10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was very charming, decorated with a lot of taste. The lady was very friendly. She cooked us breakfast including freshly squeezed orange juice, home baked croissant and bread, she bought especially gluten free products to suit my gluten free diet. It is also very close to the castle of pierrefonds which we visited
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything about the room and hotel over all - the Jules Verne theme of the room was fun, comfortable beds, great breeze from all the windows we kept open, ample bathroom, delicious breakfast in the charming breakfast room, great common area to relax, a scenic courtyard. The hotel is really close to Chateau de Pierrefonds and several restaurants and pastry shops, short walks to all, as well as to the Forest of Compiègne. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

Access to a guest lounge and kitchen. Room overloooked castle walls. The parking was perfect. Breakfast home made and just lovely. The owner is a super host deserves 10 plus. Thank you so much .

The place was beautiful; situated in a fantastic location, and the owner was lovely and made such an effort to make our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Breakfast included homemade cakes, croissants, bread and a selection of meat, cheese and fruit - delicious! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed get away in a central, but quiet location.

Pros: It was a lovely room, velux windows had covers but not the skylights, so light came in when sun got up. The host was lovely as was the breakfast. Enjoyed our one night stay. Compiegne was very interesting, we would like to return.

Pros: The breakfast was wonderful. Delphine made us feel at home. Very relaxing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Wee bit tricky to find it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good everything you needed. Our room on the ground floor was large with some very nice quirky one off touches. The owner Delphine was very helpful and spoke excellent English which was great for us with our limited French
Cons: The only thing I didn’t like was the fact we didn’t stay longer. One night is not long enough as there is a lot to see and do in and around Compiegne.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delphine was very accommodating and would cook a breakfast if required.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Madame was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was all made fresh, including a delicious fruit salad served each morning. We had the Garden Room which was a beautiful room with lots of space, and with it's own small terrace on to the garden which was quiet and private. The location to explore not only the lovely town of Compiegne but the surrounding forest and Armistice Glade, couldn't have been better. Madame also recommended a very good restaurant for dinner and even booked a table for us. There was free mineral water in the room which she kindly replenished each day. A real gem of a find.
Cons: I can honestly think of nothing we weren't happy with.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast, comfy bed, water pressure in shower was awesome. Every detail is taken into account. Great recommendations for local restaurants as well.

Cons: We only stayed 1 night...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Alix could not do enough to make our stay memorable. She presented an exquisite four course dinner menu and at breakfast we sampled her home made jams and yoghurt.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A simply stunning house with historic interest commissioned by the composer of Flower Duet - Leo Delibes. The house is shaped like a piano and the owners are lovely and extremely helpful. Our room was spacious, full of interesting memorabilia, quiet and beautiful garden. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the tree lined garden so very secluded / quiet location. Continental breakfast was very nice and lots of it!
Cons: The long gravel driveway up to the house was not good to navigate on our motorbikes. It’s okay with a car but if you are on motorbikes take care or park just inside the gated entrance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful location with the forest adjacent for nice morning and evening walks the family was very responsive and the room was exquisite.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: It felt more like staying with friends in their private country house than being in a hotel...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Totally exceeded our expectations - and they were already high! This is a very lovely place to stay, nice ambience, charm and plenty of history there. The rooms are very generous, beautifully decorated to a high standard, comfortable relaxing beds and excellent bathroom facilities. The hosts are exemplary, they make your stay most welcome you feel like you are staying with "family". The breakfast is lovely too, home made jams, a selection of pastries and excellent bread and butter. Will definitely recommend this to anyone.
Cons: Nothing - we felt that the owners have put so much care and attention into the place.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: No TV in room which was fantastic..we read and chatted instead.. Lovely comfy bed.. Exceptional history of the house which made it exciting for us. The hosts were charming, their children perfect.. The church bells rang out in the morning.. The garden filled with birdsong.. Lovely.
Cons: No lock on bedroom door.. I understand the concept of it being a guest house, sharing with the family and other guests but one doesn't know who one will be sharing with.. I felt uncomfortable leaving credit cards etc in room when we went down to eat or out for a walk.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The home-made jams and garden honey were amazing. The owners are so passionate about their environment and guest experience it is impossible not to want to make an immediate return booking.
Cons: Nothing, but clearer signage from town and at the gate would have been helpful.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly they could not do enough for us. Would definitely recommend if you are ever in this very beautiful part of France

