool was excellent. great location. the room was very small with a loft bedroom with very steep stairs
The indoor swimming pool for us was a major plus point for the hotel and very helpful reception staff. The cost of the resturant was expensive.
nice hotel. jacuzzi breakfast not included and expensive
Location and the hotel facilities were both excellent. Although perfectly adequate for 2 nights, the room was rather small. This may be because I requested a double bed instead of 2 x singles. However, in my experiecnce, it is not unusual to be given the smaller/noisier/older/shabbier rooms when paying a discounted price through an agency rather than booking direct with the hotel & paying the rack rate.
the swimming pool was very good
Kids loved the pool and the breakfast buffet. The staff were excellent and very helpful, and the hotel was in close proximity to both the beach and restaurants/shopping.
Staff at reception, walking distance to main area and beach, easy parking, good shower and comfortable bed No hand towels, asked a number of times but only received them two of the five nights
staff very gentle and ready to help, room confortable and quiet, good location parking space limited
the very friendly staff, the location in Britanny
Nice location. Good breakfast. Everything seemed well organised with the room well cleaned. I would recommend this hotel. It would be nice to have a small fridge in the room.
We liked the location beside the Lagoon, very close to the beach and the town. Great coastal walking nearby. Thalassa facilities very relaxing.Generally a very pleasant place to stay.
The location of the Hotel, 2 minutes walk from the beach. The use of the spa. the view from the room over the salt marsh. We ate in the restaurant, the food was very, very average and the wine list overpriced. There are plenty of restaurants in the town, I would recommend you try one of these.
We chose the Hotel because of its location, but on reflection there were other Hotels with a much better outlook. The Hotel room was small with a view over the car park, and had no air conditioning, and in my experience it can get very warm in Carnac.
Location close to beach and an easy walk into the town of Carnac
Location, comfort, and service were all excellent High cost of continental breakfast
location breakfast was good but a little overpriced for a buffet
Location was excellent Bedroom could do with an update
proximity to carnac beach.easy on site parking. tea/coffee making facilities no available.
Everything about this hotel was excellent, from staff to facilities to ambiance. The moment we walked in the door the staff were so attentive. Excellent experience. We will definitely be back.
Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location. Room decor was a little tired but, did not detract from an enjoyable stay. Alcohol and breakfast prices were too high.
Good location - right on the beach Food good especially the breakfast Too expensive for a 4 star hotel that looked a bit "tired"
We loved the beautiful view from our Room 102 of the wonderul beach. Also the ability to park our car in the hotel grounds. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as we considered 21.50 euros per person to be far too expensive. Also we did not lke the " smoked " glass in the bathroom mirror or in the long mirror in the entrance to the room. My wife could not see to do her face or hair for 3 days !!
Very clean, well appointed room. Very attentive staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Free on-site parking. Good beach location.
Good service, good food, excellent selection of wine.
friendly attentive staff, very good resturant, easy to find. no it was a very enjoyablr experience
Our stay was excellent, and the owners were very helpful and kind.
Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Bathroom needs some improvement.
The room was nice og the balcony spacious. There was no hairdryer and no shower curtain. The latter resulted in the whole bathroom getting very wet after each shower - which is not very pleasant. The exterior pool whish was presentet on the web when we booked, was not yet finished (3 month later).
Very close to surrounding beaches and attractions. Excellent service, very friendly staff. Also, a nice breakfast, at a reasonable rate. Rooms were adequate in size, clean, and price was great. Internet was not working in the room - staff was very receptive and we used the hotel computer for accessing email.
Friendliness of the staff, swimming pool, terrasse Anything you need, you need to ask for it (hair dryer, shower gel as examples)
Everything - Hosts real lovely people and very helpful - recommended
It was in a quiet location which was central to the Quiberon peninsula and Carnac The breakfast was a bit basic for the price
Friendly staff and clean Very rudimentary accomdation and not enough variety for breakfast
It looked interesting on arrival> The decor is modern and the style is reminiscent of north african places, so it is different from what you might expect in Carnac. Nothing worked (Wi-Fi system), especially the so-called Italian bathroom(wetroom) had defective plumbing and could not be used for a normal shower!!!! It flooded the whole bedroom. The bedroom itself was very small, considering the price.
Very friendly and helpfull staff. Convenient location Matress was too soft for me.
Quietly situated less than 3 miles from some excellent beaches
Very special atmosphere. It felt very cosy from the very moment we entered the hotel. I would give it the forth star for the cosiness and originality.
Very welcoming and efficient staff. Good rooms. Excellent breakfast. Pleasant surroundings. Attractive location.
