Pros: The front desk staff and the breakfast attendant was pleasant.
Cons: One of the beds was rock hard, the other had a huge dip in the middle that made us end up sleeping on top of each other. The indoor pool was warm but smelly. The hot tub was the same temp as the pool.
Cons: Bed was sagging in the inner part. Outer perimeter of mattress was like a small wall. Slept on it okay but was weird having a slight blockage when getting out of bed.
Pros: Hard to say, just a decent hotel
Cons: Was unable to switch to a handicap room.(forgot to do so during reservation process)
Gateway Inn & Suites is a great choice for a stay in Dillard. Guests can take a dip in the indoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day. Bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves are offered in all rooms, along with flat-screen TVs and free WiFi.
Pros: The hotel room was clean, and so was the bathroom.
Cons: Lock on door broken, worn carpet, furniture and mattress, all in all, room had seen better days.
Pros: The location was great, the mountain views were nice. bed was surprisingly comfortable.
Cons: the room smelt of mildew and the hotel looks like hasn't been updated in years. the ceilings are paper-thin, the people above us stomped around all night. no sleep. heat/cool unit when running made eyes water and throat close up, had to shut off.
Pros: easy to find
Cons: in poor condition, plywood floor on 2nd story walk way, bugs in room, poor breakfast, broken tiles in bath, not enough towels, skimpy soap and shampoo that were very hard to open, light bulbs too dim to read, very poor, frustrating experience!
Pros: We had a fantastic experience! This is a family owned hotel and they truly go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. Do not hesitate to stay here, you will not be disappointing, especially at this price point.
Pros: Large room, quiet and comfortable. Clean. Second time staying here.
Cons: The sink is in the bedroom next to a bed not even across from the bathroom. A little inconvenient but still usable. Very limited breakfast.
Pros: beautiful view of mountains, pleasant local restraunts smiled each day and was plesant
Cons: pictures in web site were a lie they showed a rocker in front of each room our friend just had back surgery and liked the idea NO rocker Hotel Employee said for extra charges they would get him a rocker for his back
Pros: Really, nothing.
Cons: I should have known it was a 1 star pretending to be a 2 star. This is a mom & pop hotel with a lot of deferred maintenance. No noticeable upgrades for the last 10 years. You can see through the towels (they have that sandpaper softness). Avoid this plac
Pros: The rooms were clean, staff friendly and very accommodating. The continental breakfast was small but sufficient...overall for the motel being old but kept up well we were well satisfied with our stay.
Pros: Nice remodeled rooms.
Cons: Skimpy breakfast.
Pros: Room was clean and spacious. Lady at counter was nice.
Cons: Interesting wooden stairs and wooden deck upstairs. Room on end with stairs nearby.
Mountain Valley Inn Dillard is a great choice for a stay in Dillard. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and free perks include continental breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: The room was large and very clean. Adequate lighting. The sink and vanity were separate from the shower which I prefer. It appeared to have updated furnishings. It was very quiet and off the road enough to not hear much road noise. There were several excellent restaurants close by.
Cons: We had to stay in a smoking room which we knew that going in but the room was saturated in smoke smell.
I had some items set aside next to our things on the dresser that were nowhere near a trash can but one of the cleaning staff threw them away while we were away from the room that day. These items had receipts in them that we needed from the trip.
Pros: Nice people and the room was basic but clean. If you're looking for a place to sleep and a value it's a great choice.
Pros: Clean room good bed great price
Pros: Loved the place overall, awseome staff, quaint but not to small, great location, rooms were nice. Likedthe fact that there a lot of things in walking distance.
Cons: The beds are on the hard side, and in a wing of non smoking rooms there are two smoking rooms at the end of the hallway which in our case the odor spiiled out of those rooms, so if you are really smoke sensitive specificlally request a room away from the smoking rooms.
Cons: Thin front door, poor locking hardware, dingy drapes in bathroom, No hair dryer
Pros: Easy access. Located in a good place that gave me easy return to the Tallulah Gorge to hike the next morning, the purpose of my trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking right in from of room. Access to various restaurants and shopping in the immediate area.
Cons: Very, very dated, with old fixtures, furniture, bathroom.
Window heating unit took a while to get things warmed up, but then the temp overnight in the room was adequate.
Functional for an overnight stay on the way to doing something else, but I would not want to stay more than one might here if I didn't have to.
Cons: Two problems. We booked a room that offered a pool, and the pool was filled in with pine straw. I was in town on business, and I brought my girlfriend who had the week off of school. She bought a bathing suit since we were looking forward to swimming.
They advertised that they offered wifi, which is important for me to run my business. I got full wifi signal but there was no connection and I was not able to even pull up a web page from my room.
Without wifi and a pool, this was not a good value for the money since I payed almost $200 for the room for two days.
