9.5 Excellent
Pros: Being the highest bed and breakfast in the world, the location was great for getting away and being in the mountains at the foot of a glacier. Breakfast was great and if you like hiking this is the place for you.
Cons: It is about 10 miles away from Idaho Springs where you can get food. This may be a negative for some but for us it was not a problem and added to the feeling of getting away from it all.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing!!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tyler and Paula were excellent host. Everything exceeded expectations, the location, room and breakfast were awesome. We were given driving instructions to use instaed of GPS which we failed to follow (our fault) but we still made it without any issue.
Cons: We didn't stay long enough!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Bed was really comfortable! Our room did not have a view, but the mountain facing rooms have a beautiful view. We were offered an upgrade for $30 for one of the larger mountain facing rooms but since we were only there one evening, we opted not to. Wish we had another night to enjoy the place.
Cons: Carpets. No included breakfast. That is $15 PP extra. There is coffee and biscotti. Bananas. Bit out of the way (but worth the drive).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unbelievable food, customer service and attention to detail. Truly fantastic! We travelled for our anniversary and the hosts even greeted us with champagne, strawberries, cheese and crackers! We could not have asked for a better experience.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The facility was built as a bed and breakfast and it showed. Well laid out. Only 8 rooms, very few people. Beautiful large log construction that came through to the interior. Amazing interior decorating and very nice décor and nick knacks. The bed rooms and common areas were very comfortable and homey. The views of the mountains from the deck/rooms were awesome. The owners were great.
Cons: They need a stronger WiFi. Too much buffering and spotty connection in parts of the facility. The nearest restaurants and activities are 11 miles away down the mountain. If you want to be in the heart of the action, this is not the place for you. If you want to climb to a glacier, go 4 wheel driving down mountain roads, or just sit on the deck and look at the mountains, this is a great place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and quite. Like the offer of beer and wine; nice touch. Loved the location!
Cons: If maybe we could of left a little earlier, like 6:00 a.m. instead of after 7:00 a.m. We respect the fact that it is a bed and breakfast but you only let adults in. As adults we respect others quite time, so if we left earlier we would of been extremely quite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The view from the private balcony was breathtaking. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was no TV, which was perfect for the one night we were there. Arrived too late for dinner, but breakfast (extra $15 per person) was exceptional. Fruit, bacon, dutch pancake, eggs, orange juice, and coffee. The nice gentleman who greeted us was nice and helpful, despite us getting there a little late (I wasn't aware of the check-in hours when I booked the room). He answered all of our questions, especially about the area (we were on a Jeep trip).
Cons: Quiet hours start at 10pm. We arrived too late for dinner, but we also couldn't check in and run into town to find some food. They lock the doors, and it almost felt a little like a boarding school (where you cannot leave after that)!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome, just awesome. That's how much we loved the Silver Lake Lodge and want to return for another stay. My wife and I planned a 4-day trip to Colorado primarily to see a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater located on the edge of Denver. We decided to spend the rest of the time in the mountains and I searched for a place to stay. I found the Silver Lake Lodge on TripAdvisor and was impressed with the reviews and subsequently booked 3 nights. I must say the reviews were spot-on. Let me share our impressions Constructed of logs, it is a beautiful lodge nestled high in the Rockies. You have stunning scenery all around you, plus it's quiet, clean mountain air and wildlife...you couldn't ask for more. Located near Idaho Springs and approximately 10 miles north of I-70, the drive also provides gorgeous views of the mountains. You are climbing approximately 3,000 feet in elevation after leaving the I-70 which might intimidate some drivers not comfortable with mountain driving. Believe me, it's worth the drive. Take it slow, you'll get there and will have enjoyed the views along the way. The owners, Taylor and Paula, take amazing care of their guests. The rooms and other facilities are very clean and beautifully maintained. The food is wonderful. They are very attentive to your needs and do whatever to make sure you're comfortable, especially the little things. As an example, my wife and I had spent the day away from the Lodge exploring the mountains. On our way back we picked up a pizza-to-go in Idaho Springs and planned to eat it when we got to the Lodge. When we went to the common room which has a table to eat, Taylor was there and asked us about our day. He then went and got us plates, silverware and napkins from the kitchen so we didn't have to eat off the pizza box. Was it a big deal? No, but it shows how they want to take care of their guests.

