Pros: Beautiful oasis type setting in the middle of the Namib wilderness.Very relaxing.Excellent host. Very good food.
Pros: Set in the middle of the mountains, no light pollution so perfect for star-gazing. Straight off the C26 so easy to find (only one main road through the mountains). Middle of no-where so perfect if you want to just take a day or two doing nothing. You need to be aware that the property has a very friendly dog and 2 cats. We were ok with them and the staff did remove them if they started to annoy guests eg around the dining area
Cons: The property is well developed to a good standard but it's decor in the rooms could do with a face lift especially the bathroom (eg toilet, toilet seat looked tired and worn and the tiles on the shower gave the impression that it could do with a good clean). Beds were very hard but that's personal taste. We know that we only had a 2 day stay but it would have been nice for someone to just do a quick room check, replenish tea/coffee. check towels etc. Provide bottled water in the rooms would be appreciated. The property clearly states no Internet- what this really means is that there's no free Internet. If you have something agreed with your own provider you can connect. Food was a little disappointing but as it was only 2 nights we survived.
Pros: Good food, vegetarian option
Cons: Rooms didn't lock, no hot water
Pros: Great hospitality from Stefan! Great Oryx steak, lovely stars
Pros: Delicious food, friendly staff
Pros: Fabulous location, great accommodation and food. Great service.
Cons: Being chased by an Ostrich !!
Pros: Beautifully landscaped, nice dining area and bar, and real lodge feeling. Nice ostriches.
Cons: A bit cold for an early breakfast outside.
Pros: The real deal at this stay in the incredible hospitality: both the owners and Stefan are super friendly and helpful. They took us on a night drive around the property and we where blown away by the stars and seeing the farm at night. We only had one night, but a great time! The food was nothing short of incredible! This is perfect for a stop on your way from Sossusvlei to Swakopmund and /or Windhoek. if you have the time, stay more than one night. Worth it.
Cons: We stayed at a budget double. The rooms were clean, but rather old and the beds could not be moved together. Not really a problem though, as we knew what was coming (look at the pics). As we where out of season, the pool already was slightly green-ish.
Pros: Stefan is a great host that made our stay very enjoyable. A must is the sundowner drive, this location is just absolutely fabulous. Another big plus: very child friendly. We found the desert ranch much nicer than locations (e.g. Namib Naukluft Lodge) closer to the Sossusvlei dunes. A perfect place to kick back a few days and take it slow.
Pros: Amazing property that we selected to break up long drive from Spitskoppe to Luderitz. The outdoor eating area and bar are lovely, the included dinner and breakfast top quality. A little bit out of the way but worth the detour.
