10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff went above and beyond to make our stay incredibly pleasant. The first morning I was asked how I had slept. As soon as I said not very well the bed is a lil firm for me, they added a pillow top and brought a selection of pillows for me to choose from as I had sk for an extra one. First breakfast I asked for eggs and a light cappuccino and the rest of my stay they already knew to bring them when I came in. The owner Andrea is amazing at attention, detail, courtesy and customer service in general. We did not have an opportunity to eat at their restaurant, but the menu and the plates when we got a chance to pass by it looked fantastic. Hoping to return soon.
Cons: Not a thing, everithing was great!
10.0 Excellent

The allocated car space was fun to negotiate ; the room was very clean; the bath room was clean with lovely towels. The air conditioning worked very well too. Bed had crisp sheets and we both slept very well. Breakfast was lovely too with more personal service. Home made pastries; Home made rolls(brill) and again everything clean.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast cappucino made by he owner, the smile of his daughter handling rception and restaurant service. General cleanliness and desire to help.
Cons: Mattresses could be of better quality... Could feel the springs. Pillows were too thin...easily fixed with second pillow. Older style shower in bathtub with no curtain. At the beginning of the village...ok if you have a car to go to various sites. Mid-october is off-season, quieter but less stores open.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, family owned hotel. Guy on the reception was super friendly. We just loved all about it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The quality of food and room cleanliness are simply amazing. There are no words to express about friendliness and cooperation of the staff for anything and everything you ask for, they are always there and eager to help. They go beyond their way to make the stay comfortable and beautiful. I could not ask for more. Highly recommended.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast, very good freshly made barista coffee, very caring staff, room big enough, wifi ok, free parking, location ok, very good value for money
Cons: Breakfast was good, but could be a bit more continental / less sweet/Italian (why do Italians always eat/offer so much sugar at breakfast???) The room was quite old fashioned. I did not like the blanket, it reminds me of the 70ies/80ies. Coming from the parking I did not see any signs where to find the reception (even not in the elevator): just an advice for the hotel...
5.5 Okay
Pros: Free parking.
Cons: Booked this place for two nights, ended up only staying one. The matress wasn't confortable, and the bed was just a structure in metal. The biggest problem was the water. As we turned on the hot water, all we got was brown water, always. When confrontated with this fact, the hotel management told us there was a problem with the pumbling, which they had not told us about. We chose to leave.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good air conditioner, wifi, room safe, bed, bathroom, cleanliness, balcony with a view of the old town, quiet location close to the park and bus station. The hotel has a good reasonably priced restaurant. Unbeatable price.
Cons: Staff were not always friendly/helpful. Window blinds were broken and could not be raised completely, thus making the room a bit dark. Mini-fridge was not functioning. Restaurant was open only 1 hour for lunch and again 1 hour for dinner. Location was too far from town center and good restaurants. Poor sound insulation from adjacent rooms. Breakfast could be improved.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This albergo provides economic and comfortable accommodation, well-located near the town centre and professionally managed by the original owner Reali family. It's one of the cheapest places to stay in town but I was pleasantly surprised that the basic room rate included a very acceptable varied continental breakfast buffet, with home baked cakes and biscuits, too. I tried a light antipasti lunch in the restaurant, and the food and presentation as well as the price was attractive.
Cons: Nothing to complain about. Good value for money but don't expect luxury touches. The double mattress was comfortable foam, the furniture and fittings are adequate and serviceable, and the floors are ceramic tiled.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money and spotlessly clean.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Beautiful view and surroundings.. Nice have a bottle of wine as gift
Cons: The girl from reception was polite and formal, nothing more than employees.. It would be nicer have the touch and the care that most of time, owner of bread and breakfast have for their guests...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a two bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms which was a very nice feature.
Cons: Everything was good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything else. Loved the place itself, the little cabin and rural setting. They didn't bother us with ETA. They were there for our check in when we arrived. Staff was amazing and gave us a bottle of local sparkling wine for our honeymoon. Also great was the breakfast. Best scrambled eggs in Italy.
