The car itself was excellent—spotlessly clean and in great condition. However, the pricing was a major disappointment. The rate on the website seemed very competitive, but upon arrival, I was forced to pay nearly double due to additional insurance fees. The employee insisted these costs were mandatory, citing Turkish insurance laws, and offered no option to decline or choose a more affordable insurance plan. I felt taken advantage of, especially since I had no prior knowledge of these requirements. This unexpected charge significantly soured what could have been a positive experience.
Do not rent from Windycar. They made up a reason I couldn't rent once I arrived to the store and said they would cancel the reservation but did not. After they didn't cancel it I contacted the website, Rentalcars.com, who I went through to finish the rental process only for them to say that since it was canceled after the pick up time I would be unable to recieve a refund even though it was physically impossible for me to submit the cancellation due to them not telling me until after the pick up time, that I wasn't able to rent. Not to mention they said that they would handle the cancellation so it wasn't until I finally took matters into my own hands that Rentalcars.com told me that a cancellation was never submitted until I submitted one but by then it was too late. Windycar is running a scam and I highly discourage anyone rents through them.