6.8 Good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is the BEST! You feel the “love” as soon as you walk in the door. Unlike the other casinos in Central City, this is a warm and inviting place and we will not stay anywhere else. The bartenders at the Video Poker deserve special credit. They are the best bar tending combo I’ve seen in a long time. Love it!!
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was really one of the best. The bed was comfortable. The technology in the room was awesome.
Cons: No complaints.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: My mistake, but I thought there might be a pool, hot tub. It is nice, and right there in the center of things. I just thought it might be more like the Black Hawk hotels, whereas this was a refurbished old building, with the character and old school charm. Not a bad thing. I was just more after the romantic getaway with amenities for this trip.
6.3 Good
Pros: Large room
Cons: Room could not be darkened Tight slots No help with bags Long check in

8.0 Excellent
Pros: the price was right the hotel room was large and clean. the casino was nice.
Cons: we ate at the dinner buffet at 5;00. it was the worse buffet we have ever had' the food was obviously left over from lunch. there was very little to chose from. there was 1 meat chicken. stall. potatoes has hard as a rock. we had to go somewhere else to eat.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I was really surprised when i opened that door to the room... i didn't think it would be that nice... i thought it would look the same as the outside kinda sh*tty but as an overall experience it was good.
Cons: No hot tub, small casino, not much food choice, and its a way from blackhawk if you want to drink... oh and i hate the smell of cigarettes which was around elevator, and entry ways...
7.1 Good
Cons: Could only get a smoking room. It definitely smelled of smoke. Other than that, it was fine.

7.0 Good
Pros: The food was good and the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. However, there was a contact lens on one nightstand, a white crusty substance on the table and the shower was cool and had no power.
Cons: There was a contact lens on the nightstand, a crusty white substance on the table and the shower was cool and had no pressure.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Location. Good
Cons: Horrible customer service. I travel often and this is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever experienced. I would never stay here again nor recommend.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Gambling
Cons: CBS in tv!??!?!,!?
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room. Only reason I stay in Blackhawk.
Cons: I asked the front desk guy if I could get a military discount and he said no..you booked it on line. And couldn't understand him when he talked.
7.0 Good
Pros: I do like the complimentary beverages while playing the games.
Cons: It's just a little too expensive for a room.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Rooms were a good size.
Cons: This Ameristar is not a direct representation of the other Ameristar locations. This location is severely lacking... Horrible front desk customer service!! Had to request stuff over and over.! Front desk employees are lazy and lie to there patrons constantly. Hotel is in disrepair. Escalators don't work. The rooms are also in bad shape. The shower has no pressure. You have to cup your hands to get enough water to shower. Fridge doesn't work.
5.0 Okay
Cons: The main restaurant was closed so we went across to the other hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great rooms!
Cons: The "Fireside" restaurant downstairs was horrible food, and the staff apparently had better things to do than sit, see to and serve guests.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: everything is very good, but it would be perfect if the room will have a microwave, it is very necessary, more when traveling with children
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was much bigger than I expected, the bed very comfortable and the room overall was quite luxurious.
Cons: Not much to do in Black Hawk except to gamble in the casino. No site-seeing opportunities.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, restaurant staff was not very good. Had repeated bad service in two of the restaurants.
Cons: Restaurant staff was not very good. If staying longer I would avoid the onsite dining.
7.5 Good

Cons: The staff that cleans needs lessons and attention to detail!