Cons: Could have a better mattress, shower head was a bit clogged and the top sheet on the bed was full of dust. Minor issues though, all manageable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had the separate apartment and was perfect for a couple. The place is really nice and has everything you need for a comfortable stay and not too expensive. The pool was lovely but the staff is what made our stay even more enjoyable. Marta and Petra exceeded all our expectations of a perfect host! They were beyond helpful and cooperative. Their warmth and hospitality will stay with us forever. Thank you beautiful ladies for this amazing stay.
Cons: Nothing really.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly, the spa was wonderful. Really enjoyed the wine tasting and your ID the vineyard.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The spa is excellent and so was the food! It felt like we were staying with family.
Cons: The towels
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff, including the owner Marta, were amazing. They make you feel at home. Our room was next to the vineyards so the view was beautiful and we could hear the noises of the countryside at night: crickets, birds... It was very peaceful. The location was great to explore the Tuscan countryside and hilltop towns. The cooking class was a lot of fun!! The spa was very relaxing with amazing view!! Try their wines!! Before booking, our advice is to contact them by email to inquire about the spa and the cooking class to get all the information if you are interested in that as they have some schedules and minimum requirements so it's good to tell them your interest in advance. They are very responsive by email.
Cons: Nothing to point out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is on a ridge overlooking some of the most appealing Tuscan countryside around. The outside cottage was outstanding, private and comfortable. The pool was just splendid and as it was hot when we were there we spent a lot of time there. The meals were great and we had our last dinner when a bus group had come. Really lovely meal. Breakfasts were great and Marta knows how to make the perfect cappuccino.
Cons: That I didn’t stay longer.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very accommodating and spoke english. The dinner was phenomenal and authentic; highly recommended adding the dinner to your stay! The pool and spa were wonderful and clean. There's small towns around that area easy day trips as well.
Cons: Beds were a little firm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was great! The Hostess was amazing! She went over & beyond for us! The room super comfy along with the hospitality.
Cons: That the mineral baths weren't open daily. You had to make an appointment for them.Wished we could have used them more.

Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi Airport is 56 km from the property.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a kind of old-fashioned, very clean Pensione, doesn't really have ambience. It's a good price. Everything was overall fine. I appreciated that the owner moved me from the fourth floor to the first on request as I had a very sore foot. Breakfast was okay. Everything is very clean. Can't say anything about location as I didn't go out in torrential rains.
Cons: Hard to find - a sign on the road below would be good. Owners don't speak English which doesn't help when you can't find the place. Building is a bit noisy (not sound insulated), but overall quiet enough. No elevator. A bit of an "institutional" and old-fashioned feeling.

Albergo Martini - Chianciano Terme - Bedroom
8
8.9 Excellent (383 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Albergo Martini places you in the heart of Chianciano Terme, steps from Val di Chiana and 10 minutes by foot from Terme di Chianciano. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, an elevator (lift), and coffee/tea in a common area. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Mr. Martini and his family. The price was good, cheaper than prices at hotels in nearby villages. Very engaging with guests. It’s very 1970s style with few updates so it’s a trip back in time. It even has the telephone booths. The 4-course dinner at the hotel was good, with salad, first and second courses for about €18. The breakfast was fine and if you like pastries like cakes, Mr Martini offers many of his homemade specialties. It’s a fine spot for a night or two stopover to sleep along the way in Tuscany. The hotel has a lot of rooms so you can always count on finding a spot here.
