10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, views, comfortable bed, shower. Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had in a B&B. Sam and Matt were the most friendly, kind and considerate hosts. Fabulous chalet with lovely shared sitting and dining rooms. We also very much liked Frank and Pat, although sadly not everyone will have the pleasure of their company. We were lucky!
Cons: Liked everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sam and Matt were wonderfully welcoming the minute we arrived and made the stay magical; warm, considerate and generous. The chalet was incredible, an absolutely stunning place, the best we have ever stayed in our 15 years of visiting the Alps. Constructed to the highest standards, this accommodation, the detail, the design, the wonderful ambiance of the place were second to none. Communal areas were fantastic with tea and coffee available “on tap” with a luxurious lounge area and great views from the balconies. The room was perfect, very big, a great shower and very comfy beds. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, especially the homemade bread. All in all, I would highly recommend this all year round. Sam and Matt...you were 10/10! We will be back!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole house is espectacular, but Samantha and Mat are just amazing. Their took care of us like if we were part of their family being prepared until the tinniest detail making you feel like you are at your home. They provide us all kind of information as well as advice us to enjoy our stay in an unbeatable way. I can only say that I would love to be able to come back again, because our experience has been INCREDIBLE.

Pros: Sam and Mat were excellent hosts. We've felt like staying home in their cosy wooden Savoie house. We've received nice hiking and dinner hints and chatted in a very easy manner any time we've met them. I'd recommend this accommodation all the time again and wish to come again. The breakfast was excellent and the beds were first class with an entire mountain view.
Cons: nothing!

Cons: Noise was no problem for us, unlike what done others have found - there was live music but barely noticed it.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are superb Facilities and location are ideal
Cons: No faults with our stay
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Miska, the host, is fantastic, friendly and very helpful. She arranged for a 3 course meal one night which was delicious, and great value. She also provided breakfast at 7.50€ each morning, which again was great. The hostel is a 2 minute walk to the bus stop to other areas, and a 5 minute walk to the ski lift to chatel. It's also very close to several ski rental places. We would definitely return.
Cons: It is directly above a bar so there's some noise from there, but they supply ear plugs and it didn't cause any issues really.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Very friendly helpful staff
Cons: Would have been good if there was a bar
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Superb breakfast. Charming, helpful, hostess. Immaculately clean. Comfortable beds with lovely cotton sheets.
Cons: It is quite a long way up into the town without a car. Fortunately we enjoy walking and the weather was good but the uphill trek could be a drawback in the rain! There was no real bus service in the evening.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast. Very welcoming host. Spotless bathroom and cosy, pretty bedroom. Bed very comfortable. The little kitchenette would have been very useful on a longer stay.
Cons: I prefer softer pillows, but this is only a very minor point.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really, really lovely people running the hotel , they were really helpful and let us check in very early as we arrived having travelled thru the night , getting us out to the slopes that day . Great location - parking easy at hotel but also on bus route - easy to get to the best lifts for the whole area. lovely room, more spacious than most ski rooms , nice balcony and view , unexpectedly had kitchenette which was really handy . newly done bathrooms . Great breakfasts. restaurants and bars nearby walking distance, town accessible with car , could have walked tho that might have been a bit of a trek uphill but I did walk home downhill one night which was fine !
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location but within reasonable distance of local amenities. Very friendly staff, we knew just enough of each others language to make ourselves understood. Very well decorated and comfortable room with kitchenette. Great WiFi connectivity. Superb breakfast selection at a good price. Free parking. Easy access 'after hours' via side door. No hesitation to stay again if in that area.
Cons: NIL
Fleur De Neige Hôtel - Châtel - Bedroom
5
9.1 Excellent (232 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Fleur De Neige Hôtel in Chatel, you'll be in the mountains, within a 10-minute drive of Portes du Soleil and Super Chatel Ski Lift. Featured amenities include express check-out, multilingual staff, and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, the view from the rooms, the size of the rooms and storage space.
Cons: In Rooms 21-24 and others on those floors there is no drying space for wet clothes and only one heater on the wall. Nowhere to hang ski jackets or any wet gear so we had to lay it on the floor. Not even pegs to hang it on the wall. I thought a ski hotel would have had this as standard. Niowhere to plug phone chargers in, you had to unplug the heater or the lights and even then a travel plug would not go in most of the plugs so we had to share one charger between us for all our electronic devices, phones, lap tops, shavers, hairdryer etc. You can't stand up to have a shower as there is nowhere to hang the shower handle so you have to hold it above your head. Probably quite easy things to rectify.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant offers great view and serves gastronomic dishes. One of our favorites places in Chatel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fabulous stay with an amazing view of the mountains from our balcony. The room was large and perfectly suited our needs. Chatel is a wonderful place to stay both in the winter and summer. Highly recommended
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great service, friendly helpful staff. Excellent family rooms.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I particularly liked the size of the family room. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding luxurious.