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location. Stunning chateau nearby in pretty town with good facilities and restaurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Near perfection ! Beautiful property with history (stables visited by Emperess Eugenie...), transformed with good taste into welcoming and comfortable guest rooms and apartments (Gites). We enjoyed : the cleanliness/neatness, the style, the quietness, the countryside (a large garden and surrounding forest, though it is not isolated), the location (very convenient with a car for Armistice memorial, Compiegne and palace, PierreFonds and castle, forest and lakes etc.), the large parking space, and the warm welcome by the owner keen to make guests feel at home, to help with discovery of the area. (i almost forgot : breakfast ++ ! ) [we were in a guest room, not an apartment]
Cons: Only one regret : check-in 5-7PM /check-out 11AM. Leaves little time to enjoy the property for an overnight stay.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms we very nice, extremely clean. The hosts were very helpful. Breakfast was good.
9.3 Excellent

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, atmosphere, decoration, staff
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful place to stay. The host was very nice and hospitable. We would recommend this B&B
7.5 Good
Pros: check in / check out very easy ; host very friendly despite my poor french , very talkative and put us on a good foot for what to do around, which is not to be underestimated; Pierrefonds is a very nice town and there is a very nice castle, 10minutes drive from the hotel; zone is very quiet and pleasant to wake up in the morning and go to sleep in the evening;
Cons: Rooms were poorly illuminated, using a low intensity light LED . Bathroom door was about to fall down ( or at least that was the impression ) , sofa very small for a family . There was not much to do in the hotel , a very unstable swing was al there is. Breakfast was very nicely presented, but the content very poor : just bread , butter , jam and fruityogurt, chocomilk : not the braekfast I would expect for the price of the room, but at least the bread was warm.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room and bathroom, very comfortable bed and lovely breakfast room
Cons: The check in is very limited so you have to get there at a specific time
La Charmée - Jonquières - Building

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderfull place with wonderfull people. Very romantic and clean room with tastefull breakfast. And nice natural around.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We received a warm welcome on arrival and were delighted by the accommodation which was well thought out and beautifully decorated. The kitchen facilities meant we could prepare an evening meal and the continental breakfast with homemade jams etc. was excellent. After we had settled in we sat in the garden enjoying a glass of wine which was a perfect end to a busy day.
Cons: Hard to find fault with this lovely accommodation
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good welcome, nice room & accomodation, very friendly & helpfull hosts. The whole place has been renovated with an eye for every detail. Loved the different homemade jams with breakfast. Been here for 6 nights, and even though I needed to work during the days (bussines trip), the evenings felt like I was on holiday. Will come back in the future with my wife, to explore more of the beautifull and calm countryside. You guys are doing a great job!
Cons: Honest: everything was ok, not a single complaint!

Une Chambre à la Campagne - Thourotte - Building
9
8.9 Excellent (89 reviews)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nathalie was a very friendly host. The rooms were stylish in an old fashioned way and comfortable and were in an annexe just a few yards away from the main residence
Cons: Parking is excellent with a suitable car as right outside the door but low level cars would risk damage. There are a few places to park a short walk away
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very friendly and helped us book an evening meal. Breakfast was excellent and the timing for this was very flexible
Cons: Access to the drive was steep and our very ordinary car scraped the ground significantly so after one attempt we parked elsewhere. The mattress needed replacing as it sagged. The room was otherwise comfortable but not €65.00 worth.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bett was a bit too soft. Host very very nice.

