I inadvertently rented my car from West Hartford when I really wanted the airport. Being unfamiliar with the area, I was not sure of the address. The pickup experience at West Hartford was great, getting there was a little more problematic. When I returned the car, I opted to pay the fee to return at a different location, and picked the airport since it was right across the street from our hotel, so much easier to get to. Everyone I worked with had great customer service.

When I arrived to pick up my rental there were 5 people in front of me all waiting for their rentals. I was told there were no rentals at that time and I would have to wait until the clerk’s supervisor called and told her what to do. She had no idea when I would get my rental. I left there with a Ford Explorer which is a far cry from a Kia compact at about 3:30 pm. I waited 21/2 hrs for that. The clerk was efficient, but the wait and the fact that there was no car waiting was inexcusable as I had a reservation. Why did I reserve a rental at all ?