Cons: I thought the spa facilities feel well short of those advertised: the jacuzzi was tiny, the steam room cold and there was so much chlorine in the pool the smell permeated the entire building and caused our eyes to be sore for some time after swimming.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location of hotel for skiing was excellent with bus stop right outside that could take you to either ski location. Coffee and tea facilities in the room, friendly staff, nice restaurant
Cons: There were no stairs to connect the lower floors, not the best breakfast we’ve experienced.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Pretty much everything was spot on apart from parking
Cons: Parking on night of arrival was a problem, as the restaurant guests had used all the spaces - maybe they need to allocate those who stay in the hotel a space?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were very comfy. Staff excellent
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Restaurant exceeded our expectations, superb cuisine. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable clean and well equipped.
Cons: I found being on the street side a bit noisy with traffic and snow plough noise waking me during the night. They only have one bedroom with a bath (rather than shower) on the quieter side.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Complete staff is very friendly. Restaurant is excellent, the best we experienced in Chatel! Breakfast is not "waw", but more than sufficient and fresh. Rooms and rest of hotel are extremely clean. Skiroom is is nice, safe and heated. Location next to skibus. We will surely come back next year.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superfriendly staff, great atmosphere, great food. We got a '4 person room' with a separate room, which was much appreciated!
Cons: We didn't like... to have to go back home...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I booked an economic room, but when I checked in the receptionist told us that we would be settled in a upper grade room with view to the mountains and it was incredible. The breakfast is good with homemade bread and tasty hot chocolate. Dinner served at the hotel is delicious and at a reasonable price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. There is not a single thing i can flaw about this accomodation... the view was spectacular from our room on the 2nd floor, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, dinner was delicious and affordable and the staff were very friendly and spoke quite good english. 10/10!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a family hotel, and you truly feel that vibe during your stay. The staff is attentive, warm, and welcoming. And one of the true gems of this hotel is the dinner and wine selection. We ate there every night, a gourmet French meal, with sustainable and local ingredients, served by a talented chef. The hotel is cozy, and you are welcome to lounge about and enjoy a local glass of wine, personally selected by the house expert. It was so nice to return back to the hotel after a long day of snowboarding and feel like you're coming home (but with the above-mentioned gastronomic benefits!).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fantastic, bed room was great, ski room to keep stuff warm in is great. Very accommodating, they let us arrive at the dead of night and then check out the day before as we were leaving very early. Very close to the lifts. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: More clarity around the breakfast menu and pricing. It seems that the normal breakfast buffet is €8.50 then the bigger breakfast is €12.50, it appears that the only difference is an egg, but I can't be sure. Tasty but I wasn't sure what constituted what.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I recommend this place for jews who Shabbat the owner really tried to help us. With the sensors.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very friendly and always will to help. Very clean.
Cons: It states WiFi everywhere. You don’t get WiFi in your room and if your lucky enough to get it your restricted to 30 minutes. 30 MINUTES!! This is a joke. Don’t state that you have WiFi if 1 it’s restricted to 30 minutes and two you have to sit in the bar! Room service - The only thing they cleaned/ would do is make the bed. We left dirty bowls and glasses on the side, went skiing come back 7 hours later and everything still there. Jesus I know it’s 2 star but come on. A kettle - No kettle to make hot drinks. This is the most simplistic thing you could possibly place in a room. Or at least complimentary drinks at the bar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were extra comfy. Also the hotel owner was particularly kind and welcoming
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay, very friendly staff, comfy bed and smooth check in etc
Cons: The coffee at breakfast could’ve been better
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were incredibly helpful. Just a small walk from town. Provided extra space to keep skis and boots.
Cons: Room was a little small, but we didn’t spend much time in the room. Good value for money!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: I am a frequent visitor to Chatel and wanted to go for a walk down memory lane one more time! I have stayed in this facility several times and always found it to be clean and easy to access, with good parking. The wifi worked well and the staff were very helpful and personable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room Big bathroom Good bed, quiet during the night Very kind personnel
Cons: Breakfast was a bit simple not much choice
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Afternoon sun and view from balcony
Cons: Restaurant closed in low season
6.3 Good
Pros: Clean tidy....
