Everything!! From check in to check out... We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay! Definitely needs a higher star rating than what online suggests it is. I don't think that's possible! Exceptional hotel.
Very clean Staff was nice but not overly engaged
Pleasant staff and excellent breakfast. Could hear the footsteps of the guests in this room on the floor above us.
Convenience for our travel plans, very nice hotel and the staff was extremely helpful! Nothing we did not like.
Great location, super friendly staff ! Clean room, nice breakfast, I love the lending library and free coffee and cookies around the clock. Would surely go back.
Every employee we dealt with was extremely professional and friendly. Fantastic breakfast, probably the best I have has in terms of a free buffet.
We loved how clean this hotel is, and how delicious the breakfast is. Close to UNI and everything in Cedar Falls!
Nice free breakfast, good location, clean, staff was helpful and friendly.
Great hot tub/whirlpool -- wonderful for relaxing after a long day on the road. My children enjoyed the swimming pool too. The room (and bathroom) were very clean -- no problems there. The breakfast was good too -- plenty of variety. Not really. Wish we could've stayed here longer!
We always like Country Inn & Suites for the cookies & tea, plus a good breakfast. Sound from the hallway was quite audible in the room. The breakfast was good, but for some reason the baked goods rack was not restocked.
Very quiet The air conditioner in my room didn't work very well. It was extremely hot outside that day
The hotel is very nice and clean, near shopping center and restaurants.
Love the hot tub and pool. The buffet was also very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room looked amazing, straight out of a interior design magazine, from the leaf-bladed fan, to the flat screen today, to the large walk-in shower with a bench, everything about the room was awesome. No funny smells, staff was friendly, the buffet;which costed quite a bit, was good, elevators were fast, parking was okay, not the best unless you paid for it, as there is also a casino and valet parking as options. There's a pool-side bar, a restaurant, a buffet, a swimming pool, which was a little smaller than it could've been, a large hot tub. Basically the only thing I didn't like was that some of the other people there were clearly doing drugs or VERY intoxicated, so I really wouldn't recommend this hotel to children, because my father wouldn't let me stay there alone, because he didn't feel safe having his 19 yr old daughter stay there alone, and barely settled letting my little 17 yr old sister stay there, however the doors are very secure and there's even a safe in the closet!! He could've just wanted to stay there because he wanted the shower and the comfy beds, which honestly I considered taking with me and just letting them charge my credit card for, because I've never slept better in my entire life!! If only I were 21, it would've been perfect!!
Had a nice stay. Hotel staff from the front desk to the wait staff could have been\nmore helpful and friendly, very short with answers or did not know. Getting food\nafter 1 am was poor. Everything was very pricey.
Reservations were made with Travelocity for the hotel casino 'Isle of Capri' in Waterloo. As had happened before there were no rooms when we arrived and upon showing my confirmation papers the clerk after saying there were no rooms suddenly found one only it was a King and I had asked for two queens but they did not have a room with 2 Queen beds. We need them for our sleep masks which are cumbersome to sleep with. There was no microwave and a broken refrigerator door latch and we could not get into it the first night but next morning got it open and there was only enough space for 4 bottles of water. We didn't ask the beds to be changed so they did the towels and glasses and wastebaskets but really is that rather cheap service. They did not even straighten the bed. We were given rooms with cement roof scenery. All we could see was the sky. When you book with a company like travelocity who buy up blocks of rooms you get the worst view ever so they are cheaper supposedly. The WiFi was so slow I never got my e-mails in nor could I play a game or two on the computer. I would not stay at all if it weren't for the convenience of the casino but I think that was the last time we will be staying there. Check out was fast and they offered us a bottle of water as if that was a consolation prize.
We were travelling from Ohio to IA. About an hour away from Waterloo, IA, I called the Isle hotel to check room availability. I was told there was a room available. I completed the reservation process over the phone and gave them my credit card number. Upon check-in, the desk clerk told us that the room was not available. I told him that I had just called an hour ago. He asked if I called the hotel or the reservation call center. (I didn't know for sure - I got the number off of their website.) The man at the desk offered no apology nor any kind of assistance. So, we dragged our luggage back through the huge parking lot in 5 degree weather at midnight to find another hotel.
Thanks for several great stays each time has been memorible. If this is your first time ask about the upgrades they are well worth the extra few dollars.
