Location by sea
View from rooms; good size of bedroom; quality of restaurant food; helpful staff None
Beautiful view would revisit. Helpful staff. Nice simple fresh decor. Bathroom . Bath/shower was terrible and leaked all over floor. No ladder out of sea. Bar area could be enhanced and more staff at actual bar.
the location, the room, the atmosphere and the staff
This hotel is under new management and is excellent. Great location from the pool area into deep water sea swimming. Excellent staff, Great rooms. Good parking. Superb lunches and dinners in two separate superbly located venues. 10 minute walk down to the harbourside restaurants of Cavalerie and its long beach. 25 minute drive to the long St Tropez beach. Breakfast was passable with limited choices, poor replenishment and at 20 euros expensive. They are going to put in fixed showers this winter. Our bedroom only had a hand held shower. We told them there should be a shower on the jetty when exiting the sea. It is difficult to find without a sat nav - so get organised when you first arrive. It is Hotel Calanque - not Les Residence du Soleil. That is the ownership chain.
Location room staff and nice short pretty walk to town Electrical saftey by jacxuzzi dodgy. we reported it on first date but no electrician repaired it during our week. danger
Location & sea view Walls are very thin = noise
A marvellous location overlooking a turquoise sea.
The hotel is beautiful and clean. Small number of rooms make it really cosy. It is by the seaside, full seaview. Food is great too. It is within walking distance to town centre.
Arrival at 12.30pm. Previous occupiers had "just" left. Told to wait until 3.30pm. Question need for 3 hours to prepare 2 small rooms? Rented an "apartment" . In fact was 2 small adjoining rooms and one bathroom accessed only through the first room so nocturnal disturbance inevitable. No sitting area etc in apartment. Pretty terrace overlooking the sea rendered useless by broken sun bed and 3 chairs for 4 people. Highlighted broken sunbed on arrival. Was told it would be fixed-it was not! View was spoilt by the peeling paint on the flank wall. Bathroom door could not be closed- no handle on door! Telephone not working. Shower broken. Bath plug broken. Hand shower broken, exposed electrical junction box on terrace.Musty cupboard. Pool dirty. Wife cried! Management reduced bill 50%
It's a family run hotel. They are very nice folks, helpful and welcoming. Rooms are clean and comfortable without being luxurious. The value for money is very good for the area. If you don't have a car you must be prepared to walk (it's at 30 min walking distance from the nearby Cavalaire sur Mer village) and room isolation is quite poor (you hear whatever is happening in the neighboring rooms!)
The owners of the hotel were very welcoming and did everything to make our stay enjoyable.
It was a really nice one week for honeymoon. A bit expensive, but the athmosphere was perfec, the staff was helpful, the pool was cool!
Very nice location. Great garden and sea view. For this rate we would book it again!
This hotel is a fair deal: not a rip-off, not a bargain. Rooms and lobbies have been lightly renovated, but the hotel didn't undergo a complete refurbishment as it's supposed (eg: room cabinets are small and old-fashioned, the lift is, the same, old-fashioned). Rooms are smaller than descriptions, while the toilets are extremely small. Some problems with bathroom goods (soap, paper) not being properly refilled. Breakfast, while being pretty expensive for French standards, is quite disappointing for food selection, quality and quantity.
Everyone on hotel staff was pleasant, courteous, and helpful. No.
Very nice, modern, and clean hotel. a lot of attention to details. Espresso machine in the room (fantastic), the facilities a+++, shuttle service impecable and in a Lexus suv... Made our honeymoon that much better...
The room was spacious, the shuttle service was great and some of the staff were very pleasant My problem is with the manager of the hotel who seems to think its okay to yell at me and call me a liar. I was extremely uncomfortable and wanted to cancel my reservation right there.
The hotel is quiet and cosy. The staff are very kindly and helpful. The location is so convenient. I'd like to come back!!!
Attention to detail and service from all staff
Le Kube was wonderful! The design, the location and the staff could not do enough to help you. The food was very good and the manager was very helpful (giving me a blanket and hot chocalate when it was windy!). Would go back in a shot, loved it all (except the pool at the front was freezing!) Pool at front was a bit too cold!
Very nice design hotel with a lot of extras
Closeness to the beach, family hotel feeling, not too big, it was situated in a small and cosy village not to big.
Clean room Personnel, poor food et price
Right on the beach. Gorgeous and clean beach. Airconditioning very powerful.
location & staff not really
Very efficient and friendly staff. Excellent location. Wonderfull view from the room. Very good food and service in the restaurant. Private beach. The air condition in the room smelled sometimes.
