Il Patriarca is a fine and elegant ancient Countryhouse. We loved the rooms and their classical style. The garden and its wood are delightfull. The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull. Once we had dinner in the Gourmet-Restaurant and we were suprised to be the only guests there - especially because it was a fine dinner. Twice we ate in the Trattoria - that was o.k but nothing really to remember. To summarise it: a fine Hotel with decent prices - we wondered how they can survive. Il Patriarca has a fine Breakfast-Buffet, but unfortunately nobody's responsable to refill it. When you are an early bird that doesn't matter but when you are a longsleeper that is annoying.
The grounds were beautiful; rooms were lovely; the staff was extremely helpful. We wished we had more time to spend here.
tranquillity no safe
staff, food, pool
Very helpful and attentive staff, not afraid to admit when they made a mistake. Great value for money a wonderful room with excellent service No
Great room. The Taverna was excellent for eating and modestly priced. Staff were all friendly and helpful
The swimming-pool is wonderful, but all the rest was mediocre The service was not worth 4 stars
Very friendly staff. Verry convenient location.
Small friendly atmosphere Bugs
location, size of the room and infinity pool
very nice hotel in a beautiful italian town on the countryside. On a business trip, it gives you energy for the day after staying in such a cosy place.
Overall, I liked thehotel very much. breakfast
Beautiful old building - very elegant and gracious, with a walled garden entrance. Cappuccino machine at breakfast!
Location, staff, restaurant, view parking
very pleasant surroundings . staff helpful.restful and lovely location poor breakfast. cold 'hot' choice and synthetic fruit juices

location,cleanliness,service,good restaurant,large quiet room
I went for a friend's wedding. Fantastic location, beautiful clean hotel, staff very friendly & helpful, great food.
The Welcome. The immediate atmosphere. The high quality of interior design. The room. The staff. The inovative cuisine. We all loved it and will return. not applicable
This is a family run operation. The Husband-Wife duo are a most generous and kind couple who do everything to please the guests. It is a relatively big hotel, yet this beautiful couple allow nothing to fall through the cracks. I am very pleased. Maybe the shower part was a bit deficient. But the service was so great that I am happy that I stayed at Rosata.
We enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the hotel. Very well themed and everything was exactly how you would imagine a tuscany hotel to be like. We also had an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant having it served whilst sitting in a converted fiat car!.
The hotel was easy to access, the owners were friendly and welcoming and the hotel/room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was reasonably priced and the food good.
Just 300 mt away from the city center makes this place a very relaxable one (in summer, the village has lots of people in the streets at night). Given it's nature, breakfast (the only meal that we've had at the hotel) could be improved, not only in variety but also in the nature of the products available (more natural/local products).
It is a lovely hotel in a quiet location close to a charming non touristy town. The pool and gardens are very attractive as are the bedrooms and public spaces. The breakfast was very ordinary and not good quality. The restaurant was effectively closed because it was being prepared for a wedding on the coming Saturday (we were there Monday and Tuesday). That was very disappointing.
The setting was beautiful; the staff attentive, friendly and helpful. The pool could have been a bit cleaner and it was not heated. It was OK, however, just not quite as nice as the rest of the hotel.
The grounds were beautiful, staff were very friendly and the restaurant was good. Again, I didn't like being misled about the availability of a pool. It was big factor in our choice and it was a big dissapointment. The website should clearly state the dates the pool is in service (after June 15th)
We enjoyed the beautiful, secluded and relaxing/stylish environment of the Arco, with its pleasant pool and interior areas. Good local access to many places of real visitor interest. We were pleased to use the Arco restaurant two nights but the choice of food was ultimately a bit limited.
The most important aspect of this hotel is the friendly, almost 'family'-atmosphere you get from the owners. The kitchen is excellent. No effort is too much for th owners concerning service, information, help, ... Lovely place with great views, and the house is a really cosy, romantic place. Very near to the great Wineroutes in Toscany and a good basis for visits to Sienna, Orvieto, Perugia, ... We'll go back! The menu in the restaurant is a bit small if you stay for more than a week, as we did.
I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and the location in Chiusi. The hotel was a little sad in terms of decor, just lacking maintenance such as painting the entryway.
Very nice room, they let me choose. Nice owner, helped me with my luggage and gave me a lift to the station on my way home. Great breakfast by choice in the cafe at the next corner, paid by the hotel because of my long stay. The hotel is located 5 minutes on foot from the Duomo and 5 minutes on foot from the bus stop to other Tuscan cities. Value for money excellent considering it is Italy. The shower is not separated within the bathroom, so that you water the whole floor, but I learnt to deal with it. There are lots of stairs to the rooms, so it might be difficult for some people (it wasn't for me).
Our stay in room 12 was most pleasant. A corner room with small balcony giving a view of the nearby countryside. Huge bathroom with tub and all the amenities. Although the hotel has no bar, a breakfast of hot drink and a pastry was provided gratis at a bar located two steps away. The room was certainly large enough but could have used more flat surfaces on which to organize personal posessions. It did not bother us but be forewarned, the hotel has no elevator.
The manager was extremely friendly and helpful, giving us a lift to the office of the rental car company. This had moved from its expected location and he helped us find the new location. Without his help we should have been in considerable difficulty.
Location was acceptable and near several good restaurants. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Did not like having to park in public parking are so distant from hotel
Fantastic location in Chiusi, right beside the town and great base for walking about the town. room was very clean and despite no aircon the rooms were cool and comfortable It's a little basic, but you get what your paying for. No breakfast included and not offered at the desk on arrival as an option. Hallway on the second floor smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. Maybe pick a different floor
It sutted us very well
The owners of this family-run hotel are welcoming, professional, and very helpful. I came here as part of a painting holiday, so for me a light, attractive room with a good view was important. Roberto kindly showed me a few available rooms, to let me choose. Individual rooms here offer different characteristics, e.g. more space, cool and quiet at the back, most up-to-date bathroom, finest panoramic views - so it's worth expressing any preferences you may have. The hotel was spotless throughout, pleasingly old-fashioned and well cared for. I enjoyed a comfortable, relaxing stay and would happily return. There are little cafes and restaurants within a few minutes' walk and this is well placed for strolling around the old town. Grazi!
Location is great. Owner was very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and most of all, air conditioned.