The hotel was very clean, service was very good and lunch down in the deli was excellent. Pool was packed with kids on a Sunday and not pleasant that day.
This was, hands-down, the best place I've ever stayed. I've been to Rome, Amsterdam, Chicago, Minneapolis, Austin, and San Antonio, and the fanciest, nicest hotel I've ever stayed in was in Waterloo, IA! It was very classy with a tiled walk-in shower big enough for 2, very nice decor, and a very 'ritzy' feel. The only downside was the smoking in the casino which we could also smell in the hallways (but it wasn't in our room). Just my wife and I stayed on this trip.
I have stayed here multiple times. I will keep coming back. It is a great place to stay!
My wife and I stayed the night here because it was about one-half of the way on our cross country trip. What we didn't anticipate was an absolutely screaming kid in the room right next to ours. Immediately after check-in I notified the front desk about it and the response I received was that they couldn't do anyting about it. We were both very tired from a long day on the road and they wouldn't move us to a different room because they were 'sold out'.
very modern. Overall very clean. Very quiet some hairs in the corners of the bath room. Also, I would expect brewed coffee in the breakfast area for a Best Western.
Very nice staff!! The bathtub drain was clogged. The toilets flushed so loudly that I could hear when all of the surrounding rooms flushed their toilets. I heard other guests at breakfast talking about this also.
Open seating area Hot tub, filled on, that was the main reason we booked this location.
Clean, nice, felt new. Pool was clean ang great, wish there was a hot tub though Expected a hot tub, but loved the pool
Nice, clean. Absolutely hated the outside landscape/building lights, shined right in the window, way too bright, made it feel like middle of the day but was night. My wife struggled a lot with it and I got a little concerned the first morning that I had overslept.
Hotel Employee both showed what good worker can do for your reputation. They found us granola bars, fruit, water, etc. Very concerned if we got what we requested. Will be a hotel we will use often in Cedar Falls Nothing....
It was a very nice hotel.
newly remodel room
The breakfast was very good. Hotel was neat and clean...I rated it low because they did not clean out toilet. Besides that, it was great! Dirty toilet
Recently remodeled. Nice sheets and tv. Good soundproofed rooms. A hotel without a restaurant and without a pub is a 2 star hotel at best! Desk staff was often unavailable. No idea where they were but not available. Located in an industrial park. One pricey eatery across the road otherwise miles to alternatives.

Location and check in were great Bathroom not cleaned well, urine on toilet bowl ring and dirt and hair in tub
Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. Hotel was in a great location, was very quiet at night and all guests were very respectful of eachother. Will definitely stay here again if in the area. Hot tub wasn't working but other than that it was great.
I really enjoyed having a full kitchen. The room was very well arranged for the space provided. If I could have changed one thing if would have been the air temperature control. It did not feel the temperature it was set at and it was hard to change and regulate
Layout, furnishings and cleanliness of room. Noise volume was too loud. I could hear people talking in the next room. Internet kept coming get in and out making I it difficult to work.
Roomy hotel room, comfortable bed, plenty of pillows, and helpful, courteous staff. No, I will definitely stay again.
Conveniently located in south Cedar Falls with access to major roads. We have stayed here on several occasions where the staff knows us and make us feel at home. The rooms are nicely equipped, but we sure wish they came with a toaster.
Nice room and receptionist was friendly. Pool area was dirty and hot tub was lukewarm.
Very clean, comfy bed and temperature control on thermostat wall was awesome! Very pleased.
First room we were given was very smokey - staff was already aware the room smelled when we went back to request a different room. Paid a $75 pet fee that was not disclosed when booking.Checkout is 11am. Our request for a 1 hour late checkout was denied.

It was clean and had a nice bed
Room was clean AC not working. No microwave on property to use per hotel staff.
staff was very nice and welcoming. they let us check in early which was great. Breakfast was excellent! would stay here again. Wi-Fi was great and so easy to log onto Beds were tiny! very short and too firm mattress. not very good soundproofing between pool area and our room.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. Good variety for breakfast.
Very comfortable bed and quiet. Breakfast area was rather small for the number of people using it. Food was not very warm.
Clean rooms, staff was friendly hotel was quiet and priced right for the weekend.