Cons: Parking was up the street, although free, a bit inconvenient. Although there was an air conditioner in the room it was not turned on. If we wanted to use it, it would cost an extra €4-5 for half a day and €7+ for a full day. Although possibly reasonable, not convenient. Also the refrigerator wasn’t available, unless you paid extra. The hallways were dark and it’d be nice if sensors would be installed so to not have to find the hallway switches in the dark. The lime green in the dining room was too much and too vibrant. But it fit the 60s-70s theme.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked our experience from the very start. The staff and the owners were all very helpful, eager to please and to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The town has seen better times, and we discovered a lot of the hotels are permanently shut. This appears to be because going to a health spa for holidays is no longer as fashionable as it once was. We went to the thermal pool "Piscine Theia" for the morning and loved the experience of being in a steaming thermal pool outdoors in Autumn in the Tuscan countryside. The pools are well designed, clean, well maintained and have a good cafe. It's a great addition to the normal holiday activities. The hotel staff were only too happy to lend us towels to take. On our first evening, we decided to eat at the hotel. We didn't realize we needed to give them notice first, and they were very accommodating, so the next night we let them know at breakfast!! The meal was truly a surprise, and far exceeded expectations. They have a good chef at the hotel, and his cooking is country style home cooking. Excellent quality, simple and delicious. They had a small buffet table with antipasto and vegetables, and then they served 4 courses. I can only say excellent value for money, and it would be difficult to find a better meal in a family style restaurant. Breakfast was typical Italian, with delicious cakes and biscuits home made. They also had cereals and yoghurt, bread with cheese and salami and prosciutto and fresh fruit. MMore than adequate. The location is great, hence I can't understand why there are so many hotels closed. Close to Montepulciano, Val D'Orca, Pienza and so many other lovely villages and towns. Chianciano is a great place as a base to explore this region, and it would be difficult to find a better package than at Albergo Martini.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff. Incredibly kind and helpful! Also, the room and lounge were very clean.
Cons: There is no parking; only street parking. The bar fridge in the room did not work well and there was an extra fee to use it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mr. Martini, His Wife and Staff were attentive, courteous and made sure that everyone felt like part of their family at all times. Mr. Martini also educated us on all areas to visit and see along with the history of such. I recommend this hotel to all who wish to have a true Tuscan experience. Tom Sottile and Margaret Sottile Toronto, Canada
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly stuff, good breakfast with home-made cakes.
Hotel Tirrenia - Chianciano Terme - Building
9
9.0 Excellent (109 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Tirrenia in Chianciano Terme, you'll be a 1-minute walk from Val di Chiana and 13 minutes by foot from Terme di Chianciano. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Air conditioning in the room was superb. A lot of hotels in the area did not offer a/c, and many of them control the a/c from a computer system. The room had its own wall unit that kept us very comfortable during the hot July days. The room was also very clean! It's not a brand new hotel, but you wouldn't have known that from the updated furniture, and exceptionally large bathroom. There were also ample towels for all 4 of us, which is not a common occurrence in a lot of European hotels. The electric shutter was wonderful, being that the sun is up at 6am. The family is very welcoming and attentive. It felt like you were staying at their home, without feeling uncomfortable about taking up space. We had a lovely stay for our Tuscan weekend adventure to Montepulciano and surrounding areas.
Cons: The bedding sheets were not the softest. A couple of soft pillows along with the firm ones would be perfect. Maybe add some boiled eggs to the breakfast and a pot of coffee for the table.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located near the road but still very quiet, the bedroom and the hotel are very clean ! The owners are kind and you feel welcome. The bedroom is fully equipped and we had a balcony. There is a free parking too. We didn't tried the breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely helpful and nice staff, we had a nice conversation in spite of not speaking English, it gave us a very positive feeling :) Room very clean, everything you need for a night when travelling around Tuscany by car. Parking available. We would stay there again with pleasure next time. Molto grazie :)

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed, room had lovely view of green hills, spacious bathroom. The receptionist was most friendly and helpful, recommended restaurants without prompting, told us about the local festival where we ate excellent local dishes.
Cons: The only drawback was its location, which was 20 minutes from the historic centre.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location - very close to the main attractions and Appareto station. Stuff is very friendly. Room is very clean.
Cons: No elevator - just be aware.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy room with lovely view, fresh and shining. Very comfortable bed. Quiet fridge and air conditioning. Very handy and bright bathroom with shower. Tasty breakfast, prepared with heart (fruits, home made cakes, coffee/tea, cheese, ham). Very kind and helpful staff caring about high quality.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bathroom is really clean and nice. The hotel is located in a really good place.
