10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superbly maintained and decorated B and B. We had the split level apartment which basically means you climbed a small set of about 10 stairs to the living area and then another 10 to the sleeping area. Breakfast is presented in the apartment by the owners (before you get up) with a superb range of pastries, fruits, breads, hams and cheeses - more than we could eat each day. Andre and Nicole do not speak English but they usually have someone around with some basic English if there is a language issue. They clearly take great pride in keeping place clean and well appointed and we thoroughly enjoyed it stay.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very tranquil setting with a lovely garden and pool. Nicole does an amazing breakfast and cannot do enough to look after her guests. Both Nicole and André are superb hosts.

Pros: André and Nicole were excellent hosts - friendly and helpful. They gave us a very warm welcome and were very happy to answer any queries we had. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was blissfully comfortable. There was plenty of space for an additional bed for our son. The ensuite bathroom was excellent with a spacious shower. The breakfast was delicious - fresh croissants, cereal, fresh fruit, homemade yoghurt and jams, eggs, cheeses and cold meat, fresh orange juice, coffee. Fantastic! It was the perfect base for exploring the huge number of chateaux in the area.

Pros: It’s very hard to describe this property. Everything was amazing, the location, the host, the food, the rooms. We arrived late and we were lucky to have Virginie prepare us a delicious dinner. I’m sure we had the best cherry crumble pie in the world. Breakfast included only local and home made delicious goods. The rooms are very clean and carefully designed by the owner - a really nice treat was the freestanding hot tub. Thank you for the perfect stay!
Cons: The fact that we didn’t spend more days here :)

Cons: Nothing it was fantastic
9.5 Excellent
Pros: When you're traveling in the area - while visiting Loire castles, for instance -, La Fouardière is almost like a contemporary inn (or 'auberge'). It totally fits a medieval/renaissance tour. This renovated farm has a timeless setting. It was super-quiet, breakfast was wonderful and our host a delight. We only stayed for one night, and that was excellent.
Cons: Some things look better than they're practical, like the bathtub and its taps.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, super friendly host (who kindly booked us a taxi to a restaurant and ironed our clothes!), great breakfast, great dog!
Cons: An iron in the room would have been handy, but as the host offered to iron for us, it was not a big deal!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great hostess, great breakfast, beautiful accommodation
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The converted farmhouse was a dream. The renovations undertaken by the owner were superb, tasteful, classy yet sympathetic to it's origins. Before arriving, we received an offer of a Table D'Hote Meal and i'm so pleased we said yes, lovely food made from products from the garden and a bottle of reasonably priced local wine. The bedroom had the real wow factor, a huge oval bath was the centrepiece of a modern vaulted room; we were speechless. Absolutely wonderful. Breakfast the next morning was equally good; fresh fruit, yoghurt with fruit and granola, cake baked the previous evening (whilst she was preparing dinner!), the list goes on. The best breakfast of our two week stay in France.
Cons: Nothing at all.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and stylish, with very nice furniture. The breakfast was good. The host has been nice!
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Christine, the hostess of the place, made our week stay wonderful. She helped a lot to organize our visits to the castles. The breakfasts were delicious with home made marmelades, fresh goat cottage cheese, eggs from her own farm and freshly baked cookies, each day different. The hotel is perfectly placed close to the castle but in a very quite natural environment.. One could enjoy evening with a bottle of wine at the terrace surrounded with roses. Pros: Diane de Poitiers room is quiet, spacious with large bathroom. Pool was welcome relief during the 2019 European Heatwave. Evening meal and wine were delicious. Hotel is close to Chateau de Chambord.
Cons: Selection of breakfast items could have included more protein options, such as hard-boiled eggs or meat; it was mostly carbohydrates and dairy.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was lovely and explained everything well in English. It is a very peaceful location with access to lots of activities if wanted including table tennis, tennis, swimming pool, bicycles etc. We didn’t utilise any of this on our trip. There is a lovely shop on site with local information and products. The hostess sold us discounted tickets for the Chateau which was great. The room was large and very clean. Plenty of parking.
Cons: No TV or tea/coffee making facilities in the individual rooms, but this was available in communal spaces, our personal preference is in the room. The hostess made restaurant recommendations which was great however due to our late arrival everywhere was either booked or closed, as a note book in advance. This is no reflection on the hotel just a piece of advice.

Pros: Beautiful room (the Mansard room) with the most comfortable four poster bed... we had such an amazing sleep ! the room really was beautiful and unique with lots of little special touches (soaps, shampoos, water...). Morning breakfast was copious and very nice. A real "chateau" experience which was even better than i had imagined. The family owners of the chateau themselves welcomed us. Thank you for a great stay !

Pros: Magnificent property with ancient Blue Atlas Cedars!!
Cons: The service, history and the subtle but gracious how guests have the option to dine together and exchange stories and adventures
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the access to all of the chateau was lovely, you could choose which room to rest in and spend your time. The addition of the portable air conditioner was much appreciated as it was during a heat wave and to hot to leave the chateau until the afternoon. I liked the fact that it was unhurried and I was left to rest without disturbance after my equestrian event. I found the service perfectly French and without intrusion and the Table d' Hote meal superb.
Cons: am used to international hotel buffets so found the breakfast a little minimal when one is dieting. It was simple french fare delivered on time with coffee and a smile and interaction for the plans of the day and this was pleasant.