Hotel Beaudon - Pierrefonds - Building
10
8.7 Excellent (575 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Beaudon in Pierrefonds, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Chateau de Pierrefonds and Compiegne Forest.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Owner run and managed and it really shows, efficient and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We are a family of 5 plus our dog. We had a double room and next door a room with two double beds (each in a separate area so there was both character and privacy). Lots of space and windows and stunning views. The bed and pillows were very comfy and it was not too hot at night.
Cons: Nothing, it was ideal.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and most rooms have a view over the lake. Our room didn't which was a bit of a shame although the outlook over the town is still rather nice. The hotel is in the centre of Pierrefonds and the castle is easy to reach and the lovely village square. The restaurant serves nice food
Cons: Rather oddly for a booking of a double room we have two double beds in different rooms. Not a negative point, just rather surprising. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable and the decor could do with modernising throughout
6.8 Good
Pros: Location is on walking distance from the castle of Pierrefonds. Good breakfast. Adequate hotel for a one night stay, but not for a longer stay.
Cons: No airco and and no possibility to get a fan when it was 43 degree C outside, which made it hard to sleep. Understood that a fan would not be allowed from the fire brigade, but in the previous 2 hotels, a fan was provided without problem... We had a room on the the third floor, but no elevator...

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is splendid.
Cons: It was all good

Cons: French hidden speed cameras
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming little inn in a lovely spot, good food on an outdoor terrace. Large bathroom and windows on 2 sides for good airflow.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was small, but clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful. I loved the views of the château from the hotel!
Cons: There was too much single-use plastic in the room (for example, flimsy plastic cups in film packaging). There was also an issue with the Wi-Fi one afternoon/evening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the welcoming of the hosts, the excellent breakfast, the location

Pros: the village. the room was large. the bed was comfortable. cleanliness everywhere. quiet at night.
Cons: a bulb was missing in the bedroom. the toilet paper felt like sandpaper. the food was the greatest disappointment: we had such a good memory of fabulous food, and this year, it was just so-so. The plate presentation was not attractive, a mishmash of vegetables, the meats were tough. Dessert was blah. What happened to the chef? staff was respectful and efficient, but not all were smiling, that's ok with me. But I like friendliness.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good food and staff and lovely position in such a pretty quiet village in the middle of the forest with a charming old abbey about 200 yards away
Cons: the actual view from our window could have been better but with comfortable beds and such a quiet surroundings so no sounds at night it more than made up for it.
7.0 Good
Pros: The cuisine was, as always, excellent and typically traditional
Cons: This was our fourth visit to the hotel and the room allocated to us was the most disappointing yet - it was very noisy indeed from early in the morning - we were sited over the kitchen delivery entrance
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant is a little gem. Not the cheapest but the food was excellent. Lovely little village with nice woodland walks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous gastronomic dining experience in exquisite village. This is a wonderful location in the autumn when there was frost on the ground and the trees all around this village were turning colour. The restaurant is not only beautiful with wonderful open fires but the food is amazing. The rooms are warm and cosy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, great service, pretty rooms
Cons: Larger bath.

Pros: Comfortable quaint and cosy - the kids loved it. very nice relaxing vibe.

Pros: Kitchen, shower terasse view heater facilities are nice.
Cons: Breakfast was not good enough especially biscuits and pain au chocolate. And spiders but it s nature it s ok:)

Pros: How beautiful it and all the surrounding huts were and the beautiful decorations and little details. The location in the forest was perfect for our kids to explore safely. The people running it were absolutely amazing - incredibly friendly and helpful
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like but it’s worth noting it can be difficult/costly to access without a car
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice specially furnished bungalow as if we were in a fairytale. Nice terrace.
Cons: We booked for 6 people but only received 2 towels . The owner informed us that this was mentioned in the booking which was correct but still we expect to receive towels for all guests. Eventually the owner was very helpful and gave us exceptionally 2 extra towels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were late in arrival. The staff was very friendly and helpful !
Cons: It was all perfect!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very unique and the kids found it very magical, especially once they saw the princess castle (chateau) in the village! The site offered many different types of accommodation as well as standard pitches for caravans/tents etc. The staff were very friendly. Their English was very limited but we got by.
Cons: There was a pretty bad damp smell inside the house and the beds felt damp. The mrs was worried about her hair smelling musty the day after.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quirky, cute little place. Really quiet spot and perfect for visiting the castle.
Cons: The bed was really hard! And we didn’t get breakfast on the last day

7.0 Good
Pros: Nice location, easily accessible from the motorway, beautiful surroundings
Cons: There was no possibility for dining, no reception. the bathroom would need some rennovation, the hall was not so clean. I would have expected more confort for the price.
7.0 Good
Pros: Big room and spacious. Breakfast in the room. Good for families.
Cons: Multiple lights did not work. There was not an iron and board. Bread was already in our room when we arrived so it was stale by the time breakfast arrived. Microwave was very old and did not work.

