Pros: It was wonderful in every way. A real treat. We will definitely stay again. Thank you
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent bed and breakfast, very friendly and helpful hosts. Would happily return, and really appreciated them having air conditioning in the current heatwave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great bed with lovely linen. Rooms were beautifully decorated with everything we needed. Lots of attention to small details in the rooms (bathrobe, slippers. cotton wool etc) and fresh coffee as we arrived. The hosts were very friendly and helpful letting us check in early for a wedding. And the breakfast was delicious with local produce. A great place to stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable room excellent breakfast
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place to stay, the hosts have thought of everything to make this a home from home, from a pot of fresh tea on arrival to homemade chocolates. Breakfast was also fresh and delicious.
Cons: We were surprised how busy the main road was - our bedroom overlooked it and it was very noisy, even during the night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the accommodation including the welcome from the property owner who did all he could to please including fresh coffee, homemade biscuits and chocolates on arrival. Quality of the breakfast was top notch.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have to say that this place is just AMAZING, one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. It is beautiful, decorated with taste. It is modern and cute but has great decoration and vintage touches. It is perfect, peaceful and very romantic. Our room was big, impeccable, extremely clean. I just loved every detail, and all of them were lovely, from the beautiful, clean soft bed linens, bathrobes and towels to the comfy fluffy perfect pillows. The mattress was also extremely comfy. Free Homemade biscuits and chocolates in your room, courteasy bottled water drink, minifridge in the room. They also have recommendations on places to eat which provide discount to Barn´s guests. I completely fell in love with the atmosphere. The bathroom was also very pretty, modern and the rain shower was great. The toiletries (shampoo, shoer gel and hand soap) were products from the BeeKind line. There was also air conditioning and heating. Breakfast was also perfect, it was a brunch. They cooked us the most tasty full English breakfast we have ever eaten and I had the best French toast with Mapple Syrup ever. They also provided us with other options like homemade sweets, croissants, preserves, cheese and cold cuts, all local produce, granola, yogurt and strawberries. The Yorkshire tea was very tasty. They also had juices. The owners were so nice and atent to our every need. There’s free parking inside the property. The wifi connection was fast, easy and without interrumptions, with a Wi-fi repeater for each room. The town is very close to York by car, but it is also on the centre of the village, Monk Fryston, and it is not very touristy, which it´s perfect to experience the genuine Yorkshire and rest. It was one of the best stays of our whole life, and the price per night for two persons is a bargain. We definitely are going to come back and I´m going to recommend the place to anyone I know. Also, we had no problems with the payment, the taxes or the check-in or checkout.
Cons: We liked everything, nothing to complain about.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: You have to look twice to find it although is in the middle of the town. Once you found it you will be very welcome, perhaps get some home made sweets and a coffee or tee. The accommodation is spotless clean and very comfortable.
Cons: Check the local pubs if they serve food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is one of the nicest places I have stayed. The host are attentive, the accommodation is of the highest standard with home made biscuits in your room, drink and biscuits on arrival, beds which you sink into, recommendation on places to eat which provide discount when stopping at the barn, and then finally the breakfast. The selection is better than any group chain hotels with organic and local produce always available. This ranges from muesli to local honey. Its a pleasure to stay and I personally travel 17 miles from the office to do so. Don't stay anywhere else, or you'll be disappointed!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Top notch room, well above standard expected.
Cons: Quaint, quiet and cosy

7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent as was the location. Owner was very friendly.
Cons: Room was tired and in need of some TLC. Looked like there were lots of bodged DIY jobs
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was OK and the host (Pete') was chatty.
Cons: Didn't like being told the exact time our breakfast would be on the table or that the cleaner would be in our room at 9:30 despite the notice on the wall saying vacating was up to 10:30. Neither the outer door or bathroom door would shut without some force. Although there was the usual tea/coffee and a TV in the room the room was tired enough to pass as a 70's botch job. The 'wardrobe' comprised a recessed wall with a curtain over it. I didn't want to use the shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, especially the breakfast
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff really friendly
4.3 Okay
Pros: location fine didn't stop for breakfast
Cons: the room and the hotel is in need of upgrade, decoration are tired and beds aren't very comfy and the price doesn't reflect this
8.3 Excellent
Pros: booked this on day of arrival, needed somewhere near a location that we had to get to in a hurry. Was fine for our purposes, was a little noisy on the night, but the hotel is attached to a pub, so it was to be expected. Food at the pub was fine, and had a nice breakfast in the morning. Found it be good value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It had a travel cot in the room which I liked and the bed was very comfortable
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a convenient location to family that we were visiting and not too expensive. Public transport was right outside the hotel.
Cons: The hotel is a little outdated and could do with a refurbishment.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The food was nice and good selection of non alcoholic drinks. Good slot machines and a good size pool table which was a good price to play. It was good to have a wardrobe in the room and a good size TV. I liked having the option of using the lights above the bed instead of the main light that was cosy. I liked having a full length mirror so I could see wat my outfit looked like all together.
Cons: The pillows was a ok size but they are very hard on your head and neck. The mattress was hard and firm and stopped us having a good nite sleep. Also the bed was too high for partner as she kept forgetting and hurting her ankle. The size of the shower cubicle was a unreasonable size as kept banging my elbows on the door and wall and my partner felt cramped and anxious due to her having epilepsy. The temperature in the shower was a struggle to adjust and there was no bath mat and didn't notice the sign for the bath mat till it was too late. The hair dryer was less powerful than a standard hairdryer because it double the time to dry my partner hair which is short. The kettle or plug was faulty due to the kettle turning off whilst boiling and turning itself on again so I'm not sure which was faulty. For people who don't have thier own transport the hotel is not that accessible .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Ideal location for where we were visiting
Cons: No soap in the bathroom to wash your hands
7.0 Good
Pros: Good value evening meal.
Cons: No hot water in shower. Previous occupant's litter under the table.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendly friendly and accomodating.