The rooms come with a private bathroom with free toiletries. Indian Hot Springs offers a sun terrace. Denver is 44 km from the accommodation. 8.3 Excellent
Pros: Happy to see work has been done to spiffy up the place. Comfy bed, friendly staff and we loved the gift shop. It's close and convenient so we'll always come back.
Cons: Wish the restaurant was a thing and there were adult only hours in the pool. Would be nice if guests got a discount on services.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The poolunable
Cons: Unable to stay an extra night without paying almost double the price of the first night.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Just pool is ok.
Cons: Room cleaning and comfort.
4.5 Okay
Cons: the room was like a 1980s summer camp. No AC, bathroom was dim and dingy. The shower was pitiful and not clean. One of the staff was patrolling the pool telling people not to jump in because it was a 'relaxing place'. This was never communicated pre-book or even at check-in. This is a 1 star - which isn't low enough (would make a Hampton Inn a 5 star).
6.3 Good
Pros: The I natural springs pool was very nice
Cons: After making the non refundable reservations we were notified that the rooms do not include air conditioning. We were also informed that there was construction in the area. Not only was there traffic delays ~ the work was right outside our window. Which meant waking up very very early. The rooms could use some updating.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was acceptable for cleanliness.
Cons: Even though the walls and ceiling were white, the room was dark. One bulb was out, but it wouldn't make a difference, because all lights were dim. Bathroom lighting was fine. The door and faucet handles were difficult to use. They need updating. Lampshades have plastic wrap on them, that should be removed. I believe they could be a fire hazard, although the light bulbs were probably too weak to create an issue. We would have liked to experience the "hot springs", but the atmosphere did not give us a good feeling, so we did not explore beyond our room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool
Cons: Staff was ok but not particularly helpful or friendly
7.5 Good
Pros: The size of the bedroom / suite
Cons: Not enough lighting in the bathroom No outlets Bed was like sleeping on the floor.... Very hard mattress
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The pool was included with the stay.
Cons: Room had no air conditioner or even a fan!! Once the air cooled off it was fine, but until then, room was hot and stuffy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the greenhouse hot springs pool!
Cons: Bed was super uncomfortable
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great. The options were plenty. The town was adorable.
Cons: The bed was too hard. After relaxing in the pool, private bath and getting a massage it only took the bed one night to put me right back.
1.0 Poor
Pros: its uniqueness
Cons: the staff at check in fast the staff at answering question rude and could care less . no updated amenities

Overview Reviews

9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was clean. Good check in staff.
Cons: When I went to my room there was already someone in there.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I loved the room! Beautiful and comfortable. Very new. Loved the huge shower!!
Cons: The staff was ok but that’s about it. It IS a casino so people can be irritating I know when they’re partying. Not every guest is like that so a little conversation or personality from the staff would be nice. They just give one word answers and don’t want to be engaged. The smaller cafe was very uncaring about customer service. Well, one lady in particular.
7.0 Good
Pros: Office staff friendly
Cons: Under construction hard to understand road construction signs to enter property then asked to move by valet hard to interpret drive
6.8 Good
Pros: Bed okay with extra pillows.
Cons: Liquid soap rather than bar soap. A better coffee maker. More TV channels. Easier access to bottled water rather than calling housekeeping for it and waiting 20 to 30 minutes for it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First time I stayed here- staff was extremely helpful- room was clean & I had a special request for my room & they accommodated me- very grategul, thank you!
Cons: I drove and feel the parking garage was filthy! The least they could do is sweep litter & trash
7.0 Good
Cons: Could hear noisy guest in the hall all hours of the night
9.1 Excellent
Pros: My visit to Lady Luck Hotel was great. Friendly staff. Great location. The rooms are large and spacious. I was within a 5 min. Walking distance to all casinos. It was about $50.00 cheaper then some of the other hotels. Free WiFi. The casino on site is smaller but it’s connected to the Isle of Capri.
Cons: A lot of going up and down to get from room to casino. No spa.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean, location is great. There is a shuttle bus that takes you pretty much anywhere you would like to go. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. It is much nicer than some of the more popular hotels in the area. The casino was nice as well.
Cons: N/A
4.5 Okay
Cons: The food was nasty and too expensive and online is lying! This is a NO SMOKING hotel!
7.5 Good
Pros: Super clean, good parking, super quite.
Cons: Having a child with us, we did not eat at the buffet because of the cost ( $23.00) per person. The little café next door was super expensive and the food was next to inedible. How can you mess up a cheese pizza? Reminded me of bad school pizza-soggy and almost raw dough. Nachos had potential, but chips were old and stale and limp. Rice bowl I expected to be only OK since it was fast food, rice was the consistency of oatmeal! Canned wine cooler was $6. Some of the GROSSEST FOOD EVER!! A TV dinner would have been gourmet compared to what we were served. NO POOL, my fault I didn't check assuming at that price there would be one.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Liked the price for a quick stay.
Cons: Hotel is in need of a major face lift. The room seemed to be from the 90s. The paint on the wall was peeling off and the sink had a crack in it, shower was dirt (you could see the dirt), cigarette burns in floor/bed, the water pressure was awful. Everything just felt like it was old. It felt like a motel 6 and not what I would expect for staying in one of Blackhawks larger hotels. Everything felt so dirty and old.
7.0 Good
Pros: Every one was so friendly and helpful
Cons: I liked it all

