Nice and clean, great shower
Breakfast was a bit disappointing
Hotel was close to freeway but not a great location.
Room was very small, tv hung on wall to right of bed so you had to turn your head to watch it. Front desk person not friendly, not very clean or inviting. Limited breakfast. Ran out of tv not all the towels there should have been in room.
The room was small, but we were only looking for a place to shower and sleep at night. Therefore, it was prefect and anymore would have been a waste. The complete hotel was very clean and smelled excellent. Parking lot was always clean an area felt safe
Friendly Desk Manager! Made a fresh pot of coffee
It's clean and new
Very very very small room. I would advise against if you are staying with more than one person. Not worth the money I paid for it!!!
The Cleaning and Maintenance staff was very helpful. A running toilet was taken care of swiftly. Thank you. The rooms were very clean. I enjoyed the sitting areas at the window.
Breakfast is nothing but carbs. Could use some protein. This was OK this particular weekend due to track meet.
Staff was friendly
Nice room, bed, shower.
Toilet seat uneven, broken off at back on one side, and very low. It stopped up very easily. Very thin walls. Limited surroundings and breakfast.
Bed was comfy as hell
I couldn't find the TV remote for like 5 minutes. Maybe put it closer to the TV.
It was very close to the interstate and easy to locate. Everything was very clean.
The room and bathroom was very tiny, but it was fine for a one-night stay.
Attention to detail - small but complete.
Walls a bit thin. Had the feeling that sound carried.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
It was not clean and the sheets where stained.
easy to get to
rooms to small for the money paid
Location and price
Very small and out of date rooms, but my husband I just needed a place to sleep for a few hours and shower- this met those needs.
They had a room available when some of the other places I tried that night were already booked.
Not a great value relative to other places I have stayed. The gentleman that was covering the desk in the morning was not very friendly.
I needed to stay 3 days in Charleston due to a family member's extended hospital stay and because of the high school basketball tournaments going on I wasn't able to book all 3 in the hotel of my choice. I looked at the ratings at chose Microtel. I'm glad I did. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the room met my expectations. My only real complaint was that a king wasn't available. It appears the place has been renovated recently. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It is easy to get in and out of right off I-64. It may be a tad noisy for some being close to the interstate and CSX railroad but I didn't find this an issue. There also isn't anything really within walking distance but this also wasn't an issue with me.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. We requested early check-in and the room was ready as promised when we arrived. Would stay here again.
traveled with adult son for three day trip to gamble at local casino was very satisfied and would definitely stay here again very good vsalue for the money!
Stayed here after a football game in Oct 2011. It was very comfortable,2 adults and 2 kids (15,4). our four year old was a little excited and noisy and we got in late. Needless to say,the people next door weren't happy. Other than that it was a nice stay.
Rooom was nice, bigger than I expected. King bed was comfortable. I was also pleasantly surprised by the variety of TV channels we had to choose from. We would stay at this location again.
I recently stayed at the Microtel in South Charleston and the renovation are great. The hotel was very clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very neatly arranged even thought the Microtel room are smaller there was enough room to be comfortable. I would recommend this Microtel to all my friends and family. They make you feel right at home.
I spent the night here in September 2008 on business. It was a convenient and the staff was very friendly. The rooms are really small, and I wouldn't recommend it for more than one person. I also felt it was a bit overpriced.
