Pros: What I really liked, and what had been missing from our visit to Chile for the 2019 eclipse, was meeting native Chileans who invited us into their home and gave us a good dose of Chilean hospitality! We were greeted by Sebastian and Adolf and two of their friends/guests. After we had settled in, we all sat in their family room, listened to contemporary Chilean music, sipped on wine and had a conversation with them for over 2 hours! We all learned a lot about each other which, for me, is what travel is all about. The house was designed and decorated in a very bohemian style and seemed to be an outwardly expression of who the hosts were. Such interesting details around each corner! Breakfast was healthy: freshly juiced kiwi and orange, coffee, eggs, whole wheat toast with spreads. The kitchen was clean as were the linens and rooms. For anyone wanting authentically Chilean hospitality, I would definitely recommend this place.

Pros: The place is a wonderful getaway from busy Santiago. You can see the love to details and great taste in the place, it has so much charm. On top of it all, we had a delicious breakfast with fluffy eggs, avocado and cheese, as well as a great fresh, made smoothie. Our hosts were charming and took great care of us. We would highly recommend this to be the best place around.

Cons: Lucky we had a GPS! We arrived after 8 pm and the neighborhood looked a little sketch as we drove through the streets. It was probably because it was night and we were unfamiliar with the area and most US traveling guides recommend that you not walk alone at night. I'm glad that Sebastian walked out to meet us and guide us to his onsite parking around the corner (the house is on a corner lot). Meeting such friendly and warm Chilean Ambassadors at this bed and breakfast stripped away a layer of fear in this regard, making the visit one of the highlights of my visit to Chile and bringing us all a small step closer to world peace.