Cons: The pictures gave the hint that the room is much prettier than it is. Though it was small but comfortable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location near the town and within Tuscany. Great breakfast - good choice of local produced food. Stephan was a brilliant host arranging electric bikes and maps and making suggestions for road trips in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing food, 5 course dinner each night was a highlight, wonderful setting and swimming pool. very helpful staff/family owned farm who gave pointers on where to go in the area. Great little farm with animals and lovely family running it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Incredibly friendly staff and owners. Always prepared to help. Fantastic customised advice for day trips. A very good location to explore the Val d’Orcia.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Genuine family-run agriturismo in Chianti region with home-made wine and olive-oil. Lovely views of Chianciano and strolls through vineyard, olive grove and fruit orchard. Fantastic 5-course dinner made with home-grown and local produce - at a very good value price. Very helpful staff, who provided expert practical advise on activities, itineraries, etc.
Cons: The lighting in the rooms were a bit dark.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts at this property were extremely friendly and helpful! We had travel delays and arrived very late, they were gracious and met us when we arrived. Slivana helped us with our laundry and Stephano was very helpful with local information; he is also a fantastic cook!
Cons: We stayed in one of the apartments around the corner from the Agriturismo. The place was simple but peaceful and quaint. The apartment has two bedrooms and a kitchen but there is no other common living space. It worked out ok but it would have been nice to have a living room area of some sort. Also, it was extremely hot the week we were there. It is generally very pleasant in this area but a fan would have been very helpful during this week as there was a heat advisory the entire time we were there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were a family of 5 and stayed in the 3 bedroom apartments beside the main house. Everything about staying here is great. The pool, our rooms, the kitchen, the bathrooms, the food and the surrounding areas is perfect. Stefano and his team couldn't have been more helpful. You must have a car to stay here in my opinion. Very safe area . We didn't see any evidence of crime or so-called "bad" areas. Really good COOP supermarket 3min drive away with everything you need. Beer and wine really inexpensive compared to Ireland. Loads to drive to and see in the local areas plus Florence, San Gimignano and Siena are all easy day trips in the car. Overall I highly recommend staying here and will probably return here on a future holiday to Tuscany.
Cons: Nothing to do with the facilities but you will need some mosquito spray for the late evening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were so accommodating and pleasant, beginning with the owners, all wonderful folks. There meals were awesome. From fresh warm breakfast crossionts and other bakery treats, fresh juices and delicious coffee of your choice. The dinners were the very best we had while in Italy for 35 total days. Better then meals we had in Rome, Florence, Cinque Terra, and Amifi coast. It only compared to our stay in San Giovanni in Fiore when we enjoyed meals with our family. Such a beautiful property with such beautiful and amazing views of their vineyards and olive orchard and their home grown delicious red wine. When we return we will stay here again❤️
Cons: Not a thing. Stefano and his wife even guided us to places to see within an hours drive, some amazing old, old towns to see and experience.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was a very pleasant stay indeed! Relaxed atmosphere and a splendid view over the old town makes it a great place. We tried the dinner at the restaurant of the Agriturismo and it deserves a 5star, too!
6.8 Good
Pros: Tuscany is beautiful and staying in the country is lovely. Stefano does help you map out a route to sightsee if you are interested.
Cons: The apartments are actually on a neighbours property not Agritisimo La Pietricia -150m away from the farm. The view and pool are nothing like the photos advertised. Summer is warm in Italy and the apartments did not have fans as stated. We were then charged 40euro for 6 nights of air conditioning. Plus the unit in the main bedroom was very noisy. When we arrived we were told their would be a charge for air con but we're shocked at the price we ended up paying. Nowhere else in our 3 week trip in Italy did we have to pay for air conditioning.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great food and wine and fantastic location.
Cons: Too much chlorine in the pool and a lot of small insects in the room. Would be better to try and clean that out beforehand. Bed was pretty hard like most in Italy.