Cons: Didn’t like the surprise when paying the bill That breakfast was a chargeable extra, Booking.com don’t have it clearly stated on their Web site!! And 11€ for a child’s breakfast is Much!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel did exactly what it needed to! Very short walk(cut through Car park using lift) to buses to Pre la Joux to ride Avoriaz etc and only another minute past the bus stop to the main lift for Chatel resort. Rooms nothing fancy but quaint, comfortable, warm and clean. Staff had better English than my French, although not fluent, but even when language was a barrier they were very courteous and happy to help.
7.0 Good
Pros: Stunning views and a homely, warm and friendly reception. My son took a turn for the worse and it wasn’t any trouble having the chef make a soup (off menu) to make him feel better. Small things like this make you remember a place. Dinner serves up Savoiyard (excuse my spelling) local dishes which were rich and generous. Breakfast was good value at €11 Per head and there was free parking as promised. Did I mention the views?
Cons: Pillows - I prefer mine a little firmer but am nitpicking.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I had a wonderful, spacious room with a small balcony. The view was gorgeous. The hotel is centrally located. The breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Though the hotel was overall very good, I suggest two things: - shower curtain in bathroom - soap dispenser instead of these little pouches which are hard to open and produce unnecessary waste.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely decor, very alpine. Dinner was excellent, brilliant dessert. Comfy bed and warm room with great view over mountains.
Cons: Sadly one night one room was having a loud party. Not the fault of hotel as it was stopped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is run by an incredibly hard working family who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay at their amazing hotel in this beautiful, picturesque town.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very comfortable and clean, hotel was quiet, perfect as somewhere to put your head down after skiing!
Cons: It was dated, but all functional!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Warm and friendly team. Truly ski in ski out. Hot tub and sauna lovely treat.

Pros: Great atmosphere generated by very friendly staff. Perfect location for ski in ski out.
Cons: Limited access to the Chatel village/other returants in the evenings.

Pros: Location! The hotel is very cose to Linga lift. We parked up and the car stayed there for the duration of our stay. Everything was within walking distance, ski hire, lift station, ticket office and when we wanted to go into Chatel the bus stop was very near with numerous buses. The rooms were large, very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was fresh, with everything you could wish for and the evening meals delicious. Inclusive in our half board rate there was a set menu serving traditional local foods. The hotel was full and several people gad ordered alternatives which were a little more expensive, and again traditional .... fondue, racalette and huge burgers. The chef was excellent. Our rooms were at the back and over looked a stream and a blue run. (See photo)
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely. Food was all freshly prepared. Hotel was good value for money. Bedroom was adequate size for the money.
Cons: First two dinners were both veal. Very little salad or veg. Tea and coffee should have been complimentary and available in the afternoon and evening.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, very simple. You get what you need like a clean room a restaurant and a simple bar/ common room and a boot room. You don't get or pay for other facilities that you might not require.
Cons: WiFi was a bit sliw
5.8 Okay
Cons: No Curtains on Window which was quite strange getting dressed in the morning with passing walkers on the other side.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved that we could walk to the slopes.
Cons: The building is clean but a bit dated.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic, its 1 minutes walk from the ski lifts and the ski hire places are just across the street.
Cons: You are really limited when it comes to the evening meal. There is just two options each night - It was great food, but limiting if you have a fussy non adventurous child, who doesn't want to do try a fondue, or tartefette You can ask for something else to eat but you have to give 24 hours notice. Problem was we didnt know what was on the menu until breakfast on the day, so couldn't then order something else for the evening. Its a minor niggle. There is good pizza next door, everything else was great.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everyday different breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lorraine and her husband were incredible hosts. They took care of us every step of the way. Very gracious.
Cons: Chatel was early season so not much open. Skiing was excellent but too much snow and rain
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Andy's eggs in the morning. Lorraine and Andy do their utmost to let you feel at home and make your stay comfortable. The atmosphere is friendly and jovial. You need to realize that Cannelle is, by its size, a little society with one (big) living room that you share with other families.
Cons: Unfortunately they did not serve dinner that week. The chalet is too far from town to walk but Andy drove us there.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Quaint and very French!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Owner went out of his way to make me feel welcome, nice view from restaurant and bus stops right outside hotel.
6.8 Good
Pros: This is a very pleasant little hotel in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the centre of Chatel and on the free bus route between Chatel and Petit Chatel. There is a lovely new pool in a separate building adjacent. The views from the rooms on the front are amazing and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. It was very quiet, with only a very few other guests, which was odd for the time of year.
