Not a thing did I not like
Location The cleanliness of the room
Location. Floors needed cleaned badly! Housekeeping did not restock towels.
Paul at the front desk is the biggest asset to this hotel. He is horribly overworked and obviously under appreciated but with us he was amazing! He seems to be the ONLY one concerned about this place. Sheets, toilet and sink clean. Cigarette smell, musty, damp feeling carpet, dirty a/c filter that made us congested. black mold on shower ceiling. NO attention to cleaning details. Run down, unclean and shabby. A real missed opportunity for the owner for simple fixes! BAD housekeeping
The beds were comfortable. There was trash in our room that housekeeping had missed.
Not many guests, so plenty parking. 'Free breakfast' a joke; ate elsewhere. Stained room carpet. Twice had to phone hotel to locate desk clerk, while standing at front desk. Wife has asthma; got non-smoking room, but adjoined a room full of smokers; changed rooms after arguing w/ clerk.
Very convenient and inexpensive. Nope, I just needed a place to sleep.
Cheap rate for the hotel however next time I will book at a hotel with indoor pool.
i stayed here twice so far had no problems had a great time getting ready to go back there again nice peaceful stay there every time
The hotel is located very close to Chattanooga, TN and some of the great scenic areas around the city (Ruby Falls and Rock City). The room was a descent size and very clean. The staff was also very helpful and nice. There were a few issues with the room...the hotel is next to a bowling alley or skating rink and there were a lot of kids in the area. I was somewhat fearful that my car would be vandalized or damaged but all was alright. Another issue I faced was a half naked, drunk patron outside the room that kept moaning. I called the hotel staff and they were extremely helpful in contacting the police.
We didn't expect too much for the price - but was very pleased. Clean, well maintained and freindly. Breakfase and free internet. Very good Mexican restaurant just down the street! Great!
Our reservation was for a non-smoking room and we were given a smoking room with no option to change. We couldn't sleep due to the smell and we took it with us into the car.
Clean. No smells. Great air. Reasonable beds. Fridge and microwave really nice people. Breakfast simple but nice. We will go again if we go to Chattanooga
We stayed at this hotel b/c of the great price. The front desk staff was friendly, however the room was dirty. The carpet was so nasty that after only 5 minutes of being in the room, our feet / socks were black from the grime. We were very unhappy since we were traveling with a toddler and we had to try to keep him off the floor. Had to scrub the tub before we could give our child a bath. Also there is very limited parking and we had trouble finding a place to park.
Wonderful stay. Accomodations were delightful. Will stay again.
nice clean hotel, friendly staff
Be careful if you are approaching this hotel from I-24 (from the north), it is sitting in a curve and you will completely miss the entrance if you don't exactly where you are going. Upon arrival, the front desk clerk was nice and was aware that I had several family members staying there, and gave me the room numbers of all of them. Upon checking into the room, we found that the housekeeping staff had overused some type of air freshner, and the room was almost sickening from the sweet smell. The room was nice, clean, and of the average size with two queen beds. Front desk clerk will call and check if everything is fine about 5 minutes after you check-in. Our microwave did not work, and would sound an alert every minute, but we just unplugged it. The bathroom is on the small side and you just about had to stand in the tub to close the door. The pillows were thin, but one could compensate by folding the pillow over. Parking was just outside the door, and filled up quickly. Pool is really small, and is between the hotel and busy Lafayette Road, so if you are afraid of being seen in your swim suit, you will probably not visit the pool. We had no problems with the location and location was a main reason we chose this property, but it could be hard to exit the property and go north towards Chattanooga during the morning and afternoon rush hour. If you are traveling to Battlefield Parkway, south, or to Chickamauga Battlefield National Military Park, location is not a problem. Breakfast was a average continental variety. Front desk during checkout was quick and added some humor to the morning. I would certianly stay again.
Decent for what I paid, but staff was rude and unhelpful.
This is the worst motel we have ever stayed at...not clean, did not have spare toilet paper, no kleenex in tissue holder...beds worn out..shower needed cleaning...overall it has turned me away from staying at any Super 8 motel again..and we were Super 8 card holders.....
The staff was friendly The bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way, there wasn't any light bulbs in the lamps. You couldn't see out of the peep hole and the head board kept falling down. There was a tv channel guide.
It was cheap and located near where we needed to be in Lafayette and saved us driving from Dalton or even Chattanooga. Room was clean and staff was nice. Always nice to stay in a non smoking room that doesn't smell of smoke. Bed was a little stiff that's about the only complaint.