5.0 Okay
Pros: check in lady was extremely nice
Cons: Ice machine didn’t work on our floor the air condition didn’t work I could have stayed home for that I sweat all night had to keep going for ice to other floor
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice and clean. Updated rooms were clean and spacious. Convenient to parking garage and to casinos.
Cons: There was only from desk staff for a few hours. If your key didn’t work late at night you were screwed because there was no front desk staff to help you. Walking to our car early morning there was poop right by the door and also noticed there were a few other parts it was at all in the parking garage. That was gross. Ice machine was broken on our floor.
7.0 Good
Pros: The property is right in the middle of everything with great parking and access to the area. The casino is on the opposite side of the street, but accessible via overpass. It is also connected to the Isle of Capri.
Cons: They were in the process of remodeling so there was some minor noise and one elevator that did not go to the ground floor. The front desk was temporarily relocated.
4.5 Okay
Cons: The sheets on the second bed weren't changed, they had crumbs. Bed was sunk in. Shower curtain was dirty.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We were told at check we would receive a free buffet, never did spoke to Staff at Lady Luck and Isle Capri. Finally gave up on it.

Cons: Everything was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The gentleman at the front desk was very kind. Let us know if we needed him at any time over night to call him. The place was clean cute and very quiet. I will definitely be booking again with them. I was in awe when I found out the hot tub was actually part of our room. The chair and couch were so comfortable my husband and I fell asleep on those first before having an even more deep sleep on the comfort if the bed.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: There was an overgrown boxwood shrub blocking 1/3 of our doorway.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice person checked us in. Cute room with lots of pictures and friendly staff.
Cons: When we reserved the motel, the site advertised a hot tub. While the motel did have a hot tub, we were informed that it is not usable during the summer. Toilet was hard to flush.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice owner. We had king room and it was large and clean. Great bed. Nice little outdoor area to sit. Nice and quiet to sleep. Would stay again
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A+ motel!! Check-in was simple and took less than a minute. The room was big, clean and comfortable. Bedding was great and even bath towels were plush and soft. The location was quiet, convenient, safe and close to Mount Evans and Echo Lake.
Cons: The carpets looked a tad old but otherwise the facilities and staff were phenomenal and flooring is the only area for improvement I could find.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the small outdoor garden area
Cons: Unfortunately electricity went out from 7-10 pm as a transformer blew and there was no hot water in the morning. So really did not get to enjoy my stay due to those issues - - almost requested a refund!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The quiet and the comfy bed i love room 3 .its the best king ever! The owners are ever so kind. Need a good nights sleep Stay here!!!

7.0 Good
Pros: It was a place to stay
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location, allowed pets. The most basic of rooms. Did the job for a well priced quick getaway.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a Keurig or some other small coffee pot in the room. Though the gas station wasn’t far. It also would have been good to have some places for dogs to go out, since this is a dog friendly place. A bit of grass instead of rocks. But it worked.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Open floor plan....AC....Microwave .. location was awesome
Cons: No coffee cups ... no hairdryer in room