Cons: Traditional bedding with sheets and blankets should be a thing of the past. The furnishings and décor are dated but it was very clean. Breakfast is average and didn't offer any hot food. No dinner was available during my stay as the kitchen staff had been given the weekend off. However, other residents had said that dinner is excellent, when it's available. They could have been a bit more generous with the soap and shampoo in the bathroom.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, amazing views and very friendly. The frequent ski bus stops right outside, so it's very convenient. The one evening meal we had at the hotel was absolutely excellent.
Cons: The hotel really shouldn't be advertising 'free wifi in all areas' - that's simply not true, the routers aren't fully connected up, and booking.com negotiated a partial refund for us because of that (I had work to do, and had chosen this hotel because it said it had Wifi in all areas). It's only available in the bar, with a limited signal in the ground floor lounge. We probably would have eaten more meals at the hotel if they'd displayed a dinner menu as I don't eat meat or poultry.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Overall the hotel was excellent, especially the friendly, helpful staff. Pleasant, spacious lounge, bar and restaurant (tho the restaurant was closed apart from breakfast). Fabulous view from balcony! Easy stroll to Chatel centre.
Cons: Space in the room for 2 adults was tight but adequate. A drying rack in the bathroom would be useful.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Coziness, location, cleanliness and friendly helpful staff, particularly Jean Marc who could not do enough for us . A very enjoyable stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Verry friendly staff, great views 10 minutes walking to the center, nice pool. Skybus in front of the door. Great breakfast
Cons: Hotel needs an update.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, ski bus on the doorstep is very convenient. Staff was very friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very family oriented and would definitely go back.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was as expected from other reviews - so thank you reviewers! Good location for skiing.. not right in the middle of town but bus service is excellent and stops right outside the door. Suggest you head up hill to Petit Chatel rather than downhill to Super Chatel... but you must be a good skier. Easy ten minute walk in the evenings to middle of town and all the restaurants. Hotel was very clean, owners extremely helpful and friendly. Room was not very big - but perfectly adequate and the bed was quite comfy... for someone fussy about beds! Towels typically French - not very big and definitely not fluffy! Swimming pool was good - also very clean, pleasant temperature- NB it’s not actually connected to the hotel... so it’s a short, chilly walk!! Recommend a pair of slippers - for going upstairs from ski locker room and also heading out to pool. At the right price and for a last minute trip - mainly for the skiing - I would return!

Nice swimming pool in town. Owner/operator smart and very helpful.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Location and view were very good and big balcony and actual interior space was good.
Cons: No lighting in Kitchen area. No free use of internet in apartment. Cutlery could have been cheaper? It was bad. Shower was awful as not thermostatically controlled so was running too hot then too cold. 2 single mattresses kept drifting apart. No tea towels to dry dishes. No wash up liquid. No dishwasher tabs. No appliance instructions in English or Dutch or German or ?? Had to ask how to get the fridge to work.

Cons: Decor a bit tired and rooms very small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, very tradition and cosy! Excellent value for money!
Cons: Having to leave!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was typical continental and plentiful. We were late down for Breakfast and they went out of their way to accommodate us. The restaurant was very good we ate three out of four nights and it could have been a restaurant in its own right not just hotel food.
Cons: Cant think of anything
6.8 Good
Pros: Brilliant location- only a few steps away from the bus station and a few minutes walk from SuperChatel lift. Wonderful mountain view from room, and balcony if you wanted to sit out.
Cons: Room was basic and quite small. A bit shabby. Above the hotel was a popular restaurant- expensive, so we didn’t eat there, but half board option for some might be a consideration.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Perfect for a 2 night stay and would have been happy to stay longer. Very clean, tidy and comfortable...what more could you ask for. Boot warmers And open lockers meant dry kit and kept out of the room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant had lots of choice and the food was beautifully cooked. A great ski room with heated boot racks was a welcomed addition. Owners were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.
Cons: Uphill walk to the gondola (no fault of the hotel!) so we used the bus to Linga and Pre de Joux most days which was almost next door to the hotel :)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and helpful friendly staff. Three minutes walk to Super Chatel gondola and thirty second walk to main bus stop in the centre of town. Discounted rates in the underground car park which is next door.
6.8 Good
Pros: basic but warm, great location and staff very good
Cons: bit more modern
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very fiendly family run hotel in a great location to the Super Chatel Lift and local bars and resturants.
Cons: Heating in the downstairs rooms could be improved.