Cons: Very inconvenient if you don't have your own transport. No taxis, no ATM's, Taxi only want cash, long walk 2km + to restaurants and shops , most closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, hotel dirty, lots of cobwebs and very expensive relatively.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Arrived to an amazing apartment. Wonderful balcony facing a picture-perfect view of a pond, church spire and rolling hills. The sound of crickets, frogs and cockerels filled the air. A dragon fly perched outside. Very comfortable night's sleep. Felt completely safe and secure. Private parking. Gravel Drive. Well located for Chateau de Chambord, restaurants, cafe's, boulangerie etc. Very reasonably priced restaurant and bar with outdoor seating, facing the peaceful grounds. The manager were helpful and kind, as was the housekeeper. Clearly, everyone enjoys their job here and that is reflected in the warm welcome you receive and the feeling that this hotel genuinely cares for its guests. We extended our stay, last minute, because the area had so much to offer. Definitely recommend to friends and family looking for a peaceful stay in an incredible place, with lots to see and do in the immediate vacinity and close by.
Cons: Nothing. This place is amazing. We have stayed in over a dozen hotels in the last few weeks on our big road trip around France and this is by far the best on every level.

Pros: Nice large room which opened onto a garden with small table and chairs just outside. The owner was very helpful.
Cons: Restaurant was separate to the hotel so no bar. Ate in the restaurant but not that impressed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: rooms were spacious and tidy. There was an airco and for a family it was ideal as there were two rooms conjoined.
Cons: the breakfast lounge was a little cramped.
7.0 Good
Pros: The property is excellent. The only 2 problems we had:
Cons: 1. it is written that there is an AC in the room, for my wife it is crucial, when we got there we were very disappointed to find that there is NO AC. I had to buy a ventilator to get a little bit of air cycling. It was hot 34 - 30 centigrade. 2. the room we have ordered was a disabled room every thing was fine but there was no chair in the shower for disables.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A very warm welcome. A convenient place for bicycles. All first floor rooms with terrasses, so convenient. Room and bed was ardequate. The closeby resto run by the family was delicious and had a bit of charm. The food was varied with a stroke of small town creativeness. The bread was delicious and special. Adequate breakfast in the morning at Hôtel.
Cons: The shower fixture was broken making it hard to take a “real” shower.

Pros: Great location and very pleasant setting. Nice calm property with well decorated rooms and very kind service. Garden is great to enjoy a coffee outside. Breakfast is right what you expect. You feel quite at home and the owner is very helpful. Bicycles available to ride along the Loire. Made a great reservation in Blois for us for a super diner.
Cons: Our bedding was a bit small and even more when you are over 6ft. Would be a good idea to change the mattress.

Pros: The hotel was lovely, with a lovely, clean, comfortable room. The grounds were lovely to relax and walk in and the swimming pool was very welcome after a long day's walking. Véronique provided us with an evening meal at short notice and all the staff were very friendly.

Pros: I'd like to thank Madame Veronicue and Emily who can solve any problem and answer all your questions. They are very friendly and helpful. This wonderful place is worth visiting!
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly owner. Room is nicely decorated.
Cons: The shower.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A completely different experience, like going back in time. A very interesting and pleasing place to stay. Very peaceful and beautiful. Near Blois a very pretty, historical town which has Lots of good restaurants suitable for all ages. The owners absolutely charming and so welcoming and wanted to do everything possible to make us happy and comfortable. It felt like they were inviting us in to their family. They spoke excellent English. We were also given a choice of room which turned out to be a lovely flat slightly separated from the other guests.
Cons: The double bed in our room was a little small but we were offered another room with a very large bed but we chose to stay where we were as it was a separate flat with own staircase and more privacy and also meant we were very close to our children’s room. Not a big problem, but we had to ask for toilet roll each morning. Some of the rugs on the floor very slippery, nearly fell a few times.

Pros: The hotel exceeded all expectations, given that we take reviews with a pinch of salt. Really pleasurable, excellent restaurant down the road, junk shops to explore beside the entrance, and just generally a great place to stay. We'd like to go back.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was especially generous and not expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed the pretty decoration of the hotel which tastefully mixes old and new. The room was spacious and comfortable. We asked for a fan and the staff was very accommodating.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location is great with many Chateaus a stone throw away. Bikes are available for rent at the hotel/B&B (10 Euro per bike per day). Breakfast is really tasty with fresh baguettes and croissants.
Cons: The reception is not manned 24 h. We would suggest not to leave the keys at the reception as they hang in the open whilst the main door is always open. The initially provided Wi-Fi network does not work. We tried 1 laptop and 2 smartphones. They did connect to Wi-Fi BUT there is NO internet connectivity. As there is nobody at the reception, we had to call the owner who gave us password to different network and this one worked. However, the signal was much weaker so only 1 smartphone worked in the room. It seems that this is a recurring issue as others also commented on this.
7.0 Good
Cons: The WiFi doesn't work properly. The coverage was bad.
7.5 Good
Pros: Spacious apartment with outside garden space and kids playground.
Cons: No Air conditioning in the room means we had to sleep with doors/windows open to the outside. Staff was also not the most welcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was super nice! It was my husband's birthday so they upgraded our room and gave us a little gift of local apple juice. The studio room was very cute with a comfy bed and couch.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location good for Blois area. Nice breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Nice to have a small playground in the back. Rooms could use some refreshing (decoration)
Cons: Could hear the neighbors use the bathroom. Not very sound proof.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great service, meet my expectations would recommend staying for one or two nights. Staff was accommodating, peaceful environment. The location is great for day trips to the chateaus. If you're looking for accomidations for a romantic getaway, this hotel isn't it; however it is a charming place to rest your head for the night.
Cons: Rooms are under decorated, could use a bit of a face lift to match the exterior. Overall the cleanliness of the room was adiquite, and the little balcony useful.