Pros: Gorgeous, quiet location
Cons: Sugary breakfast selection.
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely building, lots of parking space
Cons: You had to go to the golf course to get your keys and it was not clear how to get in and out. No staff on site so you had to phone the golf course reception. We had to let other guests in as they had the same issue.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Comfortable room in very attractive old building. The attraction here is staying in the Chateau. The setting aside a golf course is attractive but signs forbid walking anywhere on the course.
Cons: There are no facilities- keys have to be pickup up from a golf course club house about a mile from the room. Breakfast was left in the room and was only adequate. Hard to rate this property as there are no facilities and no staff at the property.

Pros: Location
Cons: Water for the bath was not hot enough The plug socket was broken next to the bed
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This was a repeated stay with the same positive experience. Comfortable bed, very good breakfast (for extra charge), tea/cofee set in the room.
Cons: It was a bit of a challenge to let the fresh air into the room as the window did not hold in the open position. There is currently a construction site directly in front of some of the windows (incl. mine) yet this didn't bother me as I was out during working hours anyway.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was new fresh and clean
Cons: The "welcome trays" advertised on the website are no longer provided. The restaurant is closed (but they still do breakfast). The hotel is falling apart. The ceiling in the hall was leaking water - they had buckets to catch the water. The buckets were overflowing. It was not raining. There are major building works going on next door, which block the views from the windows at the front of the building
5.8 Okay
Pros: The beer
Cons: Pillow
5.8 Okay
Cons: Breakfast was expensive and viennoiseries and pancakes were all very cold. I do not like coffees from machine as it always taste horrible. The only good thing was the freshly squeezed orange juice. So 13 euros was too expensive.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was lovely very well set out. The food was great. Would definitely recommend to friends and family
Cons: A small and pleasant hotel. Rooms are dated, could do with a bit TLC. The bed was uncomfortable. The restaurant was very clean and tidy the food was excellent. Very friendly staff. Towels and bedding could have been changed more frequent.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was great, right in the middle of town next to the pond. Great location.
Cons: We were literally the only guests in the hotel. The frustrating part was that we arrived early and their check in is not until 6 PM. Which if they were busy I would say makes sense, but they made us wait. The breakfast for the cost was absolutely not something I would do again, strongly suggest not doing it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location was just right and ticked all the boxes
Cons: it was OK
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent; we had a view of the chateau from our room. Dinner was superb & nicely presented. Breakfast was plentiful with a variety of choices.
Cons: Bed could be more comfortable. We are used to a firm mattress on a box spring. This bed reminded us of beds we slept on as children.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Friendly staff
Cons: Only 1 pillow each.8
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was spectacular and the food from the chef appreciated after the terrible food in Paris.
Cons: Everything was wonderful.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The shower head would benefit from a wall holder.
Cons: No wall holder for the shower head.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The castle. The castle! Nice atmosphere of the hotel. Incredible view of the castle from the bedroom window.
Cons: A 6pm check in seems unusual (We were able to request an earlier access for 4pm) but not so convenient for most people, I am sure.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, bedroom and breakfast were all good and the sight of the martins flying outside the bedroom window was a great joy! The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely overlooking the courtyard. Private parking was also good and secure although if you wish and there is space you can park on the road for free. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was also plenty of choice for breakfast. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant, however whilst it is located at the rear of the hotel it is run separately. Therefore you will need to book either via reception or personally and it will be subject to availability.
Cons: The WiFi was really bad during our stay and when you did manage to get on to the internet it was not for long and was very slow.