Pros: The lady at reception gave us lots of information about the area. The tour of the gardens is a must. Also, the lady that fixed our breakfast was supper sweet and made us capuccino's every morning!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is our 2nd stay here, and we loved it! The area is so picturesque, and the B&B is located in the middle of the most lovely farmland. It is so peaceful and quiet, we relaxed immediately upon our arrival. The rooms are spacious, bright, and functional with the most beautiful views out the screened windows. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. A tour of La Foce's garden is included, and not to be missed. We hope to return again soon.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic view, a very relaxing and peaceful pool area
Cons: They closed the pool area completely without announcing . I did not get the advantage to have two separate beds in the room instead a bigger double bed.

Pros: Panoramic views with beautiful weather in July was awesome!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property is newly built and is remote and quiet. It has wonderful views and beautiful sunsets. We were there with our adult children (in their 20's) and they loved it as much as we did. Rooms are large with beautiful windows that open and allow the cool breeze at night. Bathrooms are new and very nice. We will definitely stay here again!
5.8 Okay
Cons: The room is very expensive even though B&B has a good location with a good Val D'Orcia view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is just a dream. The house itself is beautiful, and the views from it even more so. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a more stunning place to stay for part of our honeymoon. Our room and bathroom were incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean, which we found to be a rare treat after staying in more tight-quartered spaces during other parts of our trip. Our stay here felt like a luxury. The breakfast was superb. Every morning, we had our pick of prosciutto, cheese, bread, croissants, cake, yogurt, fruit, cereal ... and of course, delicious cappuccino. I dream of the day when we can come back and stay for a longer visit.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: simple, genuine, atmospheric , no frills and unpretentious surrounded by a working farm in classic Tuscan landscape

Pros: Fulvia Castranelli was an excellent and hospitable host. I would go back to La Vittoria in a heart beat, and hope to do so sooner than later. She made us traditional Italian breakfast every day, recommended us to an excellent & unique restaurant - La Chiusa (a Michelin starred restaurant) which happens to be owned by her husband, gave me the recipe to my favorite pastry (wine cookies!), taught us how to make pasta on last minute's notice, gave us several excellent recommendations, taught me and my friends a lot about the Italian region and tradition, and lastly she was always there to greet us in the morning and to wish us good night when we returned home. I loved my stay at La Vittoria, and Fulvia made it memorable and special.

We didn't try the evening meal, which is available as an extra. The proprietor was friendly and helpful, and gave us maps of the town and local area, and his son also spoke excellent English. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, nice breakfast, comfortable room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Upon our arrival we immediately noticed the huge oak (quercia) giving the name to the location, and the graceful villa built next to it on top of a hill. The room was spacious, the bathroom ample with a generous marble shower comfortable for two. The facility offers breakfast but no kitchen service, so we went out while the were preparing our spa. It's an amazing experience that I can't but recommend: Spa at night everybody should try, it's so relaxing! Staff is welcoming and attentive, services are good. Internet is not enough to do serious stuff, but passable for keeping in touch.
Cons: Can't complain about this facility, everything was prefect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the beds are super comfy, the bathroom is soooo big! We had a great view
9.5 Excellent
Pros: style of house
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Our host was friendly and very helpful. He booked a restaurant for us and arranged for a massage in the spa for my husband. The massage was very good. I enjoyed sitting out on the terrace, drinking a cup of tea in the afternoon!
Cons: Breakfast was good except it would have been better if the eggs had been cooked when we arrived for breakfast rather than before hand. The air conditioner wasn't working the first night, but was fine thereafter. Thus the "Good" rather than "Excellent" rating.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room we had on the ground floor was comfortable & clean. If stairs are not your forte, make sure you book this room, as all the others are accessed via a spiral staircase! The bed was comfortable, bed linen & towels were white & clean, air con worked well.
Cons: We just had an overnight stay there, to break the journey from Northern Italy, planning to arrive into Rome the next day for our flight home. We had requested a ground floor room, & sent a later email to them to confirm same. When we got there, the man at reception told us that we had an upstairs room, via a spiral staircase! We refused, & then it was arranged for the vacant downstairs room to be cleaned & made ready! This was really disappointing! Breakfast was ordinary & very boring. There is a lounge for use of guests, but when we arrived it seemed to be for the use of the people running the hotel & off limits to guests, as it looked like it was part of their home!