The view. The room was also fairly large and at a decent standard. Small pool and solarium, private beach small and not cleaned up, poor facilities in relation to the hotel class - cheap schampoo, no conditioner, except BBC World and CNN no international cable channels, no mpay per view option, no possibility to borrow/rent dvd player.
Beautiful views, very friendly staff, good facilities. Beds were very uncomfortable
Absolutely amazing view from the room balcony, very pleasant and comfortable room . Hotel beach is rather small and it was a very big problem to get the place (sun lounger with umbrella) as we were at the Hotel in August when the place was overcrowded. The system is that you need to reserve the place in advance and when you come to the beach there are a lot of empty loungers but you cannot use them as they are reserved by somebody else. But if you pay to beach boy you may solve the problem...
Something unusual was thar as far as I could tell, allthe staff were French (?!) The bouillabesse in the restaurant.Expensive and not very good.
Great beach.....pool and food!
The view was phenomenal, the beach private and relaxing. Location was private, tucked away, yet not too far from larger cities.
Location, location, location. Simply stunning. Prices and choices in restaurant. Not helped I guess though by current rates of exchange.
the staff was very nice; the kitchen was excellent and the room and the view were fantastuc The internet did not functiond well
We really liked the location and the facilities of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. No complaints.
The calm and the attendance by the hotel staff
design, staff, location
We adored everything about our stay at Villa Marie and look forward to returning soon!
Staff were excellent. surroundings were very pretty and quiet as well. very relaxing.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings. Well decorated rooms. No
The hotel is nice but I expected more for the price I have paid. The water temperature was not hot for me as well as the room temperature. Ia a hotel where we are paying near 390 euros per day, I believe that this is definitely not acceptable. I am not sure I would stay at this hotel again because of this issue.
Villa Belrose was an absolutely outstanding hotel - We would recommend without hesitation. The breakfast was pricey and limited in selection - not on par with the rest of our experience.
relax in the swimming pool, shopping in saint tropez breakfast was extremely expensive.
The service is perfect. The staff is very friendly and considerable. And the view is so beautiful just like a painting. No.
nice view, kindly stuff, personal touch rooms are very small....
Nice facilities i.e The pool the garden and pool bar. Very unhelpful staff , i would say rude. When we arrived in the area we called the hotel for a taxi but they told us we would have to call it ourselves. They then told us we were to close to get a taxi.Ridiculous as the hotel is at the top of a steep hill approx 30 min walk. We had suitcases and i find it difficult to believe the reception was so unhelpful knowing the location of the hotel and we were guests. When we got their she was extremley arrogant and seem to laugh it off. I was so angry i could not bring myself to speak to that member of staff again. As a first wedding anniversary i have an unfortunate memory of the way we were treated at the beginning , such a shame as it's a nice looking hotel.
Friendly staff, clean hotel, good location, quiet.
Very nice stuff. The room is very nice and hace a wanderful view of the region. The restaurant (for breakfast) and the swimming pull are very well decorated and modern. It is 5 km from saint tropez... This could be a big problem in july... But not in seprtember. Anyway, just recommended for travellers with own or rented car.
Nice comfortable room Saint Tropez is only 6 km away but on busy August days, with heavy traffic, it took us 2hrs to get into town!
simple rooms look better on the pictures, the views are nice, bit too far from the town breakfast
very nice pool area good parking facilities well kep tfriendly staff expensive breakfast
Very friendly staff. Good location for our trips to the beach and other nivce places. Hotel is located in a quit area with sufficient (safe) parking places.
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The staff are friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable, the pool area is serene and tranquil and the decor is contemporary modern. The location up on the hill means that it is away from the noise and bustle of St Tropez, though this does mean that your own transport is essential. The bathrooms are a little dated, but functional.
surprised at the value for a beautiful location
Staff is nice and helpful. The pool area is pleasant Rooms look very cheap and need to be brushed up and updated. The fake grass in the parking and by the pool is awful
The hotel was beautiful the staff friendly. Our overall experience was one of comfort and luxury.
An authentic hotel, ideally located around 2km from Saint Tropez. A charming place which offers good service and good value for money.
It's a very nice and cosy hotel right in the main square of Cogolin, a small town just 10 km from St-Tropez. If you have a car..it's really near and very convenient (no serpantine roads). The personnel of the hotel was nice, rooms were clean. We had a big two room apartment for 4 at the roof with a nice balcony and it was really nice for the price that we paid. Hotel does not have elevator so prepare for a difficult check in and check-out maneuver )))
Beautiful village (Cogolin), beautiful rooms and view Wi-fi only in the lobby. The info on booking.com should be changed.