The one night stay was not long enough and we plan to come again when we revisit the area. The modern hotel had a very contempory style and one in which we comfortable and relaxed As with most French hotels, no coffee/tea making facilities in the bedroom
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff yet unobtrusive, what more could you ask of them. The hotel is stylish and has a very relaxing atmosphere. A perfect break for us. We will try to go back
Good breakfast even though not until 8 AM. Noisy exterior shutters. Antiquated TV set, no cable channels. Carpet needs changing NOW!
Nice spacious rooms which were clean and comfortable. A good breakfast available in a sensible time window.
Very welcoming reception and comfortable room No
Open airy restaurant - very good food Bed was hard for our liking
Very close to the most important sites of carnac The rooms "to village" are facing the cities main street - without air conditioning there is no sleep in summer.
Friendly staff, good breakfasts, wonderfully bright and sunny rooms.
we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the only thing that we can think of to improve was there was no tea or coffee fasilitys and could of done with a fridge in room.
A street-front room with a nice view, spacious room and bathroom, with lots of storage.
cleanliness of room general hospitaly of staf dinner menue was a little fancy for us, we ate out.
The hotel staff (the couple running the hotel) were very warm, always smiling and ready to help. The hotel and rooms were clean and tidy. The hotel is conveniently located near the bus stop which takes you to Auray (nearest rail station) and other closeby towns, as well as near the old town centre. A bit of a walk from Carnac Plage (and its nightlife), but that is not a problem if you want to want to use the hotel as a base to explore the region or if you just hire a cycle. Some good restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Definitely recommended.
Waitresses were very friendly and helpful. appreciated having hotel towels for the swimming pool Bread rolls not provided soon enough at the begining of the meal
The Hotel was clean, quiet and the junior suite was a good size. The swimming pool, was heated, clean and well maintained. The restaurant food was extremely delicious, if expensive. The cost of the junior suite was a bit high for the quality of the room
Beautifully designed and decorated rooms. Food was excellent and, I thought, great value for money. Very fast & free Wi Fi.
The person in charge of the hotel was very pleasant and eager to please everyone; very good for the hotel. She had to do all the work alone. But no organisation in the booking for the hotel itself, which must be frustrating for both sides. The booking was made 3 months in advance but on arriving it turned out that the The room we ask for was not available for two days and we were forced to take a less comfortable room, due to double-booking. All the bookings went through the sister-hotel on the hill and called through. We asked for half-pension stay, dinner at the other hotel Tumulus. We went the first night after the lady from the hotel called the sister- hotel Tumulus to announce our arrival they had our name on a list and and after telling and asking them 3 times about this arrangement we had to pay our meal a la carte, because they did not hear from this arrangement. We decided this was the last time because this was nouvelle cuisine and quite expensive.
Generally relaxed and spent time at the beach and enjoying the local cuisine and cafes and of course the sunshine.
comfortable quadruple room, nice style, enough space, quiet atmosphere breakfast fairly meagre compared to price of 9 €
Having access to the garden was lovely but it did mean my room was very noisy when familiessat or played there. The hotel manager was very pleasant and helpful but did not speak English so have a phrase book to hand.
The staff was so welcoming and the room was very clean and the decorations were tasteful. The breakfast was wonderful. The location was very good for the beach and the town. No
Friendly helpful welcome, rooms a good size , breakfast traditional and satisfying, referred us to local posh hotel to eat in evening - which was ok but a bit expensive and posh grub. Need a shower hook over bath please.
A relaxing and friendly hotel with helpful and welcoming staff. It felt like you were staying in a home atmosphere. The hotel was clean and bright and situated in an area with a superb beach, local historic interests and accessable for visiting other interesting resorts nearby. Would fully recommend a stay here if this is what you are looking for. There was nothing to dislike.
We were upgraded to Tumulus hotel as there were no other guests in the An Ti Gwenn at the start of our holiday. The price was honoured at the other 3* hotel, which was wonderful. When the hot water broke down we were able to go to the An Ti Gwenn for a shower. The staff were very helpful in both hotels. Just the hot water problem for 2 days in the Tumulus hotel which happened over a weekend so there was nothing they could do to get the new part required. It was fixed as soon as humanly possible.
The staff were super and recommended an excellent restaurant nearby. The rooms were comfortable with good value for money. There was a bit of a flooding issue from the shower, but it wasn't too bad.
accessibility to carnac noise from nearby disco through the night
Great position and an area with great atmosphere Too many stairs
Location is about halfway between the old town and the beach, so can walk to either in about 10 minutes.
Friendly owner. Nice, basic facility. It was noisy at night. There is no coffee shop nearby, and you have to get the seven-euro breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast was typical french fare; croissant, a piece of baguette with some jam and butter, juice, cereal, coffee. I thought 7 euros was too much for it.