Had a small problem with the A/C the first evening and could not change our room because the hotel was booked. However, the next morning we were moved into an upgraded room at no additional charge and we were not charged for the first evenings stay. The staff handled this very professionally without question and could not have been nicer. Facilities are very well maintained and near to shopping and all of the major attractions in the area.
Very nice and clean. The staff where friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good every day. Are favorite was the biscuts and gravy. Only thing that could have been better was the noise level through the door. It was not a very sound proof room. But would stay again when I go there to Waterloo.
Check-in is always fast and friendly. Rooms are well-kept and comfortable. The bedding is wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast is typical of fare a all Hampton Inns. Staff is very accommodating and helpful in all ways.
I booked 2 rooms at this hotel. When we arrived we got the keys to the rooms. First room walked in someone is alread in the room. Ok no problem mistake i thought. Go to the 2nd room, excatct same problem. they double booked BOTH of our rooms. I go to the front desk and told her the problem. She goes to computer and says thats impossible there are noone in those rooms. She argued with me. I gave her keys and said look for yourself. She did than gave us 2 different rooms. Swiped my card and accidentally charged for another room!!. It took 4 days for the charges to finally get credited to my account. I have 3 overdraft charges because of this. Not at all happy with how they handled our stay
My experience at this hotel was wonderful. The staff were helpful and friendly. I recommend this hotel to all! And I would stay here again. Anytime.
I have stayed at this property several times. The location and quality of room, service, etc are very good. The morning breakfast is above average.
Stayed one night for parents weekend at UNI. Had 2 adults and an 8yr old boy. Only about 10 minute drive from UNI campus. Easy to find. Hotel is in great condition! Son enjoyed the pool and our college student enjoyed the hot tub. Comfort bed, simple but good continental breakfast, quiet and good pool hours.
The facility was clean and the staff was friendly. Our room was spacious which is a plus. The only thing I noticed was you can hear people walking the hall on the floor above or conversations in the hallway of your own floor....nothing major though.
Our stay in Waterloo, Iowa was restful and very pleasant. It was so quiet and comfortable for our two day stay. The free breakfast was super. Everyones taste buds were considered. Since we were not familiar with the area, the front desk staff helped us with directions with great clarity. I would gladly stay here again.
The staff are pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast layout is pretty darned good. The heating cooling system in the room worked well. They gave me plenty of linens. Cleaning, as in all hotels, could have been better--when you find the remains of someone else's chocolate munching between sofa and end table... Nice soft squishy pillows. Helpful that they have printer with the lobby computer so you print boarding pass. Price was right right right The kitchenette would be more useful if it contained a few plates, cups, glasses, utensils. The creation of a duvet by use of two sheets makes keeping the bedding from strangling you somewhat difficult. Internet was no better and no worse than other hotels, in other words, spotty. TV remotes were held together by chewing gum (no not really but almost)
Clean, comfortable, good breakfast
Pool was under construction and we were not notified of this ahead of time. Traveling with younger children there was nothing to keep them entertained at the hotel. Breakfast was not served until after 7am.
I really like the comfortable big room and friendly staff. Only thing that i didn't like was the no complimentary breakfast.
Needs to be checked for bed bugs. Ended up with bites overnight
FIre smell, room bed hard as rock.
Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. I'm not sure the AC was working like it was supposed to.
It's nothing like the pictures showed. It doesn't even look like the pics. The front desk is the only thing. It's still old, out dated, one of my beds the springs were broke so you just sank into the bed, the pool area is still being worked on, however the pool was open, but no towels, no restroom, ect.. No channel guide for the TV my remote was missing from the room, there was no clock, no shampoos. No elevator. The hotel was dirty. When I was checking in, there was still popcorn all down the stairs and hallways. My room was OK but they didn't dust. There wasn't even tissue in my room. Only a few towels. For being a 2 queen beds there wasnt much. I did go to the counter and told the lady of the issues, we found my remote but it looked like she was bothered by me. I used to work at a hotel in different areas with in a hotel, so I understand the struggles from an employees point but this was more than that. I didn't expect much from a motel to begin with but it felt like the hotel should only be charging $39.00 a night not 69-80. Its more like a cheap motel but with higher prices.
That there was no microwaves in the room!
Efforts made for updating. People can still smoke in hotels?
Nothing The police knocking at my door at 2am waking up my kids.
