Staying in comfort in a magnificent historical building Repetitive background music in the grounds
perfect view, nice environment
Everything! It was sheer bliss. The location was wonderful and the staff could not have been more helpful. The service was absolutely first class.
The beautiful building and location. The car access barrier entry system remote from the main building. We rang the recepetion buzzer four times over a five minute period and never had any reply. We only got through the barrier because finally another car was exiting! It was stressful having to'jump' the barrier and not suitable for a 4 star hotel. The reception member of staff did not apologise and simply said he was 'on the phone' and couldnt answer the buzzer. This seems quite unacceptable as an entry system. It beggared belief that he couldnt see/respond to the buzzer while on the phone at the same time.He did not apologise or give any indication that he was concerned for our inconvenience and remained unsmiling throughout.A poor welcome to a lovely place, what a let down.
The pizza resraurant The wine cellars were always closed. On mondays the main restaurant is closed. The rooms are definately not for cat-swingers. The furniture was more S/H Ikea than antique.
The place and park Restaurant was closed, but food in pizzeria was very bad.
The castle and staff were wonderful. The spa was very nice as well. My husband and I never left the hotel because there were so many things to do at the castle.
great breakfast rooms are small - general comfort is poor
Beautiful location Room that showed on the website did not match the one we were given and the bathroom was extremely filthy. The hotel staff did not believe this until we printed out the picture from the website. After that they changed our room. Website did not state that the pool cost 18 euros per person per use and that parking was free as long as you were willing to walk up the mountain. This hotel is for people with too much money and not enough sense. If you want to see the castle stay down at the town for cheaper and walk up.
Superb hotel. Very kind staff.
the man in the restaurant, food and villa- magic place nothing
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was large and comfortable with a beautiful view of the swimmingpool and the green hills in the background. We booked a family room + an extra bed. We were pleasantly surprised to be allocated a suite with a connecting entrance hall. Bathrooms were fresh and modern. Both rooms had a lot of individual character. Villa Soligo is a perfect place to relax and get away from things. It is not a big hotel in terms of number of rooms and this helps to maintain the calm and relaxing feeling. Although we travelled in the height of the summer season it never felt crowded in the hotel, in the hotel grounds or around the pool. Very relaxing. The beautiful, historical building is an added bonus. We missed not having tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The staff were happy to provide a pot of hot water and cups but this, of course, was not as quick and convenient. The service of hot drinks at breakfast was not that efficient and the breakfast buffet was a little boring. More types of bread and some sliced tomatoes, peppers and cucumber would be good. The TV in our room did not work well, but this was not a problem to us as we did not want to watch TV on holiday anyway. The shower cubicle was not water proof as some water always leaked on to the floor when showering.
The suite was fantastic. We booked a quadruple room and they gave us a marvelous two room suite. The restaurant is also very good, with very nice staff.
It's a very nice place to stay, quiet and nice, it's the ideal starting point for discovering the surrounding area
the park, the view, the feeling of being received in a almost family run manor, the relax at the pool side, they are dog friendly the pool attire is a bit rundown, but this is also part of the flavour
The staff was tremendous, including Andrea at the front desk and Nello and Matteo at the restaurant. The hotel's restaurant is wonderful, with a beautiful room and delicious food and wine. The pool and gardens are very nice, especially the pool overlooking the vineyards.
Staff, pool, comfort, friendliness, breakfast, and staff member Andrea! No
Very very nice little villa within a beautiful scenary. The staff was very serviceminded and showed a great hospitality. The restaurant was very charming with the old guy who worked both as a chef and waiter. If you stay at this hotel you should definitely have a visit at the restaurant Location. A bit difficult to find
The hotel charged us 20 euro more than we had agreed to pay. Left feeling like we had been robbed. Not happy!!
The architectural structure of the hotel, the views of the river was excellent. underground car park is a plus. Pieve di Soligo is a nice town. Old furniture
Everything very nice. Thank you.
How hospitable everyone was and how easy it was to get around. The location was perfect and the staff were great.
Location - Friendliness of staff - Complete and good breakfast. It would be nice to have a kettle to make tea coffee in the room/suite.
Very friendly and helpful staff, large room, underground parking included, excellent Enoteca next door (good food and the extensive winelist is very reasonably priced) Housekeeping was just a bit loud in their enthousiastically performed morning duties. Just something I notice in a lot of hotels.
Lovely small pool, attractive bedrooms. The gourmet dinner was not cheap, but excellent. We used it as the final one-night stopover en route to Treviso airport, but not sure if I'd want to eat such rich meals on successive nights. Everyone seemed very geared to the restaurant side of the business which is excellent, but a little unsure how to provide service for overnight guests. Breakfast was good but very slow, we would have been worried if we had needed to get an early start off to the airport. They were very helpful with lots of suggested instructions for the airport but our advice would be to obtain them yourself before you go !
The place is reali nice, the rione Are cozy and the restaurant is top class None
wonderful house with a fantastic view and the best ever food. nothing
Maverlous location with astonishing view. Very nice and service-minded personell. Situated close to all Prosecco wineyards. Dining at the hotel is quite expensive.
Room was clean. Building was superb. We did not know, but the might we were staying - the bar and restaurant were Closed! That was the main reason for going there, a good bar and restaurnat on site. there were no.drinks available, not even tea and coffee in the room. We had to drive out for dinner and had a key to get back in. We couldn't complain as we don't speak Italian. If we had known, we would have stayed in. the equivalent to a travel lodge.