Very clean and comfortable.Good secure car park. Close to beach and restaurants. Easy to find.
An excellent hotel, everything you could wish for. Would highly recommend. Hope to see you again one day. Colin uk None
proximity to parking and town facilities once again fell foul of the 'it has a restaurant, but it's not open' syndrome.
It was close to city historical sights
It is a value hotel. Not to many amenities. It was clean and comfortable altough typically a small european hotel.
The good place for relax, shoping and the nearest location to walk to megalits also. Around 1 km from the beach.
Staff friendly and polite. Hotel clean. Good position, centre of town. The decoration and fitments were worn. Wallpaper mouldy and patched in bathroom. No plug for bath and none provided when requested despite promise to do so. No shower either, just shower attachment.
location right in the centre of town
Restaurant OK. On arrival offered a room with a no view and overlooking the restaurants corrogated roof, the room was changed to room with cracked sink, no plug in bath, dirty carpet and in need of total refurbishment and this was an improvement!!
The location of the hotel is the only positive thing. Old and filthy and smelly. Small breakfast room.
Very welcoming, lots of character, lovely staff and rooms Full cost was not specified during booking and we had to pay an additional charge on checkout (however the staff were careful to identify this when we arrived). Listed as family friendly but not really suitable for very young children (ours are 4, 3 and 1). Breakfast does not live up to the very high standard of the rest of the hotel.
This a stylish boutique type small hotel with intersrtingly designed rooms around a pleasant coutyard garden and small pool. There was a very nice bar in the reception area, but as it was the barman's day off it was not open, which was disappointing.
The hours of opening of the bar.
The best thing is its location and the details the customer can find inside the room. It is a very clean hotel. The breakfast was expensive (15 euros) in relation to the amount of things that the traveller can choose.
Nice furniture. Very nice place and very confortable. Very good breakfast.
First impression was wow - so very different and very tastefully decorated. It was quaint and very artistically furnished and decorated. The garden was delightful. The photograph did not do it justice. Quaint and small there was not a great deal of room. Would not have liked to have stayed there any great length of time as little room for unpacking clothes etc.
This is a nice modern hotel overlooking the harbour at La Trinite. Our room was a good size with a well appointed bathroom. It also had good double glazing which meant it was quiet at night-time even though the hotel is on the main road into La Trinite. We had a evening meal in the restaurant with some friends from the UK - very good food reasonably priced and the service was brilliant. (Our friends told us that the locals often eat there) We did not visit the actual Casino so cannot comment on this but we were not hassled to do so and it was not intrusive. This is not a complaint just a comment - the breakfast 12 euros is pricey.
The staff was very helpful and the restaurant attached was very convenient. The triple my mother and brother shared was huge and had a large veranda overlooking the water. But the double that my wife and I had was small, and having no air conditioning, was hot even though we had the large window open. The stairs and hallways smelled musty.
The location and room with terrace overlooking sea/harbour.The convenience of the on site restaurant together with excellent service. The high curb access to private car park which could cause damage to tyres-
Nice balcony. The hotel photos showed the hotel to be right at the beach, but there was a parking lot accross and the beach was a 2 min walk.
Great location facing watersports harbour and small beach. Good restaurant offering food all day, and easy access to other beachfront restaurants.Would certainly return to this hotel. Bonus was secure parking
Quiet and secluded location in forest. Next to outstanding golf course. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was of excellent quality and reasonably priced. Continental breakfast was overpriced
The hotel's location was very quiet and close to some interesting historical sites such as the alignments of Carnac. We had a comfortable room with a nice view on the golf course. Since we didn't have "conventional" windows in the room but instead a glass door that provided access to the terrace, we could not ventilate our room during the night (the room would have been accessible then from outside).
Nothing Mean management - had to ask for milk from the bar in order to use tea/coffee facilities. Even though it was incredibly cold, manageress would not allow radiator to be switched on. Only source of heat was electric bathroom wall-heater on a timer! Breakfast overpriced - staff in dining room unwelcoming. Decor old, odd dirty smell in corridors and rooms. Overpriced, unpleasant experience.
Silence; swinmming pool, large room. The room design was kind of old, like years 80's; small double bed; staff was not so flexible (no hot chocolate at the bar; you need to make reservations before 6 in order to go to dinner at the restaurant; no fries at the restaurant and so on); the bath tube was small and unconfortable; the lamps near the beds had the light bulb exposed (dangerous for children);much too expensive for the features
Very quiet hotel. Relaxed around the pool and explored the countryside and towns.
Staff helpful and friendly. Clean, but basic No prope restaurant, . Room smelt of smoke, i am a non smoker.
Very friendly personel, efficient and dedicated to good service. Good food overall. Cold eggs at breakfast. Rather small balcony.
