Cons:
Car booked was not available (actually turned out was never at that location- was being used as a shuttle vehicle for the employee at the airport Car was poorly maintained (engine check light on, intermittent fault with remote locking key fob that set the alarm off). No one at the “24 hour” drop off location at airport so had to get security guard to phone someone. They pushed extra insurance on us despite us having adequate preexisting coverageOne location in Ambato

The car was horrible. A Chevy Spark with bad brakes and all banged up. I wanted to cancel the reservation and they told me they couldn't refund me for 10 days. They made me wait an hour just to tell me they couldn't simply refund my money while constantly trying to upsell me. Horrible experience.2.0 Poor

Everything was horrible. Service, the quality of cars were miserable. the first car that I got broke down within 20 minutes in the middle of the highway and the replacement refused to go above 40 km/hr. The customer care giggled throughout my panic stricken phone call when the car broke down in the middle lane of a highway when cars were moving at 90km/hr. The engine started emitting smoke. The local agency officials giggled and ridiculed me, in Spanish language assuming that I do not understand anything, for being a women driver. I had to ask them to stop and remind them that I do understand the language even if I do not speak it. Then the giggling and smiling stopped. They refused to return the car before the contract was up. But I could not drive the car cause it was in such a bad condition. They have sexists employees who spent more time making fun of me than trying to solve the problem. I had to leave the car at the location without any written acknowledgement for the return and file an official complain with both Thrifty and better business bureau to get my money back including the deposit which should have been returned with the car. I finally went to Avis who gave me a car in a perfect condition which could easily be driven even in mountainous roads. One location in Ambato
